The rooms are excellent with a great outlook. At Christmas a lunch party was arranged for those relatives who could not make it on Christmas Day. This was an excellent idea and we all enjoyed it very much. The standards and facilities of the home are exceptional with the managers visible and always available. I would highly recommend Fremantle Court.

My godmother couldn't have been looked after any better than she was at Fremantle Court. I truly believe she was loved by the members of staff who are all amazing.

Today was her funeral and we had the wake at Fremantle Court - what a blessing, they did a magnificent send off for her. We cannot thank them all enough for caring and loving her as much as we did.

There should be more flexibility on choice of food for those physically challenged (digestion, chewing, dislikes). Food provided is of a good standard.

Staff are good but there is a need for less trainees - more qualified basic care assistants.

Home is very welcoming and clean, staff are always helpful and supportive, they always show respect and dignity towards my granny, also to others in the home. The activities have improved massively, I've managed to attend a few and I have been very impressed, Remembrance Day display was amazing, very creative and inspiring, my granny and I spoke it about it in depth. Bonfire night was spectacular! The manager put on quiet a show with the fireworks! Everyone was kept safe and provided with warm blankets, hot drinks and soup. Staff ensured all family and friends were also looked after, very nice. For Christmas the home was in full spirit, we had Santa come along who delivered presents to all the elderly, it truly was wonderful to see, food looked great too! Over all a brilliant place to be, I have all the faith in the staff and manager, my granny is in a safe and caring environment which gives me peace.

Overall Experience

I visited my Aunt for the festive season, who is a resident at Fremantle Court Care Home at Stoke Mandeville, and we attended some of the home Christmas events. I have to admit that it was an extraordinary experience, which we all had for the first time. The staff were welcoming and the home had a homely atmosphere, which gave us the certainty that the residents seemed happy and cared for. My Auntie has a very positive experience and she seemed delighted and pleased about the place. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the staff who seem to do a wonderful job with my Aunt and the rest of the residents.

From the first day, everyone at Fremantle Court made my dad feel really well cared for at a really difficult time.
Dad is so much better thanks to all the good food, care and attention he had.

Really well-designed building, Dad appreciates as he was an architect - each room has a nice view and ensuite with wifi, satellite and TV points so he has everything he needs - thank you!

Following replacement hip operation, I needed convalescence care and rehabilitation.
I stayed for 2 weeks in Henley Wing - it was a very good experience. Management and all staff were extremely caring and helpful in building my confidence.
The home designs both internal and external provided excellent facilities to help my recovery with safe walking and my exercise plan.
Generally, the food was very good but unfortunately, a couple of main meals were a little disappointing due to being served cold.

Overall, a very good experience. I would certainly recommend to someone in a similar situation to myself. Thank you.

In my experience, Freemantle Court is well led and the nursing services are thorough and caring. The staff are alert to issues that arise and keep in close contact with families. The modern facilities are of a high standard throughout superior to a great many others.

Mum has been in Chequers Wing for nearly 3 years. She has settled after an uncertain start and relates to many of her carers in a positive way. Sadly, her dementia has deteriorated and life has changed for mum and us, including family. Always being the 'Queen Bee' has never left her and she has moments of recognition and joy, sadly few and far between. The care on the ward is really good, however, the stimulation (which they all need) is lacking. Overall, the wing functions with a caring nature and we hope that continues.

Deepthi JoseJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2026

Deepthi began her nursing career in India, qualifying in 2008 before relocating to the UK in 2010. While settling into life in the UK, she worked as a Senior Carer and successfully completed the examinations required to transfer her nursing registration. After qualifying as a Registered Nurse, Deepthi progressed into leadership roles, including Unit Manager for a 48-bed unit within a 120-bed nursing home, and later Clinical Lead within a 28-bed nursing home.

Over more than ten years with the same organisation, she gained significant experience in clinical practice and operational management, supporting colleagues to deliver high standards of care while ensuring residents’ individual needs remained at the centre of everything she did.

In 2020, Deepthi took on the role of Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead at Lewin House, where she continued to uphold strong clinical governance and provide clear, compassionate leadership until January 2026. She has now joined Fremantle Court as Home Manager, leading the home into its next chapter.

Alongside her professional responsibilities, Deepthi has remained committed to ongoing development. She has completed a postgraduate nursing certificate at Oxford Brookes University and is currently undertaking a Level 5 Operational Management course to further strengthen her leadership and management skills.

Deepthi said:

“I am proud to join Fremantle Court as Home Manager. For me, this home is more than a workplace; it is a community where compassion, dignity and high-quality care guide everything we do. My priority is to ensure our residents feel safe, respected and truly at home, while supporting our colleagues to deliver care they can be proud of every day.”

Deepthi’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Fremantle Court. With her strong clinical background and commitment to collaborative leadership, she is focused on building on the home’s positive reputation and ensuring it remains a warm, welcoming place for residents, families and colleagues alike.
