I have no complaints or worries about Willow Park Lodge at all. It is very new and has a bright open feel to it. The bedrooms are a good size with excellent ensuite facilities. Every member of staff I have met has been cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable from the manager down.

This is the benchmark for all care homes.

Willow Park Lodge is a beautiful, modern, purpose built care home with facilities that cater for both of my parents, which was previously proving difficult to find as their personal needs are so different. My Father moved in first back in July and was followed several weeks later by my Mother and both of them are happy to be able to still be together. It has a friendly, caring atmosphere and the staff are always happy, which makes it a lovely home for all of the residents to live in and relatives to visit. As we are all getting to know one another, its beginning to feel like 'one big happy family'.

This home is amazing. The attention to detail is exceptional. High standard of cleanliness and thoughtful caring staff. One member of staff told me "it is a privilege to work here". I certainly would recommend it.

I initially went in for respite for 2 weeks. I returned permanently as I was very lonely in my flat. My past experience of care home respite 6 years ago were bad. However, at Willow Park, I am treated with care and respect and am far from lonely.

I have done 4 or 5 visits so far and I very sincerely like the place, the staff and the various rooms. I feel so very welcome and there is a friendly attitude by staff, the chef and others. When asked by friends and neighbours about what it is like etc, I have only two words, 'very nice'.

A wonderful caring home, with truly amazing staff. Nothing has been too much trouble for them helping my mother on a daily basis. I know my mum can be quite picky! And requires lots of TLC which they give her every day. I feel very lucky to have my mum here and it's huge peace of mind knowing she is in such great hands.

As a registered mental health nurse, providing quality care that ensures both optimum physical and mental well-being is my passion.
My background is primarily working in acute general hospitals before moving into nursing home management a number of years ago.
I believe it's an absolute privilege to work in someone's home, and my aim every day is that the home is filled with kindness, laughter and exceptional care.
Since arriving at Dover House, I have been blown away by how kind and caring all the staff are, and they have made me feel so welcome.

Tony TingeyJob Title:Resident ManagerJoined: 2019
As the Resident Manager at Dover House, I bring over six years of dedicated experience to a role that blends compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to quality care. My main responsibility, although not the only part of my role, is conducting thorough assessments to ensure that every prospective resident finds not just a place to live, but a true home. I take pride in helping individuals and families navigate what can be a challenging time, always striving to match their needs with the supportive environment we offer.

Whilst I really enjoy many aspects of my role, what I love most is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference—whether it's guiding a resident through their transition or offering reassurance to a concerned family member. At Dover House, we believe in person-centred care, and I work closely with our team to ensure every resident feels safe, respected, and valued. My approach is rooted in empathy, transparency, and a genuine desire to help people thrive.

I have been part of the Dover House family for about three years, working as the Deputy Manager. My daily role involves assisting the registered manager with the smooth running of the home, supporting and guiding our wonderful team, conducting monthly audits, maintaining compliance and regulatory standards and supporting our residents and their families with their day-to-day needs.

I’m naturally caring, lively, and passionate about my work because I love being able to put smiles on people’s faces; sometimes it’s just the little things that make the biggest difference, making the day brighter and easier. What I love most about working here is the free-spirited family vibe and our wonderful team who always go above and beyond, creating a home that is warm, welcoming and supportive for all.

My name is Aretha Dolphy. I am the finance administrator at Dover House. I transferred to Dover house in 2023 from another home within the group. My main role is to deal with the day-to-day finances of the home, such as invoices, bills, statements, payroll, etc. I have worked in care for 10 years with clients with learning disabilities, which has made me a very compassionate and attentive person. I really enjoy my interaction with and relationship I have with the residents, although my job is more back office, I love the time I get to speak to the residents and make them smile. I look forward to each day coming to Dover House, as I have experienced a lot of love here.

Lindah Kawadza

My name is Lindah, and I am the Head Cook. For me, preparing meals here isn’t just about nutrition, it’s about comfort, dignity, and care. Food can bring back memories, lift spirits, and provide a sense of routine and joy, especially for elderly residents.

I enjoy getting to know the residents personally, learning their preferences, and adapting meals to suit their individual needs. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how something as simple as a favourite dish can brighten someone's day. I also value the team environment—we all work together with one goal: to provide the best care possible.
