Overall Experience
The quality of service we received from all the staff at Britten Court and the Heron Suite was outstanding. My father in law was treated with respect and compassion at all times as were myself and his daughter. We found that not only was my father in law in good hands, but we were also looked after extremely well at all times. This was a constant reassurance which was greatly appreciated.

We cannot thank you all enough.

Every time I have come to visit my Mum the staff have always been friendly and polite. They can't seem to do enough for the residents to make their lives happy. There is always something going on. The rooms are airy and very clean. This is a lovely home and although I don't live in the area I would strongly recommend this great home. It is better than some hotels. Well done to all the people who work there.

As from my experience of working within the care sector, this is the best care home I have visited. The staff are friendly, care for the residents with care and dignity. The residents are well looked after with plenty of activities to keep their minds active. I am grateful for all the help and support provided. My nan has improved loads since being in your care and I am most grateful.

I cannot praise this home more highly. The care is exceptional for the residents. Its cleanliness is to be proud of and the friendliness of the staff. Also, they welcome visitors and make them feel welcome also and are always on hand. As you walk through the wings there are no "elderly" or "hospital" smells which makes the visitors experience more inviting to visit again.

My mother is treated well, and with care and dignity. She has never been so happy, she always smiles and dances, it is a joy to see her so happy, even though I just want to pick her up and take her home.

Chloe Swarbrick
Chloe SwarbrickJob Title:Home Manager

I originally began working for Care UK when it took over the running of various homes operated by Suffolk County Council. The organisation truly puts residents at the heart of everything, which I completely support. It’s also very supportive as an employer – as a manager I have a great support network to help me do my job to the highest standards.

I enjoy mornings the most at Britten Court: many residents are up and about and I can spend time with them, having a chat and finding out how they plan to spend their day. I’m privileged to work with some wonderful residents and families, including some people we’ve been supporting for a long time because they transferred from the old Council-run homes as I did!

Outside of work, I have a very busy home life. I’ve three children and eight grandchildren who I love spending time with.
