Overall Experience

My mum went to Hartford Court for 2 weeks respite care after having a foot operation. She is 75 years old and suffers with Parkinson's so felt worried about going home. The building was amazing and had a warm feeling from the outset. Above all that was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff! They immediately made my mum feel at home and welcomed myself and 2 daughters into mums temporary "home". I have no complaints they treated my mum with respect and she especially enjoyed "teaching" the chef how to make scones!! Mum is ready for home and not quite ready for full time care but it has been perfect for her needs. Thanks.

Early days as the home has only been open once a month and my aunt only the third person in but excellent care given 24/7. Beautiful surroundings. Lovely rooms and decor, excellent staff, manager making good efforts to link in with community. Local school gave a music concert this morning. Residents all stimulated one to one attention, at the moment my aunt has been taken out twice already. Excellent home cooked food- residents can choose an alternative to planned dish. Fresh fruit and cakes served everyday and family and friends made very welcome. First class!!

My in-laws became residents early June 2016. From the beginning they were very pleased with all the staff and were amazed at the building and it's furnishing.

Overall Experience

My mother had been active and independent until she fell ill in December. On discharge from hospital she went into a residential home which did not provide the correct environment for my mother. My mother moved into Hartford Court on 1st June to be nearer me. The ambiance and standard of care was a breath of fresh air compared to the previous home. My mother was quite ill when she arrived at the home. The staff at Hartford ensured she received medical attention from the local GP and gave her wonderful care. Mom's demeanour has steadily improved. She is rediscovering herself because of the level of thoughtful care received. The place is spotless, has lovely gardens and rooms and the food is very good. Because it is a new home the programme of activities has not been established as yet.

Lovely fresh food served on a daily basis. Good choices displayed on menu. Clean linen tablecloths. Family welcome to join for lunch or dinner - Sunday lunch excellent. Have seen great improvements in mums overall well-being thanks to the great care. Home from home at last.
