Management and staff all worked together to quickly settle him in and make him feel secure and valued. Dad is sociable by nature and despite his Dementia, all the staff have taken the time and trouble to get to know his ways and make him feel part of the family. We were glad to get my mother into this home early in 2018 after our experience of good end-of-life care for my father. The facilities for residents and their friends and family are excellent with many different areas to sit and lovely grounds to enjoy in good weather. This adds to the quality of our time together when visiting. Since May, changes in management, development of staffing structures and additional staff training are all having an impact on the atmosphere which seems happier and more purposeful. The staff try hard to offer a range of activities tailored to individuals' interests and needs and we have seen my mother improving as she has been able to participate more.

Today 9th March, the care has been especially good thanks to a certain senior carer here at Sutton Grange. She spent time with dad, gave him a wet shave and generally made him feel a lot better and well groomed. This is how it should always be - Thanks to good well-trained staff.

Before joining the team I worked in specialist mental health roles supporting those with learning difficulties and cognitive impairment for over 30 years. Working with our elderly generation is extremely rewarding and I only wish I'd done it sooner. Sutton Grange is a special place and I am proud to be part of the team - plus there is never a dull moment.
My Wife and I are lucky enough to share our home with our many dogs, horses and cats. They all keep me very busy, safe to say we are animal-mad!
