A friendly, clean, tidy and very well run care home with lots of choice of things to do for the residents. The staff are caring and very kind with nothing too much trouble.

The meals are well prepared fresh and look lovely. All in all a good well run care home.

My mother has been in the home for just over 2 months and she has been so well looked after and although she's living with Parkinson's, nothing has stopped her embracing all the activities and I cannot say enough about the carers and activities staff. They are all excellent. It's wonderful seeing my mother happy, loves and most importantly, safe. It's reassurance for me and my family. Thank you Asterbury Place. I highly recommend the home.

From the moment we entered Asterbury Place, we were blown away by the place. The staff all seem happy, the place is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Staff are supportive to mum and to us as a family. The ambience is fantastic. We cannot fault anything and the difference in my mum is unbelievable. The staff are all a credit to the company. Thank you.

A very caring environment. Lovely carers. Good food. Always ready to listen to family concerns if any crop up.
Everyone is friendly and always acknowledge residents and visitors. Generally, we as a family have found mum to be happy and warm here. Requests are always considered.

Entertainment is good as well and craft interests. Mum loves the music.

Meet the Team (1)

Wendy Hutton
Wendy HuttonJob Title:Home Manager

I have been in the social care sector for most of my working life, having worked my way up from a carer to home management roles. I have worked with a range of providers, but I became interested in joining Care UK after seeing how they develop their colleagues. I thought this would be a care provider that can really help me progress in my career. I first joined Care UK at Cedrus House in May 2021, and I was promoted to Deputy Manager in January 2023. In December 2023, I moved over to Asterbury Place.

In this role, I believe it’s important to be patient, resilient and supportive. I love that no two days are ever the same. Seeing the smiles on residents’ faces is my favourite part of the day, and I feel proud when they are happy and when colleagues leave their shift happy.
