Mum spent the last 14 months of her life in Lydia Eva Court. She was extremely well cared for in what was a really difficult pandemic year.
The whole team worked together to bring a family feel to the home, everyone was bright and positive, which made Mum feel relaxed and safe.
It was comforting to
know Mum could pass in her own room and not be moved elsewhere.

Mum was in the home at a really difficult time during the Covid19 outbreak, so visiting had become very limited. As Mum deteriorated and was close to end of life my sister and I were able to sit with her on rotation. During that time we were able to see the lovely care Mum was receiving from the staff.
Particularly noticeable was the way they all knew Mum by name and how much she was seen as a lovely person. They would regularly come and say goodbye to her when they went off shift. This type of care helped my sister and I so much in what was a difficult time.

My mum was moved to Lydia Eva Court under our family insistence. She had been neglected by her previous home. When she got here she picked up in physical health and in spirit. The warmth and dedication of the care team are OUTSTANDING, she is treated by a dedicated team who take pride in all that they
do. I like, and have respect for, all that they do. I like and have respect for all the team. They all stand out in a positive light. My mum's room is kept spotlessly clean. The food is excellent. My mum is respected. This care home should be a beacon for all care homes.

My sister has been in the care home for over a year now and she has been treated with excellent care and food.
Even at times when she's not been well, they have treated her with care and consideration.
The staff are always very kind and helpful. Sometimes at weekends, they have been short staffed
but they have been very good.

My mother was very well looked after for two weeks of respite in April and again for 2 weeks in May/June.
The rooms are a lovely size, as is the bathroom, clean, bright and comfortable. The building is inviting as soon as you as arrive with its brightness, lovely gardens and well maintained communal
areas. All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make visitors feel welcome.
My mother had a wonderful time and praised all the staff on a regular basis. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay and keeps on telling people how much she enjoyed herself and she is going back again. What more could a daughter want than to be completely assured that her mother is being well cared for by lovely people and no worries for her well being.

The staff are always pleasant.
Lydia Eva has been opened for four years and is very tastefully decorated.
Could now do with a bit of a spruce up to keep up the standard.
Always spotlessly clean throughout.
Beautiful and well-kept gardens.
Food is excellent and plentiful.
My husband would benefit
from more activities.
All care homes should meet this standard.

I arrived here on the 22nd April 2015. My first impression was surely I'm not living here, this home is not what l imagined it was going to look like.
The staff are brilliant in all aspects, the cleanliness is good, just couldn't believe this is a home for dementia people.
It has got a lovely aura
about the place, the manager and her staff are very helpful.
You can go outside in the garden whenever you want. My room is in the middle of the corridor and there is always plenty of laughter going on.
So if l have to spend my last years living here l shall be very pleased and contented with the care.
