Overall Experience
My mother receives really good care at Sairam Villa. She has been there for over three months now, and all the staff members have been friendly and professional in supporting our mum to settle in.
The activities coordinator is really great at organising suitable activities and events, ensuring all residents are able to take part.
The nurses are also friendly and, to date, have always been in contact with us for any concerns and changes in Mum.
My father was also a resident at Sairam Villa prior to his passing in 2020. The level of care was good then and has since improved.

The management and staff have done a fantastic job through the Covid pandemic restrictions. They have always been available to discuss any concerns.

My father has been at Sairam Villa for a month now and he is settling in well. It is a big change for an elderly person, he enjoys the vegetarian food that the chef cooks and he gets a lot of help from the lovely carers, who show kindness and respect. The nurses are very helpful in looking after his medical needs and call you straightaway if there are concerns. The activities coordinator is always finding ways of keeping residents stimulated and the management is very helpful in helping my father to settle in well and listening to any concerns I may have.

My mum gets fantastic service at Sairam villa. My family and I visit Mum on daily basis and cannot find any criticism. Mum absolutely loves the activities.
I am really happy and would like to praise the staff member for facilitating the booking for visits.
Would also praise two members of staff for giving personal attention to Mum.

And obviously, all the young carers too. Sadly I dont know their names, but all of them are always smiling.

My mother is very happy at Sairam and tells us on our weekly visit, not to worry about anything. The staff are kind and caring. The quality of care is excellent. The nursing staff are very polite and professional. The nurse will call us if they have any concerns and regularly updates us on any medical issues.
The management team is headed by an excellent manager, who is always available. My email and telephone calls are promptly responded to.
During the lockdown, we were given the options of telephone calls or video calls with my mother.
I have always found the place very clean and spotless on our weekly visits.
The food is to my mother’s liking. She likes attending morning religious activities.

I would highly recommend Sairam Care home.

A very difficult period due to the pandemic has been managed well, and my mother has been kept safe and cared for very well. They have allowed access to relatives as per Government guidelines and managed to keep circumstances as normal as can be.

Thank you for your review and for your support. We recognise that contact with family and friends is extremely important for our residents, and also for their loved ones. Imposing visiting restrictions has been hard on everyone and difficult for some to understand, but is necessary for our residents' protection. We hope to increase visiting opportunities when it is safe to do so.

The staff have been extremely brave and caring in these uncertain times. The physical distancing has been particularly difficult for me as my parent is the only living relative I have.
A couple of suggestions/observations/recommendations:-
Please respond to emails of concerned relatives.
Since we are not allowed to visit, please habitually check and advise relatives if the resident needs anything like toiletries and clothes in time to get them across before they run short.

Are any relatives willing to set up a support group for each other to tide us through these times?

One word comes to mind since we have dealt with this care home - Excellent. All credit goes to the Care Home Manager who has put in a lot of hard work to turn this home around. I genuinely cannot praise the carers enough - for their patience, hard work, kindness and affection, which is exemplary. The care home is very well run by a strong Manager, spotlessly clean and very welcoming. The grounds are well maintained. I am always made to feel very welcome by the Manager and his staff and any suggestions made by me are taken on board and acted upon in a positive way. It is a great comfort to know that my mum is receiving the best care possible during this later time in her life when is extremely important to feel loved and treasured. The home has been extremely proactive in ensuring the Covid 19 infections are kept to a minimum, especially during these very testing times for all. Well done to you all.

After an extremely troublesome period at a previous care home in Hendon, we decided to move mum to Sairam. Unfortunately, mum only lived for 3 weeks at this home, but she had a very dignified, peaceful and satisfactory last days. From the initial meeting with the manager right till the end, everybody was friendly, kind and professional. We have experience of a few care homes over the last 7-8 years and we can definitely say all the staff especially the nurses and care staff (two of them in particular) are dedicated to their residents. They were looking after her with love and feelings. Even in this Covid-19 era, they support families and their loved ones. I/we thank them for their effort.

My elderly brother is in Sairam Villa Care Home and I could not be happier and more pleased. Quality of care is top class and of very high professional standard. Management and staff are always very pleasant, approachable and caring. Courtesy, kindness and respect are always present when dealing with the residents. The manager is a model of courtesy with a very calming and reassuring influence. Nothing is too much trouble for him.

My mother spent some horrible weeks at this home between November and December and I do not wish something like this on anyone. My mother is mentally fit for her 86 years but physically disabled after a stroke. She liked the place after seeing it twice and decided to move there.

The manager is nice and friendly but most of his staff are rude, inefficient and have little sympathy for those they take care of. They don't know what "politeness" is. My mother was at times scared about requesting or asking for anything for the fear of being snapped at by staff. The food served is not of a stand one would feed ageing people. There are also no activities for the residents apart from placing them in front of a TV. If you care about your parents, please don't send them to this home.
