I find the staff are polite, helpful and always happy. Always quick to rectify any problems and answer any concerns.

All are friendly, helpful and happy to assist promptly.

I have no concerns about my mother's care and highly recommend Anwen, like a home from home and like a big warm hug.

Anwen has become a much more friendly, professional, and well-run care home. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are extremely caring of the residents. The home is always spotlessly clean. There is often music playing in the lounge and dining areas and the residents, who are able, are encouraged to join in activities such as singing, crafts, and gardening. I am always treated with courtesy when I visit and feel confident knowing that my husband is in the care of such an excellent team.

The staff are friendly and helpful. So are the management. The garden has been landscaped lovely, but the bedrooms inside could do with a facelift, they've been the same for the last 4 years. Nurses are very caring, and I was informed straight away if anything was wrong with my husband, cleaners were very friendly while doing their job. Food was lovely squash not so good.

I would like to thank you all for the kindness and help to my mother and the family.

My dad went into Anwen the week before Christmas. He had a very warm welcome and was included in all the Christmas activities. We as a family are very pleased with the care my dad has in Anwen, all the staff are very polite and everyone takes the time to interact with my dad from managers, carers, activities and cleaners. It is a lovely home with a beautiful garden. Highly recommend.

Anwen Care Home is a very nice nursing home with lovely grounds for the residents to spend time outdoors. The staff are very friendly and caring. The place has a very calm atmosphere and the residents seem very content and settled there.

My brother has been at Anwen since the 1st of February. On my first visit I was amazed at the atmosphere, I didn't feel I was in a care home, none of the usual smells etc. that I was expecting. The staff are wonderful, extremely caring and very proactive. I always feel very welcome and staff always have time to answer any questions, even though they are always very busy. We are very lucky to have found such a good care home for my brother.

Brother and a friend both love the home. Very happy. I visit every week. Known friend years, sorted for him to go there. Anwen is very clean and tidy.

Their care towards my grandfather was second to none. Thank you to all the staff for the level of care, dignity and compassion that was shown to my grandfather and the rest of my family.

My husband has only recently been transferred to Anwen Care Home. But from the moment we stepped through the door into such a bright and spotless environment and were welcomed by the courteous staff. We as a family knew that here he would at last be given the care and attention that we could no longer give him. When I have to leave him I am happy and content that his care needs are being met.

Anwen Care Home is amazing! My dad recently moved here from another care home where we as family were very disappointed with his care. Since being in Anwen we are amazed at the difference, not only in his care and nursing needs but also in the staff and home environment. We finally feel that all my dads care is a priority which definitely puts our minds at ease. The care home manager is great and approachable.

The care shown to my dad has been amazing and to us as a family especially in the days up until my dad's death last Friday. One member of staff especially for her help and compassionate words to me and the agency nurse for his compassion and care. I will always remember him telling me that my dad's eyebrows raised when he cracked a joke. A positive memory of my dad's last few months. Thank you to all, and also thank you to management for your support.

I am so grateful for the help, support and care that my dad received at Anwen Care Home. The staff not only looked after Dad but supported us as a family at a really difficult time. The last week of Dad's life was much more manageable due to the kindness and support of the manager who was so kind and gentle with Dad. Another staff member was also incredibly kind, continually making sure we had eventually everything he needed.

My mother-in-law had been in poor health for quite some time before she moved to Anwen in November 2023. From the very start, all of the staff at Anwen were caring, patient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We very quickly knew that my mother-in-law was in the right care home. On our regular visits, we were always greeted with a smile and a friendly word. The care didn’t stop at my mother-in-law, my father-in-law was also looked after on his regular visits. Anwen kept in touch by phone and if there was a problem, we were kept informed at all times. My mother-in-law passed away on the 20th of December and once again all of the staff helped us through a very difficult time. Thank you to everyone at Anwen.

Throughout her time at Anwen Care Home, especially since the change of management, my mother’s care has been exemplary. The staff, without exception, have always been kind and helpful and my mum adored them. During the last few difficult weeks the staff and management were just as kind to me and my sisters, keeping us fed, serving endless cups of tea and supporting us throughout, I cannot thank them enough. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Anwen to anyone faced with the difficult decision of having to place a loved one into residential care.

The staff did not take long to discover my mother's likes and dislikes and make every effort to ensure that she is happy and comfortable. I am notified immediately if she is ill and, if for some reason I am unable to be reached, another member of my family is contacted. We, as a family, definitely feel happy in the knowledge that my mother is safe and well cared for.

Overall experience when regular staff are on is very good and understanding to our needs as a family and what care we would like for my mother.

I would highly recommend Anwen and am so pleased my mum settled in so quickly. As soon as I took the first steps I knew mum would be happy. All staff are friendly, it's homely and clean. Mum loves people and enjoys the entertainment on offer which means a lot to her and peace of mind for us. I would like to say to all the staff a big thank you for all the hard work you do and I'm sure mum will continue to be happy. The location is amazing surrounded by countryside and lovely gardens. What more could you ask for? A very happy daughter.
