This has got to be the best care home ever. You looked after my Dad like he was your own. He was always clean, tidy, and well-fed and looked after. Big hugs to all of you carers, cleaners, kitchen staff and activity staff. All wonderful. Lots of love.

My sister has been a resident at Mary Rose Manor for 3 and a half years. She has, as I see it, always been treated fairly considering her behavioral problems. The home itself is excellent with staff carefully chosen and who are generally perfect for the job they are carrying out. Not only are they caring and kind to the resident but also to all visitors, namely me. The atmosphere is good and my sister has been very happy there. She has been well looked after and my gratitude is with all the staff.

My father and I have always been treated with the greatest of respect. Before his passing, every member of staff went above the call of duty.

Held my hand and saw me through his last day's fantastic support.

My mother was well cared for but became unresponsive. The staff immediately followed all procedures to care for Mum and notified me. The attention, care and dignity they offered my mum and my family; was absolutely flawless.

My mother-in-law was taken in by Marie Rose Manor. They were very new and it was lovely, especially compared to other homes I had visited. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated and she was very happy there. The staff were friendly and helpful. Sadly, my mother-in-law passed away in December. I would highly recommend Mary Rose Manor.

Dad was only in care at the Mary Rose Manor for three weeks. Once he was admitted his frame of mind changed he was content and of good well-being knowing he was nearing end of life. His words of praise for all the staff were excellent. He was very content. I and the rest of his family were more than pleased and happy with the care he was given. Also how kind and considerate to all of his visitors.

Mum was placed in the home due to her dementia. She is, as a result of her illness, often very confused and staff at the home were excellent throughout her stay and showed her exceptional care and support. We were pleased to know that she was well cared for throughout.

My son is the resident at Mary Rose Manor. He is epileptic and suffers from seizures both petit mal and grand mal, without warning. He always seems to be very happy here and enjoys all his meals which are fresh and substantial. He does hurt himself because of falls against furniture or floor but is always looked after very well. Nurses are present.

I am extremely overwhelmed at the level of support and care my husband and myself receive at the Mary Rose Manor each and every day by every member of staff! "Excellent"!

I could not wish for better for my husband. I have got so much peace of mind knowing my husband is so well taken care of and nothing is ever too much trouble for each staff member.

My mother moved here from another care home for the last month of her life. In that time she was looked after with a great deal of compassion and a high level of care. The management and staff always made sure she had everything she needed. The home was clean and tidy and they made sure she ate and drank as much as she was able. A big thank you to all who helped her.

My father had two months respite care here after an emergency admission to hospital and looked and felt much better after his stay. The staff are very kind and showed us a great deal of concern one night when my father was very ill. The home is modern, kept extremely clean and my father was comfortable and looked after very well. He enjoyed the food.

The only drawback from his point of view was the lack of activities or entertainment to stimulate him mentally, but he was there at a time when they only had a part-time activity coordinator to cover three floors.

My aunt was admitted to Mary Rose Manor in January 2017. She had been diagnosed with vascular dementia in hospital and could not care for herself independently.
The care that she received was given with care, compassion and professionalism.

The home itself was almost new and was kept in pristine condition. The catering was excellent and she was well fed whilst there.

My mother was moved to Mary Rose Manor after she was 'fast-tracked' from hospital. She was comfortable and very well looked after in the care home. The staff were attentive to her needs and unfailingly caring for her and her family. She liked the food and the choices she was given. All in all, this was end of life care as it should be.

We knew when Dad went into Mary Rose that he did not have long. We had to persuade him to leave his house, but when he saw his room he was delighted and enjoyed the first few weeks when he was well. The end of life care he was given was outstanding. Everyone was so helpful and caring, not only to Dad but to the members of the family. Thank you to all the staff.

Mary Rose is a purpose built, modern nursing home and my sister became a resident when it first opened in November 2015. She passed away in May 2017. During her time in the home she had a lovely room and facilities. The staff provided great skill and care in looking after her, and became her friends. There is always a welcoming air about the staff and the environment in the home. There is also a culture of working with the family and next of kin so that the staff can optimise their care for the residents.
