Oak Springs Care Home

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Oak Springs from reception to the management and especially the staff on maple. I find the extremely helpful and caring towards my mother. It's a great comfort to me and my family to know that she is looked after and cared for.

Oak Springs Care Home is a brilliantly run home the staff go above and beyond to look after my auntie I couldn't thank them enough. The rooms are presented lovely and clean. My auntie settled straight away and is happy at Oak Springs Care Home she enjoys the activities that take place of a day time and loves chatting to the staff. I am happy she is getting looked after so wonderfully.

Thank you to the management, nurses, doctors, cleaners and receptionist for all the information and updates on Mum’s affairs and the daily care Mum receives.

Never had a bad experience with the home, staff, or management. My friend always seems happy whenever I see or speak to them. Staff are always happy to help and seem professional at all times. Good energy from the moment you walk in!

Staff extremely respectful to mother and her visitors. My mother feels looked after and as happy as she could be.

My father joined Oak Springs Care Home in July 2021, obviously a difficult time for everyone due to the Covid pandemic/restrictions. Initially, we found the care inconsistent for the first few months. I would telephone to ask that my father be washed/shaved/dressed every day, a reasonable family request. He was often in bed, probably too much as he has a catheter and requires movement to support/aid the bladder. Eventually, we have seen an improvement in his personal care. I still do have to request that he is in his chair, presentable for his visits. We are seeing a marked improvement now. Thank you.

My mum has only been in this care home a short while. So far I am very impressed with the care home and its facilities. The rooms are beautifully designed with ensuite bathrooms and very clean. The management went over and above in helping me to secure a place for my mum and I can't thank them enough.

We would like to thank some of the individual carers who looked after Mum, but the management ethos needs to fundamentally change before Oak Springs will feel like a home.

Mum has lived in Oak Springs since November 2020. I was most concerned at first that she might not have liked it. I need not have worried. She loves it! She constantly praises the wonderful staff and says they could not be kinder or more attentive. I have met many of them and they are absolutely dedicated to every aspect of Mum's care and especially to making her life thoroughly enjoyable and full of fun! The amazing activities that are organised; singing, dancing, exercises, bingo, poetry and many more really stimulate the residents and give them so much pleasure. The staff are a delight to know and talk to and are always so reassuring about mum. I truly believe now that Oak Springs is the ideal place for mum to live.

I can't thank Oak Springs enough, they have gone above and beyond during the pandemic. The manager has ensured that we are always informed of the latest guidance; Oak Springs ensured that we had a Christmas Day in the visiting pod, we cannot thank you all enough. We had a hot chocolate and mince pie with Mum in the pod, we watched her open her gifts, we sang Christmas songs together, and we were presented with a Christmas photograph of Mum that was just a wonderful idea. Thank you to the manager and staff for always going the extra mile. Thank you for allowing cherished moments during this terrible pandemic, and most of all, thank you for your amazing ideas, and always putting our families at the front of what you do.

My wife has been a resident of Oak Springs since January 2020. The care, cleanliness, food and the overall feel is amazing. From caring and understanding reception throughout the caring staff dealing with the day to day concerns of residents is truly outstanding.

Mum came to Oak Springs on April 4th 2018. From the outset we were welcomed as a family. As I sit beside my lovely mummy on her death bed I am comforted that for two whole years, she has had the very best of dementia care. She has 'lived' with her dementia! And thank everyone on behalf of our family, from the manager to the carers, cooks, night staff I never met, laundry ladies, cleaners, reception, hairdresser; what an amazing team. We love you and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My mum has lived at Oak Springs for 2 years and I can honestly say she has been so happy and well cared for. Sadly mum passed away due to illness. The care and compassion was a credit to them. The managers even brought her back from hospital to spend her final days with staff that she knew and loved.

I visit a family member at Oak Springs and I am very pleased with the home. The staff interact with residents well and they can't do enough for us. The management are always very helpful and supportive.

Staff busy getting through assigned jobs. Too busy to spend with residents - only able because of time to instruct on the task they have requested eg, 'hold this, lift your foot' etc. Rarely observed talking with residents.

Our dad was only in the care home for a short while, but this did not alter the excellent care he received from the staff. The management, in particular, have gone out of their way to help and support our family at a very difficult time. They continue to do this even though he is no longer there.

At first, this home was fantastic, the girls on the first floor go above and beyond for the residents. The problem with this home is the management team. I cannot tell you what as a family we really think of them as its not that sort of forum but suffice to say if I knew that my mum would have been treated the way she was by the management team I would never have agreed to allow her to stay here. I really wish I could say more but I can't but sometimes silence speaks volumes.

Went to Liverpool to see my cousin who has been in there for about a year, and turned up unexpectedly. She was cheerful, nicely dressed, relaxed, comfortable and full of praise for the staff and the facilities she had. Although she cannot walk, she had been helped into a chair (I was very impressed with this), and she was chatting to the staff and other clients. She was grateful that her close relatives had taken the trouble to seek out this care home over some time and was delighted with her bedroom and routine.

I know that over the year there had been a few concerns about her health, and there had been referrals to hospital, but these had obviously been dealt with by the care staff of the home and certainly she was happy and well. It was also obvious that all the staff knew her personally and she was treated with dignity, respect and friendliness. I was very impressed.

His medical needs are attended to professionally and he is accompanied to any specialist appointments etc by a member of staff. I am informed regularly of any information relating to my brother, where it be good news or otherwise.

The pre and post admission procedure was very well handled by both the manager and her assistant who did an assessment on my mother whilst she was in hospital.
