It is wonderful to read that dad was able to enjoy his birthday celebrations and that you and the rest of the family were able to join him. Dear Mary, we are sorry to hear your experience when visiting our home was negative. At times it may appear that our staff are not engaging with residents as they may be recording their care on a mobile device to ensure we can evidence our care delivery. In the lounges, we purposefully arrange it in a way that suits everyone as not all residents would like to watch TV and may like to engage in other activities.
However, we do appreciate all feedback and take it very seriously. We will continue to work with residents, staff and relatives to improve our care on an ongoing basis.
Dear Stephen, thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you were impressed by the décor and cleaning standards at our home. However, we’re sorry you experienced issues getting in touch with staff when you wanted to leave. In order to keep our residents safe from Covid, we created two cohorts of staff, and operated the two suites within the service as separate entities; this included two separate visiting areas within the service. In doing so, we have higher ratios of staffing within the service. Our care team are hospitable, and would always look to be attentive, but in this case, they would have been attending to other residents, so it is likely this was the reason they were delayed coming to get you once you had finished your visit. We are of course sorry that this was your experience, and for any inconvenience, this may have caused you.
I’m sorry to hear that your experience of Baycroft Grays Farm Road was not as you expected. We have done our utmost to care for your husband, but unfortunately, we were not able to meet his care needs. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.
Kind Regards

Hi,
My name is Hope Vincent.
I am the Clinical Deputy Manager. I am an RGN with a lot of experience. I have worked in the Care industry for 19 years and have a lot of experience in different management roles.
I started my career as a carer, after spending my childhood watching my parents working in various care homes and seeing the difference this made to people's lives, care is quite literally in my genes! As soon as I left school, I knew this was what I wanted to do and I worked as a carer for 4 years, before changing roles in my previous care home to Activities coordinator, I continued in this role and then joined the incredible team at Baycroft as a Lifestyle and Wellbeing Co-ordinator, where I was mostly responsible for organising and hosting our weekly activities programme.
I have recently started an exciting new position within Baycroft; as a customer relations manager and have been enjoying exploring my new role and furthering my skills.
Raised in Caserta Italy, Michele del Monaco grew up surrounded by the finest ingredients and traditions of Southern Italy. He’s had an amazing career, including working in Sardinia, taking the position of Executive Chef in one of the Rio de Janeiro’s finest Italian restaurants and joining the world-renowned kitchens at the two Michelin starred Hotel Il Pellicano in Tuscany.
Over his global career, Michele has evolved his cooking to incorporate the modern fine dining style whilst maintaining the authentic Italian concept inspired by his homeland, which is what he is now bringing to Baycroft in Orpington.
Our personal favourites are his calamari, beef wellington and apple crumble!!
Hi, My name is Lauren and I am the new Home Administrator for Baycroft, Grays Farm Road. I have been in the care industry since 2013 when I started as a carer in an extra scheme and from there, I progressed into more senior roles over the 6 years I worked there. I then worked for a private domiciliary service in Bromley until the end of 2020. I have always enjoyed working in care and gaining various experiences from the roles have been in over the years, It's very rewarding knowing that you are making a difference in a person's life. After a break from work to raise children, I am now here at Baycroft and I am looking forward to working with the team and meeting the residents and family members.

Not forgetting the very nice staff and my team whom I enjoy working with.
Hi, I recently joined Baycroft as a Receptionist. My background is in Beauty and Aesthetics, most recently as an Aesthetic Consultant at Harley Street. As a therapist and consultant, I have always enjoyed working with the older generation and building a relationship with them to the point a lot of them became friends. I have a caring nature and decided to get into the care industry using my customer service and reception skills. I know I will get a lot of job satisfaction from knowing I am part of helping someone’s care and attending to their friends and relatives, giving them 5-star service.
I am the maintenance man for Baycroft, I have been made very welcome and supported by the staff in the home.
I’ve been in care for over 17 years in different roles predominantly in Dementia homes, eventually moving into training. Qualified in all aspects of training within the healthcare sector. I moved out of care homes and into a highly successful training company teaching across all sectors of care including the NHS. I am a qualified Dementia trainer for the world-renowned Virtual Dementia Tour and a Newly designed Dementia Interpreter I can utilise my skills gained to help make the residents' lives as fulfilling as possible.
I joined Baycroft in 2019 as a healthcare assistant but I started caring in 2017 for my great nan when she became unwell. I have now started a new role as Activities Coordinator at Baycroft Grays Farm Road, I am enjoying creating a diverse, stimulating activities programme for residents to enjoy.
I enjoy taking part in the daily activities with residents and it is so rewarding to see them benefiting from having social interaction with others and a sense of empowerment from taking part.

My name is Louise, I have worked in the care industry for 10 years, before I was a carer I worked for the Royal Mail for 12 years and the metropolitan police service for 15 years.
What I most like about being a carer is, caring and supporting my residents to the best of my ability and the staff I work with, the reason I like working here at Baycroft is the friendly atmosphere and the support of my colleagues.
My name is Lisa Young
I have been working as a Health care assistant for 9 years now. I first started off with Domiciliary care where I had to drive to my resident's houses. I then decided to move on and applied for Maples care home in Bexleyheath. I enjoyed my Job role and loved making my resident's life's enjoyable and helping them live an independent life, and enjoyed making them laugh and smile.
There was an opportunity to better me and I decided to study and work towards my NVQ 2 in health and social care it was pretty intense but thoroughly enjoyed it and was really interesting. This Qualification took me over a year and was pleased to say I passed my NVQ 2 which I was very happy with. I then decided my life wasn't complete yet and decided I was going to move on and work towards my NVQ3 so I found myself studying again and after a lot of hard work and effort I passed my NVQ3 in health and social care. I then moved on and joined Baycroft and I soon settled in with the routine and loved caring for my residents and getting to know all of their interests and preferences in the way they would like me to care for them. I am still working at Baycroft and am enjoying my Job role as a care assistant.
My name is Joyce Hayes, I started my hairdressing career when I was 15 years old... Which means I have been doing people's hair for a very long time, and I hope to continue doing it for many more years to come! I have worked in many salons throughout the years, however, I find working in a care home so much more rewarding.
I have been coming to do the resident's hair at Baycroft for three years now. I love coming here because the staff are so caring and welcoming not only to all of the visitors but the residents too. I enjoy doing the resident's hair because seeing them happy and the impact having their hair and nails done has on them, makes everything worthwhile. It makes such a difference for them, it’s the whole experience of coming to the Salon, having a natter and a laugh with everyone, not to mention plenty of tea, cakes and of course a sing-along!
