Greenwood Court Great Baddow

My mother-in-law has been at Baycroft since February this year. It has been a difficult year for her as both her husband and sister died within a few months of each other. She is wheelchair bound and so totally dependent on the carers to do most things for her. I live in Canada and so cannot be much help to her and so we really have come to depend on the support of the staff who have been so kind and helpful. It took my mother-in-law some time to settle in knowing that her home of 50 years has been sold on top of everything else wasn't easy but she does appreciate the support and company she now has. I also appreciate the regular emails that I get from the staff nurse letting me know how things are. Thank you.

Everyone is so friendly, kind and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. An amazing visit.

The place has lots of potential but I don't feel they are there yet.

The staff are all very caring, patient, thoughtful and treat my father with dignity. Baycroft is similar to a luxury hotel and furnished accordingly. The only thing I would say is that the seating in the lounge area is not easy for elderly people to get up from, however, there is always someone there to lend a hand and assist. I am really pleased I chose Baycroft.

Physically this home attracts the observer because so much thought and care has been given to the building and decoration. It is indeed a luxury building. However, it is the staff who create the ambience which greets you as you enter.

I cannot find the appropriate words to express my gratitude for the respect, consideration and general attentiveness which is given to all patients at all times and without exception. A very happy staff who are never off duty. I don't ask for assistance, the staff ask me what they can do to help. Without reservation, I recommend Baycroft Great Baddow.

I am happy and contented in Baycroft. I enjoy the meals.

Care workers are wonderful, surroundings are very pleasant, food excellent with a pleasant atmosphere house-like, residents and staff are like friends and everything is clean.

Drove my mother to see her friend. We were met at the cafe and offered food and drink. Staff made us feel very welcome. The jellyfish and seahorses were amazing. The home felt very welcoming and friendly, with everyone looking very happy and content. A very clean home. Decor to a very high standard with huge rooms.

The staff feel that the residents should feel that it is their home and treat it as such. Well done!

I have been to other care homes, seeing friends, but find this one to be of a very high standard and at the same time having a 'homely' feel about it.

Very friendly staff always willing to help all kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble.

Medical care/medicine management needs to improve, but good foundations so as staff become more familiar and family/residents, I can see it will be of excellent quality.

I recently brought my mother-in-law to visit her childhood friend who is a resident at Baycroft, Great Baddow.

The reception was accessible, clean, light and airy with a friendly atmosphere. My mother-in-law was invited to sit with her friend in the café area where they enjoyed catching up for over two hours. We heard that she has soon settled and that the Baycroft staff have been looking after her very well; she now has a direct dial phone number which will help the two of them stay in touch more regularly.

The Customer Relations Manager, very kindly offered to collect my mother-in-law from her house, as she lives locally and take her back home for occasional visits in the future when she is even able to stay for lunch too, this was very much appreciated by all of us. Thank you.

Care was excellent, it was more like a five-star hotel. I would recommend to anyone.

The home facilities and care are first class. Staff are very caring. Food and dining facilities are a high standard. I am very happy and comfortable here. I think it is lovely.

They always invite all family members to events such as quiz nights, meals and jazz nights. The staff are always keen to help in any way they can.
