From day one, the care offered by Mary Rose Manor and the exceptional staff was wonderful. Having transferred my husband from an unsatisfactory placement. I was very worried about how and if he would settle but it was amazing. Mary Rose offers an environment that is happy, loving, caring and like a
family. Relatives are welcomed and included. I wish I had moved him there earlier!

The staff are friendly and caring. The manager obviously cares very much about the welfare of the residents. She has always been receptive to queries and is helpful and very professional.

Mum entered the care home after a substantial stay in hospital. She'd spent a year already in another care home and we had seen quite a deterioration with her. She had become quite isolated as she wouldn't get up and wouldn't join in most of the activities. We put it down to the Alzheimer's/dementia
so weren't expecting the amazing change in her in such a short time. Within 24 hours she had been showered (hospitals don't do hair washing), smartly dressed, and was sitting in the day room looking out into the lovely garden. She has been in the day room every time we have visited, a feat in itself. A couple of times I have been close to tears watching her take part in activities she hasn't done for years. She can be negative about taking part but the staff are quietly and kindly persistent.
The thing I like best though is how proactive the staff are. They are always looking to see who needs attention, which staff suits which patients. They and the management are amazing.

My wife spent just over seven months at Mary Rose Manor after a hip operation. Already suffering with advanced Alzheimer's requiring 1 to 1 supervision the staff made her very welcome from the beginning, so that on 'good' days they were friends rather than carers and nurses. Travelling to make visits
presented a problem but I am so glad that I did not persevere with the idea of finding a nursing home closer to home because Mary Rose Manor is so good in so many ways reflected in the stars given, managed by an excellent manager at the top. So, many thanks to all concerned with the care and attention given to my wife up to the end.

Such an amazing care home! Visitors made to feel very welcome and included. Residents treated with the utmost care, compassion and dignity. Everything is focussed on the resident being made to feel completely at home with only their best interests at heart.
An amazing team of carers and management
with a focus on working as a team for the total benefit of each and every resident treated as an individual. Cannot stress enough how absolutely fantastic this care home is. Thank you.

Mary Rose Manor is an excellent home. Care and support is amazing, second to none! Everyone is treated with such dignity. Every member of staff is friendly and caring. All the rooms are clean, tidy and modern. All meals are so delicious and very high standard. On the King's coronation, every effort
was made to make this a special celebration. the buffet was for all residents, family and friends. Everywhere was decorated beautifully. Tea and coffee were always offered when we visited. End-of-life care. Refreshments were supplied. All help and support was given to help us through this sad and difficult time. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Mary Rose Manor for their amazing care and support. Such a wonderful home.

This care home has provided my wife with the best care and attention I could possibly imagine during her residency there.
Each day they exceeded my expectations. It is friendly and welcoming each and every day and nothing is too much trouble for them. All the staff are very kind and caring professional
individuals and work together as a complete team to provide the most fantastic atmosphere.
All the support staff do a splendid job and take time to talk to the residents.
This situation is generated by the professional management that is in place.
I can not speak highly enough of this home or the staff and would recommend it to anyone looking for a placement.
It is definitely head and shoulders above anywhere in my opinion.
Thank you so very much for caring for my wife and giving me fond memories of our stay with you.

On discharge from the hospital, my wife went to Mary Rose Manor for assessment. From the outset, the staff could not have been more caring or efficient. They sorted the hospital's inefficiencies and made a great effort to make her comfortable and welcome. All the staff - carers, nurses, laundry, cooking,
maintenance and managers have been outstanding. Managers were readily available and the support staff in the office have helped with wifi and other admin stuff. Parking on-site is good to allow easy visiting.

What a fantastic nursing home Mary Rose Manor is. It is so well managed. All the staff are really professional, every member of staff go out of their way to be kind and caring to all the residents. It is a very happy place. My lovely lady spent her last eight months in the home, she was so well-loved
and cared for by all the staff. On the night she passed away, the nurses and carers were so very kind. Dignity, care and well-being of the residents are Mary Rose Manor.

I am a resident at Mary Rose Manor. I think that Mary Rose is the best care home you could wish for. I have been here 5 years and I really really love it, they have changed my life around the manager and her care team have got me on the right medication and I don't have a peg anymore. They've allowed
me to decorate my own room. I'm a massive Portsmouth Football Clun fan. I can't thank them enough. I'd like to thank the owner and the manager for allowing me to decorate my room. You have really changed my life and I can't thank you enough!

Mum at 98 had a nasty fall breaking a bone in her knee, sadly following this her general health deteriorated and she was unable to return home. We were very grateful for all the help and support we received from the manager when contacting Mary Rose Manor. Mum became a resident at Mary Rose Manor for
just a short time and eventually, they provided end of life care for her. We could not have asked for a more comfortable, supportive environment for her to end her days. The whole team were exceptional in the level of empathy, care and support they gave Mum and us as a family in this difficult time. From day one she was made to feel welcome and cared for. The accommodation and facilities were immaculate and she was able to personalise her room. Most of all though she was treated with dignity, respect and love. We are eternally grateful to everyone for making a sad situation more bearable for us and allowing us to stay with Mum in her last few days, providing a family room for us to rest in when needed.

My mother was looked after at Mary Rose for nearly 4 years. The staff and on site management were very good. They would discuss my mother's condition as it deteriorated due to dementia. Despite her condition becoming difficult, generally the staff showed care, dignity and respect to my mother. The condition
of the home is good and clean. Relatives are encouraged to be part of life in the home during events like Christmas and Easter etc. Even to, and at the end of my mother's life, everyone showed care and compassion.

My mum was well looked after and always appeared well and happy when I visited. I only moved her so she was closer to me and the area she'd lived in. Staff were always lovely and seemed to enjoy their jobs.

Once again difficult to visit a resident. My lateral flow test not believed, took a further test at the home. Negative instantly, made to wait 15 mins. Anyone who does these tests now that a positive result comes up immediately. Rude staff, patronising mentally. I am not a patient!

My father was admitted to the Mary Rose Manor during the summer, following discharge from hospital. He was received with care, all his needs were met with devotion from the nursing team. His room was clean and comfortable. His wife was encouraged to visit and have meals with him. As a nurse myself,
I am very critical, I would not have wanted my father to be cared for anywhere else. He died in peace and with dignity - thank you all.
