Rose Lodge Care Home in the market town of Market Deeping provides residential and dementia care in an exceptionally warm, friendly and comfortable setting.

Opened in 2015, the luxury care home has been meticulously furnished to a high standard. Residents enjoy a ground-floor lounge and dining room with a courtyard seating area, hairdressing salon and library. There is also a first-floor dining room and lounge.

Rose Lodge has its own front-of-house team on hand to deliver a fine dining experience daily.

Residents enjoy a wide range of activities tailored to their individual preferences and needs. The home has built strong links with the local community in Market Deeping and events at the home are well supported by the local community. Residents regularly go out into the town and attend services at St Guthlac's Church on a Sunday should they wish to. The home has a weekly programme of activities which included gentle exercise sessions, games, quizzes and visits from entertainers and local community groups.

My mother (now 95) has been at Rose Lodge since last June and my father (98) joined her in February. We have always been very happy with the facilities and care provided, with the staff being very caring and willing to help with specific needs. Inevitably in a care home, there can't be individual attention
on tap, but my parents get a lot of personal attention and stimulation from the staff and the various activities provided. Rooms and facilities are clean and bright and food is plentiful and good, but this is only part of the story. The most important thing is the very positive ethos and attitude of the manager and all staff.

My mother-in-law's dementia got to the point where she had to have specialist care and that is exactly what she gets at Rose Lodge. Every member of staff knows her no matter what their role and we are always greeted warmly and asked how we are.


She is in the top floor where there are less residents

and I feel she is really safe and happy there.

93-year-old mother-in-law has now been a resident for nearly two years. She had a bad accident prior to being placed in this home and had been in hospital for two months. She had lost so much weight, she was very frail and was frightened of walking using a frame just in case she fell again and hurt
herself.


As time went on she has gone from strength to strength. Over the two years, she has put on weight and now feels so confident that she goes back and forth to her room using her frame but without assistance.


She loves the place, the staff really look after her and in her own words “she hasn’t got a care in the world”. Her health has improved so much that she is looking younger and always has a smile on her face. It is a pleasure to visit her as the home is very welcoming and everyone knows each other.

My husband has been a resident since last September permanently. He had been in for respite previously. I did, in fact, move him to another home at the end of a few weeks as the place I went to was supposedly the very best place for those with dementia and also it was in the next road to where I live.
However I soon asked if he could return to Rose Lodge - he and I both felt we had come home. The activities ladies are excellent in their hard work, their variety of activity, the way they never stop and nothing is ever too much for them.
I feel I am listened to if I do have a worry and the manager is always with an open door which is really comforting to know. They keep me informed. The part where my husband is only has a small number of 12 and it is like a little family - we all support each other so that visiting is enjoyed - not miserable. We listen to each other as the relatives and that is good - if one has a bad day the others are there for them. I am so pleased to have found it.

The Rose Lodge care home is just like one big family. All the staff are all very very good and excellent. All have a caring nature and very good with the people they care for. We are always kept informed. The food is very good and the portions also very good. The staff at the home from the Manager down
should all be given a great pat on the back from the service they provide.

Very caring home. Always make you feel welcome. Let you know what is happening. If you don't visit they will ring you to inform if the doctor has called, or Dad is unwell. They do so many things with them. Also, take them out when possible. My Dad says it is like a 3-star hotel. Wasn't very happy at
first but has settled in very well now.

Mum was cared for in Rose Lodge for 14 months. The staff were extremely good to her, using hoists or other equipment to move her from chair to wheelchair etc, explaining what they were about to do and encouraging her all the time. They dressed and undressed her daily and had beautifully amusing conversations
whilst doing it. Mum particularly liked certain members of staff!


The food was presented beautifully and liquidized as necessary. Nothing was ever too much trouble to cook an omelette/make a sandwich as an extra. The atmosphere was usually very happy and everyone seemed content. The nursing staff were very observative as to mums daily condition and called in the doctors when necessary. A very safe place to be for mum and for the family.

Friendly staff, great care and plenty of activities during the day.
My Dad has stayed for respite care 3 times now and enjoys his visits. The staff always remember him and treat him with respect and dignity.

My husband has dementia and he was at Rose Lodge for respite care. He was welcomed by a happy, cheerful staff, and settled in despite worrying about me as I was in hospital for an operation. He soon joined in the many activities and enjoyed the visits out for coffee, and particularly the local pub.
He needed some help with showering and shaving but was first given the opportunity to do it for himself.
He turned out to be the life and soul of the home, very sociable, and the staff encouraged that side of his personality. My daughters who were visiting him were so impressed by the care the staff gave all residents, diverting situations before they became problems, giving a little pat on the arm in passing, always looking for the needs of the residents.
The activities were varied and stimulating, with a weekly program, and the 3 full-time staff were enthusiastic and encouraging.
My husband may well spend days there on occasions, and has no qualms about doing so.

My friends are a couple in their 90's. She is totally reliant on help for everything, he still has an active mind but limited mobility.
I went to the Open Day at the Rose Lodge Care Home and it was my first visit. My first impression was how helpful the staff were and just as important they all
looked happy. My friend said that although nothing could replace home as it used to be he understood that he was no longer able to look after his wife and he was very happy to be in this particular care home.
He was given as much independence as he could handle and was enjoying life. It is the first care home I have visited that did not smell of urine which pleased me very much. Head office regularly send a representative to visit informally and keep an eye on things. The overall impression was of a calm efficiency.

The home was very welcoming with all staff knowing my mother's name from the outset and seeming genuinely pleased to see her.
A friendly, inclusive atmosphere was actively promoted but the staff and all residents appeared to enjoy each others company. When leaving, it took a while to locate our wheelchair
but the staff member was very helpful and ultimately successful!
The music on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon was a little loud, making conversation difficult but none of the residents seemed to complain.

I have been visiting Rose Lodge for a while, the home is lovely and the staff including management are fabulous, staff are always on hand to meet your needs. Management is always available if needed and matters are dealt with very professionally. I would recommend Rose Lodge to anyone.

My mother is 95, is disabled and needs a great deal of support. Due to my own ill health, I needed to find a local home very quickly for respite. I am delighted with the care, kindness and genuine warmth my mother received at Rose Lodge. She made friends and was encouraged to participate in residents
activities. Everyone of the staff, from the visiting manager downwards, not only looked after my mother with professionalism and compassion but also helped me by liaising fully. Returning home, she is more confident in going out and communicating. I cannot thank Rose Lodge for all they have done for her.

My husband has dementia, he has been at Rose Lodge since 12th March and already is much less depressed. He had had a urinary infection since mid-January. Peterborough Hospital on 16th March, Van Geest hospital Stanford 22nd January. My husband had become very confused and unhappy with all this moving
about, but has had real TLC from each hospital at each hospital/care home. He has improved amazingly during this last week, enjoys his food, is often sociable and mostly rational and happy. My family and I are very grateful
