Overall Experience
My late mother spent the final days of her life at Manor Grange Care Home. She had been very reluctant to move into a care home, and I was incredibly apprehensive about leaning her there. I needn't have worried.
From the moment she arrived, the staff treated her with such kindness, dignity, and compassion, as though she were one of their own family. They made sure she was comfortable, and every one of her needs was met, Although she sadly only lived a short time, she didn't suffer, thanks to the wonderful care she received.
The staff also looked after me during an incredibly difficult time, offering kindness and reassurance when I needed it most. I will always be grateful to everyone at Manor Grange for making my mother's final days as peaceful as possible.

Grateful thanks.

Manor Grange care home and all staff handled my grandmothers care with dignity, kindness & compassion. I've never felt more at ease knowing my granny was in such safe hands.

The home itself is beautiful and clean. With an open and welcoming space. There are lots of activities for residents and it's clear all staff care so much about what they do. I can't recommend this care home highly enough.

The care home is one of the best. Staff take and show great care to residents, activities are a mixed variety to suit different interests, with inclusion for residents with social events and themed celebrations. Staff seem genuinely keen to ensure residents are well cared for. The nursing team are exceptional.

My mums health deteriorated in 2025 and we knew she needed more help. After looking at numerous care homes Manor Grange was the best fit. The staff are excellent and generally care for the residents. Facilities are excellent. I cannot fault it. The main issue is mum is happy.

My dad was under the fine care of the staff at Manor Grange for 4 years until, sadly, he passed away in July this year.
During this time, I was constantly in awe of the true care, dedication and love my dad, and the other residents, received from the staff.
When it came to my dads final days, they were there around the clock, not just for him, but for me too.
It is with deep gratitude I write this to the staff there, who made the end as peaceful, dignified and easy as posssible.
I will never forget the beautful send off they gave him.
Thank you to everyone.

We're so grateful to the team at Manor Grange Care Home for the exceptional care they've given our mum. After her recent fall, they've gone above and beyond to support her recovery. It's been a huge relief for both my sister and myself to know she's in such safe hands.

What really impressed us was how responsive and proactive they've been. I raised a few concerns about Mum's health recently and they didn't hesitate. They listened, took action, and even contacted her GP to arrange bloods etc.

It's clear they treat every resident with dignity and kindness, and that gives families like ours real peace of mind.

We honestly couldn't ask for better.

Home is looking after Dad well. Facilities and room good quality. Staff do a good job looking after Dad. Some go extra mile and play table tennis and buy him an ice cream that he loves. He is content in home despite fact he would prefer to be at home.

Our mum has been at manor Grange for 7 months. The home has been excellent in ensuring both her medical and well being needs are met. There is a wide range of activities for her to choose to take part in. We were surprised to see this includes weekends and holidays such as Christmas Day! The home has a lovely community for both the residents and their families/Friends. I would have no hesitation in recommending to friends for the in love ones.

My partner entered Manor Grange Edinburgh on 22.8.24 and passed away on 22.1.25.
In that time she was comfortable and well cared for. The care she received from all the staff was excellent and everything I could have hoped for.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care staff and the nurses. My partner passed quicker than I expected when she went into the home but the staff made sure that her last months were comfortable and content.

Excellent. My mum has been a resident for over 2.5 years and we have experienced consistent great care over that period. All the staff (whether direct care staff or ancillary/administrative) are friendly, welcoming, caring and professional. It is always lively and the whole environment makes you feel that the home is more like a family who together provide the best service they can. Thoroughly recommend Manor Grange Care Home.

This morning I was visiting a resident with you and I have to compliment all the staff that I came into contact with. Unfair to single anyone out, as everyone deserves praise, but one staff member in particular was lovely, welcoming and so helpful. Also, another staff member was kind, caring, friendly and as I said to him, his smile was infectious.

Both are a credit and must be such an asset to your team. The environment was professional, clean and very happy.

My mum has been a resident in Manor Grange for a few months now. She has settled well due to the home being very welcoming with lovely, friendly staff and an excellent manager who has made sure my mum is safe and comfortable.
There is always a calm and pleasant atmosphere and I'm pleased that Mum engages with some of the activities and enjoys the company of new faces.
The staff are considerate and allow mum her daily routine which gives her confidence and helps her feel her best.

It is a bright, cosy, modern facility which is so well maintained and we are always kept well-informed by the staff. I feel very fortunate to know Mum is in a lovely environment and highly recommend Manor Grange.

My dad moved to Manor Grange in 2022. We were very nervous about the move but staff immediately made us feel at home and answered my long list of questions thoroughly.
There is so much to do daily at Manor Grange, my dad doesn't have time to get bored. He's out waking, out for trips in the care home's car, attending men's group or at one of the other activities run by staff.
Rooms are well equipped with furniture, chairs etc and feel very homely. The garden is amazing and means we can enjoy the outdoors without venturing too far away.
Staff are kind and it feels like they really care about the residents and their well-being. They feel like an extended family after 2 years.
The care home has a fine dining room which as a family we use regularly to host birthday parties and family gatherings. It takes away all the stress as we know carers are nearby if we need them.

My dad has made friends and is safe and well looked after at Manor Grange. I highly recommend this care home.

The resident, my friend, a 97-year-old lady, diagnosed with dementia entered Manor Grange in January 2023. This decision was taken after much thought and with some trepidation. However, after almost 2 years of residency, she has never regretted her decision. She is now very settled, comfortable, and well looked after by a very caring staff in a lovely setting. The home itself is well maintained and there is a wide range of activities organised for residents every day. All her friends comment on how much happier she is compared to her time living at home without proper care and attention. We all agree, as does the Resident, that the decision to move into Manor Grange should have been made at least two years earlier. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

I am her appointed Power of Attorney.

My mother, a resident, had to attend a long-awaited dental appointment which I was unable to take her. Her mobility and anxiety are a challenge. A carer from Manor Grange went with her and reassured her, supporting all her needs. I followed up with the dental practice after and they made a point of letting me know how compassionate and supportive the young man was, talking to her and reassuring her all the time.

Thank you!
