Mother was a resident here for 18months and received excellent care throughout.
Staff were very kind and considerate. Residents private rooms were spacious and practical.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the care our mother received - no complaint at all.

My son is the resident at Mary Rose Manor. He is epileptic and suffers from seizures both petit mal and grand mal, without warning. He always seems to be very happy here and enjoys all his meals which are fresh and substantial. He does hurt himself because of falls against furniture or floor but is
always looked after very well. Nurses are present.

I am extremely pleased with the care and support my mum receives. She has a lovely size room with her own shower and toilet. The staff are always kind and helpful and the place is always clean.

I am extremely overwhelmed at the level of support and care my husband and myself receive at the Mary Rose Manor each and every day by every member of staff! "Excellent"!

My mother moved here from another care home for the last month of her life. In that time she was looked after with a great deal of compassion and a high level of care. The management and staff always made sure she had everything she needed. The home was clean and tidy and they made sure she ate and
drank as much as she was able. A big thank you to all who helped her.

My father had two months respite care here after an emergency admission to hospital and looked and felt much better after his stay. The staff are very kind and showed us a great deal of concern one night when my father was very ill. The home is modern, kept extremely clean and my father was comfortable
and looked after very well. He enjoyed the food.
The only drawback from his point of view was the lack of activities or entertainment to stimulate him mentally, but he was there at a time when they only had a part-time activity coordinator to cover three floors.

My aunt was admitted to Mary Rose Manor in January 2017. She had been diagnosed with vascular dementia in hospital and could not care for herself independently.
The care that she received was given with care, compassion and professionalism.
The home itself was almost new and was kept in pristine condition.
The catering was excellent and she was well fed whilst there.

My mother was moved to Mary Rose Manor after she was 'fast-tracked' from hospital. She was comfortable and very well looked after in the care home. The staff were attentive to her needs and unfailingly caring for her and her family. She liked the food and the choices she was given. All in all, this

We knew when Dad went into Mary Rose that he did not have long. We had to persuade him to leave his house, but when he saw his room he was delighted and enjoyed the first few weeks when he was well. The end of life care he was given was outstanding. Everyone was so helpful and caring, not only to Dad
but to the members of the family. Thank you to all the staff.

Mary Rose is a purpose built, modern nursing home and my sister became a resident when it first opened in November 2015. She passed away in May 2017. During her time in the home she had a lovely room and facilities. The staff provided great skill and care in looking after her, and became her friends.
There is always a welcoming air about the staff and the environment in the home. There is also a culture of working with the family and next of kin so that the staff can optimise their care for the residents.

The home is always very clean and there are never any unpleasant odours. I would like to see more in the way of organised activity and entertainment. I feel the home is not staffed as well now as it was 18 months ago (both in quality and quantity). More time with patients, more help with feeding.

The level of care shown towards my grandfather was absolutely first class. As a family, we were comforted with the high level of facilities provided. Nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely well looked after. Couldn't recommend Mary Rose Manor enough. Thank you to all.

I cannot recommend this nursing home highly enough. My uncle was at the home for eight months up to his death; during that time his care was exemplary.The home is well run, has a strong management team led by the lovely Manager, who as well as being very professional has a genuine warmness towards her
service users their families and her team. As well as a lovely environment, the staff there are well trained and showed genuine care and commitment to the people they are caring for; this was especially evident in the last weeks of my Uncle's life where everyone working at the home showed him so much kindness. My husband recently remarked that he felt we had become a family, with everyone at the home; that was how the staff made us feel. The home recently had an unannounced CQC visit, the findings were very positive. I believe that reading this report will help you make the right decision when looking for a good nursing home (emphasis on the word home!)

My mother spent the last 5months of her life at Mary Rose. The kindness and care of the staff were exemplary. I am grateful that mum was able to end her life in comfort with caring people.

My dad was admitted for what turned out to be the last 2 months of his life. The care and warmth he received could not have been better. The staff from the manager to every single person we were in contact with were excellent to dad and our family. We were all treated kindly and courteously. The end

Throughout my Mum's stay, the staff were very caring and attentive. Mum had severe dementia with behavioural issues and the staff were very patient with her. The rooms and general facilities in the home are top class. During my mum's last days the staff were all excellent to both my Mum and myself.
