As soon as you enter the place you can feel a wonderful atmosphere. The place feels busy and all residents are active and busy. The rapport between residents and staff is a delight to see.

We would wholeheartedly recommend Sutton Grange Care Home.
Mum received the highest quality personalised care throughout her stay, which was also extended to family members when visiting. The whole team, from Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurses and Carers took the important time to get to know our Mum, her life story, her likes and dislikes and we felt confident her wishes were made possible for her.
Sutton Grange has amazing facilities, beautiful, spacious rooms, lounge/dining areas, gardens and garden patio that we enjoyed as a family on many different occasions. There was always something being celebrated to enhance the lives of residents and their families, we particularly enjoyed the gardens and a Mother's Day family party in the home. The chef's shortbread biscuits are now a thing of legend in our family.
At end of life, Mum and family were wrapped in sensitive, patient loving care and we are deeply grateful for this special time we were enabled to have with her.

Thank you.

The recent move to Sutton Grange has been a fantastic experience for my elderly dad who has dementia. Management and staff all worked together to quickly settle him in and make him feel secure and valued. Dad is sociable by nature and despite his Dementia, all the staff have taken the time and trouble to get to know his ways and make him feel part of the family. Dad has responded so well to the caring, relaxed and inclusive environment. There is a genuine warmth about the place. The facilities are lovely but it is the staff who make Sutton Grange such an oasis. Well Done and a big thank you from all the family.

When we arrived at Sutton Grange we had a wonderful greeting. So friendly, kind and very polite. It's such a fabulous care home, spotless. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are so very helpful, you don't feel like you're in a care home, more like being in a 5-star hotel. Just what you want for your special gentle people. Wonderful.

My mum has been in Sutton Grange for coming up to 2 years. During this time I can only go by what I have seen and experienced, and this has been caring, kindness, compassion, shown to her by all the staff from top to bottom.
I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to place relatives or a loved one in Sutton Grange. The home has been through a rough time over the last 12 months, but thankfully they have turned the corner, for the better.

Long may this continue.

My sister moved 200 miles to Sutton Grange. When we arrived, the staff all came together to welcome her and help unload cars of her belongings. The staff are very attentive and encouraging.
The management is very professional but also friendly and helpful.

This undoubtedly is the best care that she could expect to receive and also a lovely room with a garden outlook.

My mother was in full-time care in Sutton Grange until her death in August. During her eighteen months of there, she was shown great care and love. She was treated as a human person with dignity and respect. The staff were always about and ready to help.
The management now in place were clear in their philosophy of making it a home where residents felt they were at home. They succeeded in this with my mum and even though her illness made caring a difficult situation, she was happy there.
I always felt confident in the welfare my mum received across her time there. Staff were always friendly and supportive.
I always wanted my mum to return to Sutton Grange after her hospital stays. They worked closely with the medical services to ensure she received her medication promptly and in line with guidance.

I would recommend it as a care home which is striving to improve and build upon its good practice. I would have had no hesitation in placing my mum back there if it had been possible.

My mother has been a resident at Sutton Grange for just over 2 years. Whereas in the early days we were impressed by the care provided and atmosphere, we noticed changes during the latter part of last year that were not good. During the last 3 and a half months, however, with changes in staff and management, things have improved greatly.

We were glad to get my mother into this home early in 2018 after our experience of good end-of-life care for my father. The facilities for residents and their friends and family are excellent with many different areas to sit and lovely grounds to enjoy in good weather. This adds to the quality of our time together when visiting. Since May, changes in management, development of staffing structures and additional staff training are all having an impact on the atmosphere which seems happier and more purposeful. The staff try hard to offer a range of activities tailored to individuals' interests and needs and we have seen my mother improving as she has been able to participate more.

He's walking better, eating better and his whole demeanour has greatly improved. He is still talking about it and his only complaint was that everyone went to bed too soon and there was no-one left to talk to! If that is all he can grumble about we can live with that.
I know that he has started a letter to the home and we are currently getting some pictures of him when he was a Royal Marine to accompany the letter.

Thank you again.

From my initial meeting with the manager to review mum for respite to mum spending a week with Sutton Grange, I was made to feel confident that my mum would be well looked after. It was the first time for mum going into respite care so was a little scary for us all. I would recommend Sutton Grange Grange from my experience this time. Thanks for looking after mum.

Today 9th March, the care has been especially good thanks to a certain senior carer here at Sutton Grange. She spent time with dad, gave him a wet shave and generally made him feel a lot better and well groomed. This is how it should always be - Thanks to good well-trained staff.
