Kiwi House Care Home is a family-run, award-winning care home providing luxury quality care in Alvaston, Derby.

A friendly, well-trained team ensures high standards of residential and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Resident happiness and well-being is at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage residents to lead a fulfilled, happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. With its own minibus, residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

I can't thank Kiwi House care home enough for the big difference they have made since my father started attending day care. The positive difference the amazing staff have made has led his care being increased from 1 day to 4 days per week. The care given is excellent, very caring and professional. I
feel as if he is being dropped off at a five-star hotel. The environment is happy and lively. He is stimulated with the vast amount of activities. As family, we are welcome to all events and feel at home. Lots of luxury. Great respite for my mother, very compassionate care.

The staff are very friendly and efficient. The building resembles a lovely hotel rather than a care home and is always kept very clean and tidy. There is a very good selection of nice food and glass of wine is often offered with an evening meal. The staff make visitors very welcome, sometimes offering

Kiwi House is a superb care home. Grandma often thinks she is on holiday when we visit her and I can see why. The building is very well laid out with a great garden overlooking a park. The staff are always relaxed and make sure the residents are very well taken care of. There are lots of organised events
and activities to keep the residents entertained. The onsite cinema and pub are a bonus. I hope this place is still going strong when I get older. Highly recommended.

Mum has been a resident at Kiwi House since July 2017 and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives. The rooms and facilities are 1st class. The staff are very friendly, caring and approachable. Mum's care plan is regularly updated, and any new information is immediately passed on to the staff.
Mum says the food is lovely, coming from a 'fussy' eater that is an excellent recommendation. Thank you, Kiwi House for our peace of mind knowing mum is in safe hands.

During the twelve months that my mother was at Kiwi House, we found the staff to be helpful and courteous to my mother and her family.
All staff showed a genuine interest in my mother's well being.
During the last chapter of her life, the staff were caring and supportive of all the family and remained
