My mum has been going to Wisteria house plymstock for day care.
It's a fabulous place. The staff are wonderful. Very caring, welcoming, supportive both to mum and myself and always professional.
There are always thoughtful , stimulating and interesting activities arranged. Recently they had a virtual reality session in which mum chose to spend time in the forest. I have not seen mum so happy for such a long time.
Also an old school newsagents was set up in one area which was great fun and brought back lots of memories. An ice cream themed day for national ice-cream day , even had ice cream van in the garden!
The garden is beautiful and allows for plenty of time to be spent outside in the fresh air, as well as gardening sessions for service users who may be missing the chance to garden at home anymore.
The home has a lovely atmosphere, it's very homely and spotlessly clean. Everyone is treated with a h

I can't speak highly enough of Wisteria House Plymstock and everyone who works.

Staff very friendly and caring to residents and family. Nothing is ever too much trouble and if there are any problems (which there are few) it is sorted out immediately. Food and cleanliness is top class and family + friends are welcome at any time without prior appointment. Activities every day to keep residents entertained and stimulated. Highly recommend

All staff work incredibly hard to create a wonderful family atmosphere, they always have time for the residents. Nothing appears too much trouble and the staff sit with the residents and chat to them as though they were one of their own family. Always a pleasant place to visit. Plenty of activities for residents to take part in if they wish.

My mother has been at this home now for over 9 years and in that time she has always, always been looked after to a high standard. The staff are so caring and respectful and keep my brother and myself informed of her needs.

We were so lucky to have found this home ( through a friend's recommendation) to have our mother looked after. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work and dedication to make the residents feel so cared and looked after.

We have been incredibly impressed with the care Mum receives at this residential home. The staff are truly amazing and take the time to get to know each resident as an individual, understanding their needs, preferences, and routines.
They have also been exceptionally supportive to us as a family throughout Mum's time there, always keeping us informed and making us feel welcome.
The range of activities and experiences they offer is outstanding and has made such a positive difference to Mum's quality of life.

Knowing that Mum is happy, safe, and so well cared for gives us enormous peace of mind. Honestly, this is the only place I would want my mum to be. We are extremely grateful to everyone at the home and would highly recommend them to other families.

This is simply the BEST Dementia Care Home in Plymouth!
My Aunty who has lived there for in excess of 6 years has thrived since she has been in this home. She has a beautiful room which is always spotless (no smells in this home) they keep everybody looking beautiful, always well groomed which is important, every Thursday they have their hair washed and styled by a professional hairdresser who is also a member of the team - thank you Holly.
The food is all home cooked and the kitchen like the rest of the home is spotless. The entertainment is something to be envied by all who see the videos, they create such fun and laughter
As for the staff led by Kirsty they are one big family who over the years my aunty truly loves and accepts as her family, even I as a visitor enjoying my time there
No appointments are needed to visit your loved ones, the door is always open, the kettle is always on

Just fabulous 10/10 for everything - Keep doing what your doing 'Team Wisteria'

My wife has been a resident at Wisteria House Dementia care home for exactly 12 months during which I have visited her almost daily. The level of care love and attention given to each resident has astonished me and this is reflected in the general atmosphere of happiness among staff and the residents. I have no reservations in recommending Wisteria House to anyone whose loved one can no longer be cared for at home.

I cannot praise Wisteria House enough. The staff here have looked after my sister Lorraine like she is one of the family. They've treated Lorraine with kindness, warmth, respect and dignity, sometimes through difficult situations.

Lorraine has settled in Wisteria; it's nice to go in and see her with a smile on her face. Thank you all for the help and care you give her.

Mum had been with Wisteria for over 5 years and as her illness progressed so did the level of care and love. When she joined them we were advised they would care for her to end of life and that was exactly what happened. She wasn't moved from her home to a hospital with lots of others she was kept peaceful and comfortable with everyone she knew and loved around her. The thoughtful touches staff provided in her room bright lights smell and sounds were amazing. We could never thank them enough for all they did and included us every step of the way. The staff are dedicated and caring and for them it's not a job but a vocation. If your family enter here you can relax and enjoy your time with them. Thank you everyone

We have been blown away by the level of love and care my Mum has received since moving to Wisteria House. It is such a difficult decision to take, moving a loved one into a care environment, but the whole team have done everything possible to settle mum and help us in this transition. Mum is loved and cared for so well, the staff go out of their way to understand the residents and their needs - and to provide activities that they know they'll enjoy. Mum loves to help out and when she wants to, she's there giving out cups of tea and biscuits, helping with tasks that make her feel valued and useful. I would absolutely 100% recommend Wisteria to anyone who is looking for a dementia setting.

My grandmother stayed at Wisteria for a few months while her husband was in hospital. I can honestly say they are nothing short of exceptional! The staff were absolutely incredible - I truly struggle to find the words to thank them properly. My Grannie felt like part of a family and during her time there, despite the dementia, I felt like I got my grannie back. Previously she was withdrawn and spent most of her time in bed, but thanks to the warm, social environment and the truly outstanding care she received, she began engaging again and genuinely seemed to enjoy life. They also supported our whole family, keeping in regular contact and going above and beyond to meet our needs. When her medication was in disarray, they had it sorted with the GP within 24 hours. On discharge, they provided a clear breakdown of her meds and ensured a smooth transition. Even now, she talks about returning-despite poor memory in other areas, her time at Wisteria made a lasting impact. I can't thank the staff enough!

Our dear mum has Alzheimer's. Having supported her living on her own for as long as possible, made possible by my wonderful sister and brother in law, and remarkable nephew, last summer we all agreed it was time for mum to move to a home. That was tough. But the stars aligned when Wisteria House and their remarkable team came into mum and our lives. The care, support and love they give mum and their support of us as a family over what has been at times a challenging period, has been remarkable. They feel like an extended part of our family. Every single member of the team are so friendly, professional and caring. I feel humbled every time I visit. I cannot say a big enough thank you to the team and cannot recommend Wisteria House more highly.
