I cannot thank everybody enough for the love and care shown to my mother since she became a resident in October 2019. As I live in Birmingham it is a huge weight off my shoulders to know that she is now safe and secure due to wanderings stemmed from her Dementia. She is so happy there and it's lovely to see her beaming smile on the social media pictures. Thank you so much to everybody. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

Thank you for your kind words Jane. Your mum has settled in very well and is joining in with the home activities, she always has a smile and a hello when I see her. Merry Christmas from all the team at Astbury Manor.

My daughter and I, having visited several other care homes, many of which were good - had no doubt that Astbury Manor was the best home for our loved one. We were right.

The building itself is so airy and spacious and the atmosphere is warm and cheerful. More, in particular, the staff are always helpful and seem happy in their jobs. Bedroom, food, activities are all excellent.

I came here for respite care following a major operation for bowel cancer. I have had 3 weeks of complete relaxation and no responsibilities which have speeded up my recovery. There is a lovely, warm atmosphere, everyone knows your name, smiles abound. Activities are there if you want to join in. The care and kindness shown to those who have problems is second to none.

Having the need for a break we were initially worried as to how to care for mum whilst we were away.
The staff, however, made the process so easy for us.
Knowing she was in a safe, well-managed home meant we could relax and recharge.

Wonderful staff and care, thank you so much.

My parents were at Astbury for 1 week. They enjoyed their time there and said that staff were very nice. Food choices were good too.

They would have liked more frequent film afternoons and perhaps have more activities like painting, drawing, needlecraft and knitting.

Management could be more helpful. Carers are all very good even when they are busy. Activities are varied to suit all needs in the home. Food seems to be liked by the residents. Families can have a meal, if booked, as well, though the food could arrive a little warmer than it does. Most residents seem to be very happy.

Since my mother in law moved into Astbury Manor, she has become a different person. She is joining in all activities and is being given choices with every aspect of her life. The staff are amazing, always smiling and laughing from reception right up to the staff on each floor. The Chef produces remarkable award-winning food which is made with love and care. The well-being staff are heroes and are absolutely amazing when they interact with the residents. The trips out cater for all residents hobbies and interests which can be seen on the home's Facebook page. This is also a fantastic page to visit as it gives relatives like me an insight into what my mother in law gets up to rather than her saying “I can’t remember”. Nothing is ever too much bother and the Home Manager, Deputy Manager and Head of Units are so approachable and really are a credit to Avery Healthcare. Thank you for making my mother in law so happy and enjoying life again.

Five star care within a luxury but homely hotel like setting.
Words cannot express the significant improvement that I have seen in my mother since moving into the care of Avery and Astbury Manor.
There are always plenty of activities going on with outings, indoor activities and regular exercise classes. There are also individual person-centred activities.
The skills and knowledge throughout the staff teams shine through from reception through to management, not only with the dementia care but also with the understanding of other additional life-changing disabilities.
Mother’s individual care needs have been carefully documented and then subsequently executed with perfection.

I can now relax knowing that my mother is being looked after.
