Mum has been a resident at Kiwi House since July 2017 and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives. The rooms and facilities are 1st class. The staff are very friendly, caring and approachable. Mum's care plan is regularly updated, and any new information is immediately passed on to the staff. Mum says the food is lovely, coming from a 'fussy' eater that is an excellent recommendation. Thank you, Kiwi House for our peace of mind knowing mum is in safe hands.

During the twelve months that my mother was at Kiwi House, we found the staff to be helpful and courteous to my mother and her family.
All staff showed a genuine interest in my mother's well being.

During the last chapter of her life, the staff were caring and supportive of all the family and remained compassionate and genuinely affected by her passing.

My mother has Alzheimer's disease and has been a resident at Kiwi House since it opened. Quite simply there is nowhere better in the immediate surrounding area. I have visited many Care Homes and have experience of several when my aunt was in residential care. I was horrified at some!
The facilities are outstanding - my mother thinks she is staying in a hotel! What more could you wish for your loved one?
The en suite rooms are first class, as are the individual lounge/kitchen areas, which encourage maintaining a level of independence with friendly supervision. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well as having a good activities programme and their own mini bus for trips out. Kiwi House also has a Bar, Hair Salon, Cinema Room and Corner Shop. Meals are all home cooked and offer a varied menu with a choice.

Kiwi House offers a safe and secure environment with lovely gardens and views to the rear over parkland.

Mum started daycare about 6 weeks ago and visits twice a week. Mum loves Kiwi House Care Home and has made many new friends. The standard of this home is incredible - mum loves getting her hair done. The food is 5-star and all the staff are so caring and happy - there is a great manager with an excellent team. Mum has also stayed for one week respite and she was looked after so well. We felt comforted knowing she was in safe hands. Great work Kiwi House Care Home :)

My mother came to Kiwi House as she has dementia and we could no longer give her the 24-hour care she now needed. She settled in very quickly, she loves the food, the staff, the entertainment and loves the fact that there is someone to help her with her everyday needs. We would recommend Kiwi House to friends and family without hesitation.

We looked at several homes before finding Kiwi House Care Home. Whilst it takes more than nice premises to make a good home it has to be said the facilities are outstanding. The home is on three floors depending on the need and we were on the first floor where most residents have a range of dementia type issues. There are separate living spaces with an open plan seating, eating and preparation areas. Bedrooms are spacious with en-suite wet room.

More important is the care received. From the initial entry period (difficult for all involved) to the settling in through to dealing with illness and ultimately end of life care, it would be difficult to imagine how better care could have been provided. The same could be said with the fantastic standards of all round cleanliness. Care staff were genuinely caring interested in the person and always respectful to them. The management of the home were closely aware of daily care issues, supportive to us as a family and seem to be working hard to ensure the right calibre of staff are recruited and retained. Kiwi House is the care home you would put yourself in.

My father has dementia but prefers to live in his own home. He attends Kiwi House Care Home for 2 days per week for day care. He also had a short respite visit at New Year. He looks forward to his visits and is keen to get ready to go. The staff at Kiwi House are most professional and caring. They greet dad warmly on his arrival and escort him to the dementia floor. Here he joins in the activities and socialises with other residents, thus providing the care and company that dad was desperately in need of. I can relax on the days when dad is at Kiwi House because I know he is safe and enjoying himself. They respect each resident's individual needs and quirks! I would have no qualms about recommending the home to anyone.

The staff treated my nana with the utmost respect. They were involved in all of her activities and make her feel welcome whenever she comes into Kiwi House Care Home for day care. Kiwi House Care Home gives her the stimulation she needs. My nana loves going and always has a smile on her face when there.

Having had my mother previously at another nursing home for nearly five years and now my father at Kiwi House, moving him from the other home last summer, I cannot recommend the Kiwi House highly enough. I would not consider anywhere else having visited many other homes visiting friends and families of other people. All care is of the highest standards and given me so much relief to know how well my father is cared for.

Mum is looked after to the best of everyone's ability despite the fact she is very high maintenance. The staff have been very diligent in adapting care plans and practical issues to meet Mum's increasing needs in order to maintain her safety. The staff show their genuine love for Mum when caring for her which is very reassuring for us. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. As relatives, we are made to feel welcome and cared for and the staff are always friendly and happy to chat to us between caring for the other residents. We are offered refreshments during our visits and appreciate being able to visit at anytime of the day with no time restrictions and being allowed to stay for tasty meals when we can, even our dogs are welcomed, which mum finds very therapeutic.

Our overall impression is very good, although on some occasions the staffing levels seem a little sparse. However, the ethos is generally calm and welcoming and we are very pleased with our choice of care home for our Mum.

Kiwi has been a lifesaver. Mum is extremely well looked after by staff who really care about their residents and work hard with calmness and patience to create a relaxed atmosphere.
We are welcome at any time, as are the family dogs. Kiwi is spacious, bright, clean, uncluttered and well maintained with a lovely garden.
Kiwi goes out of its way to meet mum’s needs, adapting its approach where necessary. Proposed changes are discussed with family before implementation. We are kept informed by phone and during visits. Residents get to know their regular team of carers so although mum can no longer communicate effectively, staff understand what she likes and what works best for her. The lounges are spacious with both quieter areas and chattier spaces. Carers can safely see all areas. Our only slight concern is that at some busy times staff levels seem a little low although it meets the required ratio of staff to residents.

We are so grateful to the manager and the team for all they do.

What a surprise I had when I visited Kiwi Care Home, all new top quality building and the rooms were superb. As uncle is in early stages of Dementia we all felt that this home is putting the "Care" back into Carehome!

The staff were very welcoming and it gave the impression that nothing would have been too much trouble for them.

A guided tour of the home finally convinced us that this was the place for Uncle. Yes he liked it, especially the bar idea. He managed to speak to another old gentleman and found out they both liked cricket. I hope they get to see some!

Meals were not served whilst we were there but we have been informed that Uncle is eating rather well and has no complaints.

The support given to residents is second to none, we can rest easy knowing Uncle is in good hands.

Many thanks to the staff at Kiwi, you all deserve a medal for your kindness.
