My father-in-law has been a resident here since February. It was a difficult decision to move him to a home as he was still very mobile but his dementia was deteriorating. After visiting Hadleigh Nursing Home for the first time, it was evident immediately how warm & friendly Hadleigh was & how well staff were interacting with residents. My father-in-law is very happy here. There is always a varied programme of activities happening & the staff go out of their way to ensure those residents who may not be very mobile are included wherever possible. The grounds are lovely with a secure garden at the rear. The staff do their very best to get residents outside in the garden if it is possible. There are separate lounges on each floor away from the main lounge, conservatory & dining room. All staff take a genuine interest in residents, taking the time to get to know them their hobbies, interests & memories. The food always looks lovely & the menu changes regularly.
I am very happy with the kind, attentive care my mother continues to receive from all the staff since moving to Hadleigh Nursing Home over two years ago. A very nice home with a lovely garden located in peaceful surroundings in the Suffolk countryside. Excellent nursing and care facilities and a very hard working activities team ensure that all the residents are well looked after, whatever their needs.
Mum went to Hadleigh Hall in November 2024 after an admission to hospital and was unable to go back home. From the time of her arriving at the home, Mum has had excellent care from all the staff and management. Tracy (Now manager)has supported me when I have had wobbles re Mums frail condition , and to me it spells volumes that we didn't expect Mum to be there long and she is still enjoying life as much as she can eighteen months on. If we have concerned we can speak to the staff and they do their best to sort it out. I love visiting Mum and both myself and brother always feel welcome when we are there.
A beautiful home in a quiet location for those that need extra support looking after loved ones.
All staff are friendly and attentive and regularly communicate any issues or concerns and play a key role in making Hadleigh Nursing home a home from home.
If TLC in a safe and comfortable environment is required then pay a visit to Hadleigh Nursing Home.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments regarding the home and its staff.
The home was very clean and everyone made my Mother feel comfortable and safe.
The Nursing Staff were very knowledgeable and supportive to both my Mother and myself.
Thank you for your wonderful words. It was the homes privilege to look after your mother and make her comfortable. We very much appreciate your comments.
We are also grateful that the home was able to handle his end-of-life care, fulfilling his wish not to die in hospital. His final week was challenging, due to his failing heath but all his issues and problems were resolved quickly, with professionalism and always good humour.
It was our pleasure that we had the privilege to know your father and the family. We all miss him greatly. It was also our pleasure to ensure that we were able to accommodate your father and his wishes at the end of his life. Thank you so much for your kind words.
This home provides outstanding care for its residents and their relatives. The staff are always willing and radiate love and compassion. The care is exemplary, and the nursing home has an aura of calmness and kindness. I consider myself extremely fortunate in finding such a wonderful home for my elderly mother, who had alzheimers disease. The home is situated in a very tranquil setting.
It was our honour to look after your mother and extended family. Thankyou for you kind word
All staff have been helpful, caring and go above and beyond to make my friend feel happy and secure in her new home. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, especially when moving into the home. Thank you
We are so happy that your friend has settled in so well and decided to stay with us, thank you for your kind words I will share with the team.
We needed a home for my Father who was deteriorating quickly with Alzheimer's, we tried him at another home however he would not settle and struggled with the interaction with the home staff. We then moved him to Hadleigh Nursing Home, where the style of the home and also the grounds made him feel immediately at home. He settled very quickly in the routine and the staff were excellent in accommodating his needs and especially in the early stages adjust him into his new environment. Over time the home has encouraged him to be more involved in the activities at the home. In addition the extra events such as the petting zoo, Christmas fare make is much easier for us to visit with the younger Grand Children.
Thank you for your review, Dad has settled really well and enjoys the activities daily. I will share your review with the team.
I chose Hadleigh Nursing Home for my mother to recuperate after she broke her ankle. From the moment I contacted them, they couldn't have been more helpful. The house itself is attractive and is set in beautiful grounds - grounds that my mother has an excellent view of from her room. The staff couldn't be kinder or more helpful. She was warmly welcomed when she arrived, as are visitors who can drop in at any time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to send us a lovely review. I am so glad that you are happy with the home, the staff and the care that Mum receives. Kind Regards, Home Manager
I had to quickly find a home for my mother when she suffered a fall and fracture and could no longer live independently. I feel like I couldn't have chosen a better home if I had searched for months beforehand. The staff are caring and always happy to help, the food is very good and the well-kept gardens are delightful to stroll around. I appreciate being able to visit at any time, without notice, to this welcoming home from home.
Thank you for such a wonderful review. I am so pleased that you are happy with the care and support of your lovely mum. It's such an honour to care for her and have great contact with you also. Always here to support.
I cannot thank you enough for all the trouble you are taking to make my husband comfortable and to meet his requests regarding food and nursing. I am so grateful. Visitors are always welcomed and he is always clean and tidy. Staff are kind and helpful. It offers a solution to the distressing problems of old age.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Hadleigh Nursing Home. I am so pleased to read your comments on the care your husband receives. Having your loved one in a care facility can be a difficult transition. My best wishes to you all.
The food is tasty and nutritious with choices and alternatives offered.
The gardens are beautiful and communal areas are light and bright, visitors are welcome at any time of day without needing to make a prior arrangement.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. Your father is a true gentleman and we are so pleased to support you all in this time. Always here if you need anything at all. Kind regards Catherine, Home Manager
The home sits on beautiful grounds adding to the sense of peace, tranquillity and security. Hadleigh Hall is a lovely home.
What a wonderful thoughtful review. I'm not sure what else I can add to say thank you so much. I am so proud of everyone in the home, residents, families, staff and visitors. We are one team and work hard to maintain, health, safety, positivity, care and compassion within the home for all. Thanks once again.
Mum is very happy here. The staff are kind and cheerful and Mum feels very at home. She enjoys the menu very much and adores her light and airy bedroom. The whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming which has helped Mum settle into her new surroundings.
Dear Relative. Thank you so much for your very kind review. The time it takes to put your thoughts into a review is so appreciated. Warm RegardsCathrine
The care he received from the first day has been excellent. My husband slowly regained his previous fitness and was able to enjoy the lovely grounds. He seems to be in his element as soon as he gets outside. He also enjoys the quiet lounges where he can see the gardens.
Unfortunately, my husband is mainly nonverbal so I have been amazed at how perceptive, kind and patient all the staff are.
I like to spend as much time as possible with my husband and I have been made very welcome. It is comforting to know that when I am not there, my husband is being well cared for. I'm very grateful to everyone. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for completing this very heartfelt review of our home. We are very pleased that your husband has settled with us and that you are happy with the support given to you and your husband. Kind regards Cathrine, Home Manager.
We thought the effort to invite in family for mothers day and the thought involved was brilliant.
Thank you so much for your time spent reviewing Hadleigh Nursing Home. We do really appreciate your kind comments. We work hard to ensure the people who live in our home are cared for and respected. Thanks once again.
The manager was excellent, and her nurse colleagues were exemplary in their approaches.
Many thanks for helping support my dad at what was a very vulnerable time in his life.
She feels that they are understanding of her needs and helpful with her care. The food is excellent and suits her dietary requirements.
Thank you for your review; it is lovely to hear such beautiful comments about the staff. I will share this with everyone.
She has settled in well at the home, and the staff were very helpful with the transition to residential care. There is a good ratio of staff to residents, and the management keep us in the loop about anything we need to know.
The building is in a lovely setting, with a secure garden so my mother can sit out whenever she wishes. There are a number of living rooms, so residents can choose whether they wish to be with everyone, or go somewhere quieter.
When we visit, we're always made very welcome (even being asked if we'd like to stay for lunch). The staff really go the extra mile, and the staff/resident ratio is good.
Moving my mother to Hadleigh Nursing Home has given the family great peace of mind, as we can see that she is being so well cared for. Thank you to everyone at the nursing home!

Meet the Team (5)

I trained with Anglia Ruskin and then, once qualified, started as a ward nurse in the care of the elderly at Colchester General. I started my nursing career later in life and was originally working in London for Barclays Bank and NIG Skandia. I have been a nurse for over 14 years. My last role was as a Senior Specialist Urology Nurse, and I was in that role for 7 years. Before this, I worked for a community nursing team. Before this, I worked in school nursing, leading clinics for 5 to 18-year-olds I also worked as a Renal dialysis Nurse.
Becoming a Nurse was my greatest achievement, and I have since loved working with families and patients to help promote good quality care for all. I moved to Hadleigh 5 years ago and have been greatly impressed by the community and the wonderful surrounding areas. I enjoy spending time with my family and animals, who are important to me. I have been given a wonderful opportunity to work at Hadleigh Nursing Home with a wonderful team to help promote patient-centred care and enhance residents' lives and wellbeing.

I qualified as a nurse in 2015, and most of my career to date has been in community nursing in Colchester and acute oncology and haematology, including a secondment to a general medical ward at Colchester General Hospital, all of which have provided me with a wide knowledge and experience base. In 2025, I completed a post-graduate qualification in District Nursing and Non-Medical Prescribing. Since joining Hadleigh Nursing Home, I have been welcomed by the caring staff and lovely residents, and am proud to be part of a team who cares deeply about enhancing the lives of the residents and providing high-quality care, whatever their role. I moved to Hadleigh in 2022 and live here with my husband Kieran and our two boys, Stanley and Louis.
In my spare time, I enjoy fitness, running and countryside walks, and spending quality time with my family.

I worked in hotels for 18 years before I joined the team at Hadleigh Hall Nursing Home. I am passionate about making meal times special for our residents with great service and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. My experience in events and wedding coordinating makes me adaptable with a keen eye for the smaller details. I take great pride in exceeding both resident and relative expectations wherever possible. With a strong person-centred approach, Hadleigh Hall Nursing Home feels just like a family and I am proud to be part of a team delivering a first-class experience for our residents. I am lucky to reside in the wonderful area of Hadleigh and outside of work, my family and I love exploring the countryside and all that our new “UK” home has to offer, having arrived from South Africa last April.

I have worked in the healthcare sector for 22 years, 17 years as an Administrator. I started as a Night Care assistant, then as a Housekeeper. I enjoy my job and love working within the Healthcare sector. The job is varied with every day bringing a new challenge. I love the daily interactions with the residents and their families. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, especially my grandson’s Charlie and Kingsley, and travelling to our holiday home in Spain.

As the wife of a serving soldier of 24 years, now a veteran, we moved into Hadleigh in 2002. My first job in Hadleigh was as an activity coordinator in a care home in 2003. After a year, I changed my job role to that of a teaching assistant/pastoral care in a local school, supporting charity work within the community and welfare within the Army community for 10 years. I spent one year as a member of the Town Council. In 2014, I joined the Hadleigh Dementia Action Alliance for 6 years and worked at a local residential care home for 5 years as a carer and the activity coordinator, before moving to Hadleigh Nursing Home in 2019 as the Lifestyle Coordinator and a Senior Carer role.
