My mum has lived in Larkhill Hall over two years. During this time, we have visited 3 times as we live in the USA. The facility has improved since the beginning. Interaction and entertainment are much better. Providing activities is very important for dementia patients and I'm glad to see this is happening. Otherwise being deaf, my mum would be sleeping in front of the TV. I call from the USA nearly every week to check on Mum and the staff do their best to take the phone to her or wake her in the lounge. This is important as she knows me on the phone.

Mum has been here for 2 years and we are pleased with her care. The staff are always friendly, helpful and treat mum with kindness and dignity.
I did notice some improvements from our last visit. There seem to be more activities which I believe are very important for the residents.

Facebook is a good way for us to see how mum is doing so please continue this.

I live in the USA so it was very important for us to chose a care facility that would provide excellent care for our mother who has Dementia.
She has lived here for 2.5 years. The staff and new manager are very friendly and helpful. The residents are treated with dignity and respect.
We looked at six places before choosing this location, this is the best.
Our mum loves it here and looked after very well.

Thank you.

My mum has settled into the home in the last year. She is very happy and well looked after. Her lifestyle has vastly improved since living here due to the interaction and attention from the staff and other residents.
She has put on weight and now sleeps at the correct time of day which has brought normality back to her life.

Thank you to all staff and management for the continued hard work and effort.

I moved my Mum from another care home due to serious issues with her care and I can't praise Larkhill Hall enough for the understanding and compassion we received from all the staff, the manager at Larkhill was totally understanding during a very stressful time for our family. My Mum is treated as an individual with the utmost of kindness and all of her needs are met, staff show kindness and are dedicated to the care and wellbeing of the residents. I honestly can't speak highly enough of the wonderful way in which this care home is run my Mum's health has improved and she seems much happier now, she is offered tasty nutritious meals there is always delicious smells coming from the kitchen!! staff always seem to have time to reassure residents who are confused, I just wish all care homes were run like Larkhill Hall well done to all the staff you do an amazing job!!

We are very happy with my Mother's care in Larkhill Hall.
For the last two weeks the home has been closed because of a virus among residents and staff.

The family was very concerned because my Mother has no voice and can not easily communicate her needs. We need not have worried because she was very well looked after and all her needs catered for. The internal manager and staff struggled but came through for the residents. Well done!

I just want to commend the staff and management for all their professionalism and care during the recent outbreak of Noro-type virus in Larkhill Hall. Despite it being hard on the relatives and residents, closing the facility to outside visitors was incredibly responsible and forward thinking in order to contain the spread of the virus which must have added a huge burden on to the staff, who themselves were exposed to this awful bug. Thank you all for the extra work and care that you have given to my mum and all the other residents. Well done.

I like the home very much. I wish the turnover of staff was less frequent & the staff seem a little overworked. However, everyone is very nice and caring. I hope the home keeps up the good standard going forth with its new manager who is hopefully experienced enough.

We are happy with dad's care mostly, but occasionally we notice that the home needs more staff to attend to residents needs. Also, rooms and bathrooms could be cleaned better, and more care taken with laundry eg. stains still on clothes and wrong clothes left in the room. Also upsetting to see relatives with food on them and clothes.

We are happy with nearly all the staff and their caring ways, and if we have concerns, they are mostly, dealt with.

This is a fabulous care home. My father has been a resident for 18 months and the care and attention he gets from the careers and general staff is second to none. The standard of cleanliness is high and the cleaning staff are a delight! In fact all the staff should be praised from the warm welcome you receive at reception to the handyman/gardener. They all make my dad feel wanted and cared for. It really is a pleasure to visit. The nursing home does it's best to keep days interesting for residents by organising visits to the residents by external artists to days out. Well done Larkhill Hall.

More staff are needed on the floor, still same amount of staff on duty now as when dad first arrived here and the floor was not full!
Dad does not get shaved daily, I nearly always do it and he looks very dishevelled.

All staff are very helpful when you ask them something, but some areas are lacking

On entering the home it is beautiful all the staff are friendly and mum is very happy there. But since mum went in in March 2015 her clothes and some belongings have gone missing even though we paid £25 to have them tagged, we have replaced them and mum got more for her birthday of relatives once they go to the laundry we don't see them again, Its a shame. Sometimes when I go out she is not dressed properly and she can't dress herself, we are not happy about that.

Staff are always helpful and attentive to residents needs, the care home always appears well staffed with more than adequate carer/resident ratio. I feel comfortable with approaching staff with queries/problems, which if have occurred have been dealt with swiftly and concluded successfully. My mother appears to enjoy living there and thankfully, never complains about anything to us, which may lead us to question her care. I have on occasion witnessed staff having to deal with difficult scenarios and feel that these were addressed in an appropriate and empathetic way. It goes without saying that the lady from front of house is a wonderful, welcoming member of the team and always willing to help - great work from everyone, thanks.

My mum has mixed dementia / Alzheimer's and became a resident at Larkhill Hall in early November 2015. The home is excellent, very modern, well kept and always spotless. There seems to be plenty of activities and entertainment provided and the staff interact well with the residents. The Christmas party and new year's eve entertainment were great.

It's early days and mum is still settling in but she seems more content on each visit. Communication by the home on any issues is also excellent and, when visiting, the staff have kept us well informed on how she's been. All staff at Larkhill seem very caring, professional, always friendly and upbeat every time I visit.

I feel that my mum is safe in Larkhill Hall, is well looked after and that for her, it is the next best place to being in her own home. It's a pleasure to visit mum there and I don't think we could have found a better home for her. This is how all care homes should be and, based on the relatively short time my mum has been there, I can't recommend it highly enough.
