Since Mum joined Baycroft, we have been more than happy with the level of communication and care she has received, the dedication of all the staff is excellent, especially in coping with the difficulties that the Covid virus has caused. We have not been able to visit Mum in the home at all, but have had outside chats from a distance and regular zoom meetings, not ideal for a resident with Alzheimer’s who cannot understand why we can’t go in, but the staff are helpful in comforting her.

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review and saying such positive things about the home. It has been an absolute pleasure having mum with us and we can't wait to be able to welcome you and the rest of the family into the home once the restrictions are lifted so you can all spend more quality time with your mum.

It was a very difficult choice to put mum in a home but it was definitely the right choice. Mum went into Baycroft in January and not long after we were all hit with COVID 19. Although we have not been able to enter the home for some time now I feel that when I get to see Mum and speak to her by telephone she is always happy, clean and content and always happy to be with any members of staff who are all amazing, so caring and always so approachable. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone needing care for their loved one.

I have just returned home after a period of respite, I have done twice previously. The home is comfortable, nicely finished. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large have television and en suite bathroom (wet room).

The dining room is smart and is like a restaurant in a first-class hotel. The food is good. There is a large lounge with a large television and is comfortably furnished with settees and easy chairs. There is also a bistro.

My mother was a resident at Baycroft for just over 2 yrs, during which time she received first-class care and treatment. Although with the Alzheimer's, she was unsettled for patches, the staff were patient and kind, with an unending sense of humour. Although she died of Covid 19, she was unlucky to become a victim very early on, and to date, they have suffered no further outbreaks there.

Thank you for your review. We loved having mum with us and she is very sadly missed. We will pass on your kind words to the team that cared for mum while she was here and thank them for the patience and kindness they showed.

My dad has been a resident at Baycroft Grays Farm Road for over two years. He is 91 and has been very unwell. The care he has received has been second to none and the staff have all gone the extra mile for him and us daily. I cannot speak more highly for each and everyone from cleaners, nurses, carers and management.

Baycroft is a pristine and well thought out building with high standard fixtures and fittings. That said, people make places. My sister was acred for by magnificent staff whose care and support was first class and genuine. I cannot praise them highly enough.

Excellent care mainly. Mum still has concerns about her night care, whereby mum feels as if she is being a nuisance if she rings.

On another note, mum had a bandaged visit last week and despite asking 3 different people nobody could tell me what actually happened. I understand that a carer caught her with her ring.

My mother came in for respite but was welcomed and treated as a valued resident. The staff from receptionist to nurses to management all came to greet her and immediately made her feel at home.
The staff appear to have permanent smiles and have a pleasant demeanour at all times (are you sure they are not A1!)
My mother has a smile on her face and is extremely happy here at Baycroft.

I would particularly like to thank the general manager for making the choice of Baycroft easy.

As you will appreciate, this was a difficult decision for both my mother and her family, as it meant her leaving the house she has called home for many years. Unfortunately, you still hear stories in the news of poor care in some homes, but thankfully this cannot be said of Baycroft. My mother is always made to feel special and the welcome we receive as a family is always warm and professional. We have witnessed many examples of compassionate care, the recent Christmas Party is just one of those.
