My husband was only there for a few weeks but I thought the care he received during that short time was excellent. The nursing and care staff did all they could for him during his last weeks of life. The staff were all very compassionate to my family during this difficult time. The Manager runs an
excellent establishment. I have been negative about some of the questions I am forced to answer in this survey as they did not apply to the experience of the nursing home during a very brief stay.

Would like more variety of vegetables with dinner, and more choice of supper, not just sandwiches and soup. Would like to have the odd day trip out, and more organisations visiting the home as entertainment for residents i.e. local churches, schools, theatre clubs etc. Also, daily newspapers delivered
and maybe the odd mobile shop coming in.
Maybe a glass of wine or beer when wanted.

Staff at Mary Rose Manor went above and beyond the call of duty to provide care and nursing to support my father in law during his final months of his life. Although it is invidious to pick out one member of staff, the manager ensured he was nursed and supported 24/7, going above and beyond the call
of duty. It is a lovely home with caring and competent staff who I would have no hesitation in recommending.

The care and respectability of my step father has been second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The manager and her management team have obviously vetted and trained her staff well. Care is obviously the priority for the staff and also the politeness to their patients. It is a calming
atmosphere within the home. Organised but patient focused.

The Mary Rose Manor are a fantastic nursing home. The staff there cannot do enough for you or for their residents and the manager is superb. My grandma has only recently become a resident here after suffering a major stroke, and has already settled in and is being extremely well looked after. We struggled
to find her a home due to her calling out a lot since her stroke, but Mary Rose had no problems in taking her, she has settled very very well and we are informed of everything when we arrive daily or when we phone. The home don't have a problem with us visiting or phoning any time of the day or night. Our dogs are even allowed to visit which means a lot to us. I cannot say enough good words about this home, the staff and the management. Thank you!

Dad was fast tracked to the above home where he was a resident for five days until his death on the 2nd April last. We visited every day and were highly impressed with the standard of care afforded to dad. On the day of his death the family were there at the home for ten hours, during which time we
were treated like royalty. We cannot praise the home highly enough.

My father moved into Mary Rose January 2016 and I can honestly say that the staff made his transition as comfortable and easy as possible. His room is really comfortable and has everything he needs with modern technology. Staff are friendly and seem experienced in Dementia care. Food is really good
(compliments to the chef). My only concern is due to the size/layout of the home residents are left on the lounge alone for long periods of time which is a concern as my dad is a fall's risk and has fallen 3 times in a 3/4 week period in the home. I have also been left with up to 3 residents alone on the lounge.

Mary Rose Manor is a wonderful nursing home. My mother was one of the first residents and is receiving care of the highest standard, I cannot speak highly enough of the dedicated and extremely caring staff (all of them, nurses, carers, chef etc...). They treat all their residents including mum with
respect, kindness and genuine empathy. I also have the greatest respect for the manageress who is always willing to listen to the family and help in any way she can. Thank you all at Mary Rose for looking after mum and us, the family, in such a sensitive and sympathetic manner.

Mum has not been a resident for long, but as the first resident to occupy the Mary Rose care home Copnor, she settled in very quickly, and loved the attention given to her. The manager is someone I have a high regard for and trust her completely which is important for peace of mind.
