I have been delighted with the level of care that my mother has received at Baycroft, Orpington and her quality of life is much improved with the daily activities available which she very much enjoys.
Dear Kim, thank you so much. We are delighted with mum's progress since she came to live with us and in particular over the past couple of months since she has become more engaged with the activities programme.
My aunt has been a resident at Baycroft since February 2018. With the help of the lovely staff, she has settled well and is very happy. We have been very impressed with the care she has received and the beautiful surroundings that Baycroft provides.
We were very happy to see how quickly your aunt has settled with us and to see her doing so well and really coming out of herself.
Baycroft is brand new and beautifully furnished with wonderful amenities. Dad's room is spacious with an en-suite shower room, TV, phone, comfortable adjustable bed and is always spotlessly clean.
He is near to a lounge with access to a delightful garden, recently stocked full of plants, which will be perfect for sitting in during the summer. A choice of nutritious meals is served in the dining room, cooked and presented to the highest standard.
The staff are superb. Dad has become part of the family and so have I. Qualified nurses are always on hand, the doctor visits regularly and the carers are cheerful, skilful and dedicated. Everyone is treated with kindness, compassion and dignity. Dad happily joins in the many activities that are on offer and families are invited to join in the fun too.
We were delighted to be able to help this family, they were keen to get dad out of hospital and settled into his new home before Christmas. Dad is flourishing here at Baycroft and we love to see the family visit and join in with our activities and special events.
My neighbour and good friends mother is now in Baycroft Grays Farm Road. We have known and loved her for many years and it was a pleasure to visit her in Baycroft for Christmas carols and snacks. So pleased she is in such a fantastic place. Not only 5 star accommodation but everything else as well. She even recognised the local mayor who paid a visit. I firmly believe being in such a great home will extend her life as she is so well looked after.
The staff are kind, friendly and caring. The menu is good but more traditional English flair needed given the age of residents. The home is like a first-class hotel and all are treated with dignity. I feel my mum is safe and contented when I leave her. Facilities are excellent, clean and tidy and the home furnishings and rooms are all exceptional all with Sky TV on the walls. Activities need working on which will happen as staff join the company, hopefully.
We have been extremely impressed by the care and dedication of all the staff. They go out of their way to ensure that my mother is treated with dignity, and they are so friendly and supportive to all of the family members. It does not feel like a care home more like an extended family home.
The food is satisfying and the chef will always accommodate and cook individual meals if the menu is not liked.
It's like a five-star hotel in all areas.
Staff are friendly and approachable.

Meet the Team (9)

I started my career as a carer, after spending my childhood watching my parents working in various care homes and seeing the difference this made to people's lives, care is quite literally in my genes! As soon as I left school, I knew this was what I wanted to do and I worked as a carer for 4 years, before changing roles in my previous care home to Activities coordinator, I continued in this role and then joined the incredible team at Baycroft as a Lifestyle and Wellbeing Co-ordinator, where I was mostly responsible for organising and hosting our weekly activities programme.
I have recently started an exciting new position within Baycroft as a customer relations manager and have been enjoying exploring my new role and furthering my skills.

Raised in Caserta, Italy, Michele del Monaco grew up surrounded by the finest ingredients and traditions of Southern Italy. He’s had an amazing career, including working in Sardinia, taking the position of Executive Chef in one of Rio de Janeiro’s finest Italian restaurants and joining the world-renowned kitchens at the two Michelin-starred Hotel Il Pellicano in Tuscany.
Over his global career, Michele has evolved his cooking to incorporate the modern fine dining style whilst maintaining the authentic Italian concept inspired by his homeland, which is what he is now bringing to Baycroft in Orpington.
Our personal favourites are his calamari, beef wellington and apple crumble!!

Hi, My name is Lauren and I am the new Home Administrator for Baycroft, Grays Farm Road. I have been in the care industry since 2013 when I started as a carer in an extra scheme and from there, I progressed into more senior roles over the 6 years I worked there. I then worked for a private domiciliary service in Bromley until the end of 2020. I have always enjoyed working in care and gaining various experiences from the roles have been in over the years, It's very rewarding knowing that you are making a difference in a person's life. After a break from work to raise children, I am now here at Baycroft and I am looking forward to working with the team and meeting the residents and family members.

I love my job as a receptionist at Baycroft Orpington because I get to see so many visitors with who I really enjoy chatting.
I have lots of conversations with the lovely residents, jokes and laughs they are such lovely people it is nice to meet their family members too.
Not forgetting the very nice staff and my team whom I enjoy working with.

Hi, I recently joined Baycroft as a Receptionist. My background is in Beauty and Aesthetics, most recently as an Aesthetic Consultant at Harley Street. As a therapist and consultant, I have always enjoyed working with the older generation and building a relationship with them to the point a lot of them became friends. I have a caring nature and decided to get into the care industry using my customer service and reception skills. I know I will get a lot of job satisfaction from knowing I am part of helping someone’s care and attending to their friends and relatives, giving them 5-star service.

I am the maintenance man for Baycroft, I have been made very welcome and supported by the staff in the home.
I’ve been in care for over 17 years in different roles predominantly in Dementia homes, eventually moving into training. Qualified in all aspects of training within the healthcare sector. I moved out of care homes and into a highly successful training company teaching across all sectors of care including the NHS. I am a qualified Dementia trainer for the world-renowned Virtual Dementia Tour and a Newly designed Dementia Interpreter I can utilise my skills gained to help make the residents' lives as fulfilling as possible.

I joined Baycroft in 2019 as a healthcare assistant but I started caring in 2017 for my great nan when she became unwell. I have now started a new role as Activities Coordinator at Baycroft Grays Farm Road, I am enjoying creating a diverse, stimulating activities programme for residents to enjoy.
I enjoy taking part in the daily activities with residents and it is so rewarding to see them benefiting from having social interaction with others and a sense of empowerment from taking part.
