All large bedrooms with flat-screen smart TV, and en-suite shower rooms, for Residential, Dementia and Nursing Care.

Chapel Care Centre has a highly trained staff team to support residents in all aspects of their daily living. They offer a range of activities to suit most tastes.

Chapel Care Centre has close links with the nearby hospital and GP service, with regular GO rounds being undertaken each week.

All meals are freshly prepared on-site by the home's chefs. Residents can choose from the menu daily, or choose an alternative should they wish. Drinks and snacks are widely available throughout the day and night.

My dear Mum spent the last 5 weeks of her life at Chapel House Care Centre and I couldn’t have asked for better care by lovely staff. Mum said that all the staff were very kind and they were very helpful and caring towards me and my family.

I have only praise for the compassionate care provided by Chapel House, first for my mother in her final month with Alzheimer's four years ago, then for my father in the final days of his illness this month. My father told me of the excellent care that Chapel House provided to my mother, which led him
to seek admission himself after his diagnosis of terminal cancer. He told me of the reassurance that he received in long conversations with the staff. The experience in Chapel House made his final days much easier to bear.

Visiting my friend in Chapel House is a very happy experience. Phone calls were encouraged when visiting because of restrictions wasn't possible. My friend is always pleased to see me and always seems very happy. Her words are 'everyone is kind to me here, I am well looked after and the food is always
lovely'. She always looks well and happy.

Albeit a brief, Covid-limited, one-day visit to see my sister, still allowed sufficient time to see that she was in very good hands.
Care, compassion and cleanliness were all on display. Staff were professional and welcoming in very trying circumstances and the patience shown in dealing with the repetitive
requirements of anti-virus safety procedures were impressive.
The personalised environment created for my sister within her room was welcomed and appreciated.
The imposed distancing from my sister and her family has been difficult but just that one, very brief visit has brought comfort that her previous and continuing care provided by all of you has been wonderful.
Thank you for your care.
PS Living away from Gloucester and having but one day's contact, there are some options that have received a nominal "good": not through indifference but through lack of knowledge.

Both of my parents lived at Chapel House. My mother suffered from dementia and the care and support in the short time she resided there was extremely professional and compassionate. The care given to my father who spent eighteen months at Chapel House was exemplary. In particular, his end of life care
was the best we could have hoped for from the wonderful staff.

I cannot recommend highly enough the care by the staff at Chapel House, given to my father during the last eighteen months. It made his life that much richer. It took me quite a time to get used to the home and the very different way it was run than Mum's last place. I must say it has lovely rooms and the staff have been very kind and caring. It has been a very difficult time over the lockdown, but staff have been helpful and accommodating where possible.
The only negative was being unable to phone for a period. Not sure if my mother has understood the lack of visits as her dementia has become much worse. I am grateful she is safe, and the garden is a bonus.

My husband went to Chapel House, Horton Road, Gloucester for a month as I had a major operation and there was no one to look after him as I am his carer. He was very happy and well looked after there which pleased all of our family.

My mother has a very comfortable, well-equipped and spacious room with en-suite facilities. Every time I have visited, the rooms look clean and tidy. My mother's nurse has been very helpful and she is well cared for in this lovely home.

My husband spent 3 months in Chapel House and during this time, right up to his death, he was treated with dignity and love by all the staff who made his final months as comfortable for him as possible. Parents were 'bed-bumped' from hospital to this care home. My impression of the management and care team plus facilities was impressive. It was my decision to insist they stayed there: Living 100 miles away we regularly visited and were always happy with the care, facilities and knowledge the staff
showed.
Contact by email or telephone was effective, accurate and helpful. It was easy to make any 'one-off' arrangements. No complaints, only grateful for the care and treatment they both received in their time at this 'home'.

Mum needed a few days of rehabilitation, after falling and breaking her writs (she's almost 93). The staff were so kind to her. They rang me to let me know she was unsettled and after being there for a couple of days she was discharged.
Her comment on leaving - It's a lovely place and I really like
the staff. It's perfect for old people. She wasn't referring to herself though. Everyone made a huge effort and I am so grateful.

I was referred by the hospital and stayed for 7 days. I enjoyed the rest and the warmth of all the staff at all levels. I had a broken my wrists and severe bruising. My room and bed were very comfortable. I did find the quality of main meals a little below par and I assume it is due to the general situation,
that is outside admin control.
