Tremona Care Home

Having reviewed many care homes in the area, we felt that Tremona offered the care and facilities we were looking for. Despite some initial ups and downs with my mother's health, we have felt supported at every turn. The staff are thoughtful, caring and respectful from the manager down. The entertainment programme is brilliant and covers a wide variety of activities. It was a difficult decision to move my mother out of the home but we feel we could not have made a better choice. Even when things go slightly wrong the feedback is received positively and change/adaptation is swift.

The staff treated him with both affection and respect. They went above and beyond to ensure that his stay was happy and stimulating.

My mother has been in Tremona on a permanent basis for approximately 18 months and care, fluidness and general welcoming of the home is excellent. Unfortunately, she passed away a couple of weeks ago and thankfully it was agreed for her last days she could return to Tremona from hospital. When we thought the care was excellent before, it stepped up even higher. The girls treated her so well with compassion and dignity and we, the family, felt part of the 'Tremona family'. Thank you does not seem enough.

My mother was resident at Tremona for 2 and a half years until her death last October. She had severe dementia. The care she received from all the staff was exemplary. In my opinion, she could not have been better cared for anywhere else, even at home by her family and carers, had that been possible. Most importantly, she was loved - highlighted by how she was cared for in her last days. Her family cannot thank Tremona enough for all they did for her.

Unfortunately, my mother recently passed away at Tremona. The staff could not have been more supportive. They always treated mum with dignity and respect. All members of staff treat you like "one of the family". I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Tremona to anybody. The manager is very approachable and compassionate. The seniors are efficient and caring. The care assistants and their staff are a credit to B&M.

The home did not have a care home smell but was clean and fresh. Her room was amazing. The entertainment staff were always on hand and mum enjoyed the days out. I always left the home reassured my mum was in good hands and well looked after.

I feel we are very fortunate to have found Tremona as it gave us great peace of mind.

Mum was very well cared for by all members of staff. During her 2 years at Tremona, activities were always well organised and mum was encouraged to join in. Nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone and they always had a smile for mum. All members of staff are a credit to Tremona. Care and dignity were shown at all times but especially during her final days. Sadly passed away 24/02/18.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Tremona Care who cared for my mother with kindness, respect and professionalism during her time with them. In addition, she was provided with stimulation by their members of the staff who organised entertainments. My mother felt safe and secure in her environment at Tremona Care and told me on numerous occasions how nice and kind the staff were.

The carers are excellent, compassionate and kind. A very well run care home, spotlessly clean with an extremely well-packed itinerary of activities every day. Food very good as well. Mum did not participate in the activities but the staff never stopped trying to encourage her to join in. All in all, I was very happy to leave her there knowing that she was well looked after.

Mum spent her last 17 months at Tremona. Unfortunately, she passed away aged 95.

She enjoyed those 17 months the care at Tremona was excellent - could not be faulted in any area.

Our family is very grateful to Tremona - the carers and the management. Thank you.

My mother was in residence at Tremona Care Home from December 2015 through until February 2018 and in this short time she was always looked after and treated in a wonderful way. There were always activities and singing and group trips organised for all the residents. Mum was taken ill just after Christmas 2017 and her health quickly deteriorated. She was looked after with so much love and care that it made our worst time so much easier to cope with. All staff were a credit Tremona Care Home.

I am retired and for some years now have been making social calls to Termona whenever a social event has been arranged: it is one of the highlights of my monthly calendar.The staff are incredibly dedicated and arrange many interesting functions for the residents to enjoy and to watch. I am happy to become involved.

Although, of course, my experience of other residential care homes is limited, I very much doubt, although some may be comparable, that there are any which would surpass this one in terms of overall quality and commitment that is enjoyed by the residents: if and when the time came, I would be happy to end my days in this establishment.

I should add that, although I have got to know many of the staff over the years, I have no relationship with any of them outside my frequent visits.

My mother has been in Tremona Care Home for over a year and is doing well. She is happy and well looked after. The home has been good for her it stimulates her mind and she enjoys her days there. The staff are all friendly and I have never seen anyone being unkind. I find it a home from home.

Sadly my mother passed away in the past few weeks but the care given leading up to that sad time was excellent. The carers and management treated her with so much care and dignity. Also supported me and my family during her final days.

The entertainment they put on is excellent, from mothers day tea to St Patrick's Day party, and everything else. Cannot thank the staff enough.

My Dad moved to Tremona just under a year ago following major surgery. He initially found it strange to be out of his flat and in a care home, but quickly adapted and enjoyed the excellent quality food!

Sadly he passed away early June. He was aware of the situation and wished to see his final days out at Tremona. What really worked so well was the outstanding staff. From the manager to the carers, cleaners, entertainment and handyman - they all have a "can do" attitude. During his final days, the team stepped up his care and kept me fully updated on any developments.

I visited regularly and was always made welcome. When the sad day came, their dealing of the situation was professional, caring and compassionate. I am so pleased that Dad asked to remain at the home for his final days - he developed a real bond with the team. We could not have asked for better care from Tremona, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to the whole team for their excellent care whilst Dad stayed there.

I have nothing but praise for Tremona and all they do for me.

I strive to visit my grandmother every Monday. The staff are always warm, welcoming and remember names of visitors. My sister and I often get involved in the activities that always bring lots of laughs! It is always clean, tidy and well organised. I always enjoy my visit which is good as I travel far to come here.
