I consider Sutton Grange to be very well led by an excellent role model the general manager. The team of managers, nursing personnel, carers, chefs, administrators, housekeeping and activity team are all very professional and fully engaged in their roles and duties. My mother stayed only for a short time at the end of her life and she was very well nursed and cared for considering numerous challenging conditions. A nursing and care home is very well recommended.

Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to meet your mother and with you to help meet her care needs. It may have been a short time and we faced the challenges together. Thank you for trusting us.

I got to visit my brother-in-law almost every day with my sister (my twin). Sutton Grange is a pleasure to visit; everyone has a smile. I have never heard a raised voice. The manager and his team work so hard, all the residents seem so happy. After visiting, we leave with the knowledge that he is in good hands. Thank you all for your kindness.

Sutton Grange is an amazing home. The manager and his team are fantastic. My husband is looked after with such care and kindness and with dignity. He has a lovely room with all his pictures of his family around him which makes it his home and makes him happy. He is warm, cosy and very comfortable. The food is delicious! A great place.

I've nothing but praise for the staff. We are so happy with how Dad is being cared for. They have taken the trouble to get to know him and treat him not just with dignity but with love and compassion. It's also a lovely environment and doesn't feel like an institutionalised setting. Keep up the great work everyone!

We are so relieved to have found Sutton Grange for our wonderful Dad who suffers with advanced Alzheimer's. The decision to move Dad into a home was immeasurably hard although ultimately taken out of our hands following a stay in hospital in August.
As soon as we met the Manager and Deputy Manager and saw Sutton Grange we could feel that there was something very different and special about the place and our instinct has proved absolutely right.
Every member of the team shows care, empathy, patience and a huge warmth for Dad. He is looked after gently, with dignity and a smile - he is very much treated as a person (just one who happens to have lots of needs) rather than a problem.

Also, the empathy that has been shown to us on Dad's "not so good" days when we have been upset has been incredible - there is always time to make a cup of tea and ensure we are OK. Dad's room looks homely and warm which is such a comfort and it is never too much trouble to put another photo at mum's request!

I have no hesitation whats so ever in recommending Sutton Grange Care Home to anyone thinking of placing relatives there.
My mother is currently a full-time resident and has been for nearly two years, and I could not ask for anything more from ALL the staff, they are a dedicated team and have the residents best interests at heart, the care and attention they pay the residents is second to none, even in these uncertain times of the Covid pandemic they have remained focused on the job they have to do and keeping the residents safe.

Earlier this year I lost my father who had Dementia & Alzheimers, his care was unbelievable, he had been a resident in Sutton Grange for just over four years, so anyone considering residential care please consider Sutton Grange Care Home, you will not be disappointed.

My Aunty has been in Sutton Grange a year in February. Since then she has come on in leaps and bounds with the help of all the staff and other residents. She has made friends with a number of residents and loves the different range of activities on offer which, with the encouragement from the staff, helps her to engage. The food is always lovely and there is a good choice on offer for the residents. Thanks to all the staff at Sutton Grange for helping my Aunty come back from a very dark time in her life and start enjoying her life more in the autumn of her years.

My Dad is a resident at Sutton Grange. He has many needs which are met so very well by all the staff who care for him. I live 4 hours drive away and I can't visit as often as I would like, but I feel confident that my Dad is being looked after really well. If he has to be in residential care, and he does, I couldn't imagine a better place for him to live.

My thanks go to everyone involved in my Dad's care.

We moved my elderly father into Sutton Grange in August 2020 between lockdowns as he needed 24-hour nursing care. Sutton Grange collected him and the few belongings he was taking with him in the wheelchair adapted minibus. We were worried about his loss of home and independence but we needn’t have worried. It was absolutely the right thing to do. He has adapted well and we now have peace of mind that he has the care he needs and is in the right place. We were able to ensure he had his daily paper and his own Sky tv and phone, all of which are his main source of entertainment. The food is excellent and there is an entertainment programme provided. During lockdowns, the home has set up zoom calls and distanced meetings very efficiently. The nursing staff cope well with his needs and the sister in charge is always happy to ring you back if you need clarification or to discuss concerns. The nursing manager is pleasant and helpful.

The manager is a very compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced nurse manager. He leads and develops the whole caring team. The qualified nurses are really experienced and the carers worked so hard to help my father settle in. He moved from Sussex to Lancashire.

I cannot recommend this care home highly enough the hygiene standards, the care from all staff including Housekeeping and Catering was outstanding. My father was profoundly deaf and the activities coordinator was an expert with hearing aids. I have many happy memories of visiting my dad he was always happy and settled. He really loved the food too! I am so pleased I choose Sutton Grange, part of the Barchester group. They have very high standards of care, Thank you to all the staff, for helping and supporting me too!

My mother was a resident of Sutton Grange for approx 2 years until her death. Suffering from Alzheimer's she could be uncooperative and challenging. The staff were extremely sympathetic to her condition and very caring. During the recent lockdown when we were unable to visit I was confident that she was well cared for within the constraints imposed by the virus. In her last days, the staff were extremely caring and made sure that the family were kept informed and we felt she was treated with dignity right up to the end.

Three weeks ago our brother, who has Alzheimer’s disease, moved into Sutton Grange care home. When viewing Sutton Grange, we were impressed with the clean and modern facilities, beautiful gardens and kind and knowledgeable staff. Over the past three weeks, we have been really impressed with Sutton Grange. It is a warm, welcoming home with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff that we have met have been caring, helpful, supportive and approachable. They have gone above and beyond to support our brother’s individual and medical needs during this time. The activity coordinators have provided a wonderful programme of entertainment for him. They have really supported our brother and they have regularly updated us with news, photographs, Facetime calls and garden visits. We would like to thank Sutton Grange for the care, help and support that they have given us all so far and also for the wonderful communication which has really helped us during this very difficult period.

My mother moved into the care home in October 2015. Previously she lived alone before a spell in hospital. She was diagnosed with dementia and it was deemed unsafe for her to return home. I felt awful about taking her there. In hindsight, it was the best thing I ever did. Her quality of life improved massively! The environment, facilities, and staff were fantastic. I cannot thank the staff enough.

I have nothing but pure gratitude and admiration for the staff at Sutton Grange and I personally can't thank everyone enough for the care and dedication in looking after my Mum and all the residents during the lockdown. Not being able to visit my Mum, she is now forgetting who I am, but its helping enormously having video chats, for me anyway, with the guilt and sadness I feel. Thank you to the activities coordinator for organising this.

Not having been to visit my friend in Sutton Grange home before, I was very impressed by the welcome I received, the cleanliness of the whole home, the loving care of the staff towards the residents and the hard work of the cleaner to keep everything clean.
