Sutton Grange Care Home is specifically designed to provide high-quality residential and nursing care to the elderly, including those individuals living with dementia, in a warm, homely and friendly environment.

The home's Memory Lane Community provides high-quality care and support for people living with dementia. Within the community, memory boxes with small reminders and items, such as photographs, are used to help each person reminisce. Features, such as adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low risk walkways and activity kitchens, also enable people to engage in life's everyday simple tasks and pleasures.

Essential to the homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust that staff build with family, friends and residents; and the luxurious facilities, combined with highly trained staff, ensures that each and every individual is given the attention they deserve. First impression excellent, very clean and tidy, staff are friendly. Mum was very well cared for, food looked very appetising. Would have no problem using and recommending again.

My Mother-in-Law has stayed for 2 weeks. the care she received was top notch. The staff, nurses, and bosses were so friendly and helpful. When we left on our honeymoon we could relax knowing that my Mother-in-Law was in very safe hands.
She seemed to be happy staying here. We will definitely be using
Sutton Grange again.

Sutton Grange in Banks near Southport is a wonderful place to be cared for especially when nearing the end of your life. It is an excellent Care Home, 5 star Plus with wonderful caring staff for both client and the family they are very professional and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. They
treat you with dignity and love, the Staff from the management to the nursing staff to the chefs and cleaning staff, they are are all excellent. The nursing Wing comes Highly recommended by our family.

Environment excellent. Dad loved the garden and the trees. The food was lovely and the staff. Only lacked some male company to chat to of his own age but that's standard.

Sutton Grange is in my opinion an excellent care home, the staff are dedicated and very caring, the rooms and the general layout provide a very comfortable, secure and clean environment for both residents and visiting family members.
The best endorsement I can provide is from my Father who is a current
resident, after a difficult settling period he has now with the help of the staff, settled in beyond our expectations. He maintains that he 'loves it here' and constantly praises the quality of the food, the staff and his room.

My Grandmother was moved into Sutton Grange late last year. Upon my first visit I was overjoyed with the facilities and staff. I wanted to take the time to review the home as all members of the team are always happy and made visits enjoyable and their hard work deserves recognition. From reception/office
- kitchen staff and all the wonderful carers in between every one at SG ensures residents are cared for to the highest standards, while maintaining an upbeat and pleasant living environment, something that due to their workload most carers are unable to maintain. I am particularly impressed with the monthly coffee mornings that are held for residents and their family to attend, the sing songs in particular I know my nana enjoys thoroughly! (and the home made cakes are delicious!) the facilities and general feel of the place differs dramatically from other care homes. There is no sense of it being a 'care home' or somewhere for 'old people' - its in fact more like a 5* hotel, with stunning decor and a homely feel. With interactive objects all around her attention is always taken by bright and familiar objects as opposed to being sat in front of a tv all day - something I have seen happen in the past. Recently I have moved overseas. In an attempt to help me remain in contact with her the staff at SG have kindly been taking time to live Skype me on days such as Christmas so that I had the chance to well wish my nan. I am so overwhelmed at the kindness of this act that I just had to take to carehome.co.uk and ensure that Sutton Grange received (Another) 'EXCELLENT' review.I have no problem recommending this beautiful home and its dedicated and wonderful staff. I am extremely happy with the level of care my nana is receiving and am simply thrilled she has been fortunate enough to become a resident at Sutton Grange.

I take a great deal of comfort from knowing that my Mother is cared for by professional but kind staff, I am aware that they make every effort to offer person centred care, whilst still maintaining her dignity and individuality. My Mother has been cared for in a few homes and this is by far the best
place, firstly for standard of care and secondly for the warm and homely environment.
I feel a sense of comfort when I visit Sutton Grange, just like when I visited my Mother, before she became my "different" Mother, due to the Alzheimer's.


Thank you to all those wonderful people at Sutton Grange , who have given my Mother a better quality of life and for putting my heart at ease ??

I can't praise the staff at Sutton Grange enough. They are all kind, caring and make time for individual residents and their families with a genuine desire to help. Caring for the elderly is an extremely demanding job and all of the staff, without exception, take a very professional approach to their
jobs, regardless of the role. I am sure there will be days when they find things difficult to cope with but they always have a smile and a word of greeting for residents and visitors alike. The home is clean, comfortable and welcoming. My father is cared for in a manner befitting his needs and as a result his health has improved. I would like to thank everyone for what they do for him.

I entered the home on a short term respite period following a long period of caring for my wife until a suitable home was found for her. Sutton Grange would have been ideal for myself but due to my medical condition and medication prevented full experience of respite. Sleeping difficulties. Home made
all possible help but were limited by nature of my problems.

Sutton Grange is a fantastic home. It was my father's (and our) second home for a period of respite care. The staff are second to none, going over and above the call of duty. I could not thank them enough for the care and support they gave us, and would recommend them to everyone!

I am a Registered General Nurse (RGN), qualifying in 1988 and I have consistently worked within the NHS and Private Care sector throughout the northwest as a Registered Manager within residential and nursing settings that have also included Specialist Dementia and end of life Care.

Before joining the team I worked in specialist mental health roles supporting those with learning difficulties and cognitive impairment for over 30 years. Working with our elderly generation is extremely rewarding and I only wish I'd done it sooner. Sutton Grange is a special place and I am proud to be part of the team - plus there is never a dull moment.


My Wife and I are lucky enough to share our home with our many dogs, horses and cats. They all keep me very busy, safe to say we are animal-mad!
