Mum moved from another care home in a very frail and poorly condition. Everyone at Cedrus House, carers, housekeeping, maintenance and management showed great compassion and understanding for our concerns and took a genuine interest in mum, with the excellent care she is now receiving the two sores she arrived with have healed and she has regained some weight. As a family we are very pleased with the progress mum has made so far and hope it will continue so she is well enough to enjoy Cedrus House to a greater degree.

I’ve worked for Care UK for nearly a decade now. Before joining the organisation, I was a laboratory technician and a registered childminder. When I was looking for a new challenge, I heard great things about Care UK and how its people were supported to develop. That’s certainly been my experience. I started as a carer and have worked my way up.
I previously worked as Home Manager at Hartismere Place, where I saw the home grow and flourish. I’m now excited to have joined Cedrus and to bring that experience with me, building on strong foundations and continuing to enhance what we do and what we offer to residents.
I love walking around the home and having lovely interactions with the residents. They make my day, as do the great colleagues I work alongside. There’s always a lot of laughter at Cedrus House, which creates a great atmosphere.
Outside of work, I’m a keen biker; my husband and I ride all over East Anglia. I also enjoy gardening, spending time with my family, and socialising with friends.
