The staff are caring and supportive of the residents and their families.
First floor residents are treated with dignity and respect. A lady always ensures the residents have fun music and opportunity to converse with her about past experiences and memories.
Another lady is kind and excellent and always willing to listen to concerns of the family and there is a gentleman that provides great quality overnight care.
Ground Floor, our mother is well cared for with opportunity to maintain good mobility and to take part in the activities. The activity staff are excellent and provide interest and stimulation.
There is a male carer who is always willing to listen to family concerns. He is kind and caring as are the majority of the care staff.

Having our mother and father in Royal Oak Care Home help us to feel reassured about their wellbeing. Thank you.

My mother has only been in the home for a week. She was not keen to leave her home but it was inevitable. She is now much nearer to her family. The warmth of her welcome was great. Staff have very speedily got to know her likes and dislikes. They are attentive to all on her floor and their manner towards residents that I have witnessed is exemplary.

My main concern was whether my mother would settle, having gone to Royal Oak from her own house, living independently. These worries soon disappeared, as she has settled in really well and has made new friends.

She joins in activities and enjoys them all. Overall I am very pleased with Royal Oak.

We were very lucky to get emergency respite here for the next day for my father-in-law, he had been at another care home but they couldn’t extend his stay for a few more weeks. The place is amazing compared to most other care homes, once you walk in it reminded me of a hotel and the staff are lovely and friendly which helps. In the previous home they had struggled to get my father-in-law washed but when we came to visit after a couple of days he’d been in the jacuzzi bath and looked amazing, he took to this place amazingly and I think in time he will come here permanently as the care here is more than what we can do for him at home.

This is the third respite my father-in-law has been in and by far the best, staff and management couldn't do enough for him, if he didn't like the menu their chef was only too happy to help with something else, he has already been on the phone to family and friends recommending Royal Oak Care Home. His daughter and I have passed on their phone number to our friends and work colleagues. He loves his room and private wet room, definitely value for money.

I can't thank Royal Court staff enough for the care and kindness they have shown my parents. They are all very professional and supportive. All resident care is centred on them as individuals and their immediate and long-term needs and are treated with dignity and respect. As well as fantastic staff, the accommodation is excellent, lovely modern building and rooms are all comfortable and bright.

I am the Head Chef at Oak Springs and have been working with the team since 2017. I am the home's nutrition and hydration champion! I make sure our resident's menus offer a varied diet, following the correct portion sizes and food groups. I meet with every new resident to find out their likes and dislikes, so I can then incorporate them into the food menu.

In my spare time, I enjoy baking and going on long walks. I always enjoy coming to work, interacting with the residents, and hearing their stories.
