I have found the home and its staff to be caring and helpful.
I feel my mother is well looked after here.
She has been settled and is very fond of the staff at Glenabbey Manor.

It’s has been a very difficult time for everyone and continues to be but under the circumstances, my family are content with Mum's care.

My family and I are very happy with the care and attention my mother receives at this most professionally run home. The new manager and her staff are excellent and show genuine love for the residents. Their enthusiasm and attention over the current lockdown period is particularly noteworthy.

My Mother has been a resident in Glenabbey Manor for 18 months and during that time has been extremely well cared for in the home. It took Mum some time to settle and get used to a different routine and the staff have always been very patient and caring. I know that Mum is safe and well especially during this very difficult and distressing time of the Coronavirus pandemic. All staff at Glenabbey are doing a fantastic job and I appreciate all their efforts.

My mum has been a resident in Glenabbey Manor for almost 2 years now and she remains safe, happy, very well cared for and looked after by the management and staff. The facilities are modern, the highest standard, well maintained and the activities team and staff make a major effort to to make the lives of the residents as interesting and as much fun as possible. There’s always plenty of interaction. It’s like a extension of the family for mum. As a family we had experience of other care homes and I cannot compare them to the positive experience we have with Glenabbey.

Aunt is new to Glenabbey right at the time of Covid-19. Unable to visit but they have been wonderful at keeping relatives updated by regular emails, photos and videos. Wonderful care given.

I am very happy with the way in which Glenabbey are handling the current Covid-19 crisis. The manager sends regular emails updating relatives and the activities co-ordinator posts lots of photos on social media showing residents taking part in activities. On a few occasions, I've been put through to my mother's floor, and the staff have always offered to take the phone to my mum so I can have a short chat with her. I'd just like to say a big thank you to all the staff for all your patience and selfless hard work at this dreadful time.

From the moment my dad became a service user at Glenabbey he has felt as if he is at home, the staff are all very competent and very caring, it’s as if they are looking after their own family members. Especially more so now we are all in lockdown because of the Covid-19 outbreak. They even used their own phones to video call us so we could not only talk to our relatives and loved ones but we could see them and more importantly, they could see us. I can’t thank the staff enough. Very well done to all the staff both seen and unseen ones.

I have never faulted the care my Mum has received since entering Glenabbey. It took my Mum a little while to settle at first but with the gentle and welcoming nature of the staff, she was soon put as ease. The home is kept very clean and the Activity Team are so enthusiastic in coming up with suggestions of either, where to take the residents on outings or what to plan for in-house.

The staff are excellent, pleasant and extremely helpful. They take care of my father in a caring and loving way. They have been excellent in the past 2 weeks since the coronavirus situation actioned them to close the home to visitors by showing videos of our loved ones, especially on Mothering Sunday and birthdays that have taken place. So from the bottom of my heart, I say thank you to all the staff in Glenabbey Manor.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Glenabbey. From the receptionist to the manager and everyone in between.
The carers, social team and CTLs are beyond amazing.
It's an extended family. The care, love, kindness and support given daily is superb but during COVID-19 it ramped up to a whole new level.
The daily updates by email and social media, the pictures, videos and entertainment provided during an extremely difficult time is 1000000%

No words are good enough to praise them all.

My mum became a resident of Glenabbey Manor, on the 13th March, at the start of the coronavirus. I had to leave her with strange people and obviously, I wasn't able to visit her at this dreadful time. I have to say I was worried sick about how she would settle in. I have been so happy with the care Mum has received so far 2weeks in and I have been able to speak to her by phone and she seems happy and at ease. Thanks to the team there for making her feel so welcome and thanks for your support and care to her. Also, it's great to see her by videos on the Glenabbey social media page. Where would we be without these wonderful carers?

I decided to post this review at this moment, as we are all trying to cope with the threat posed by the Coronavirus. I wanted to highlight the work of the staff at Glenabbey who have been working tirelessly not only to ensure that the physical needs of our loved ones are met but that they are safe, happy and stimulated.
At a time when we can't be there, the staff have shown enormous commitment and dedication.

Many many thanks.

Words cannot express how wonderful this care home is. My mother has been a resident since shortly after they opened. Their care, compassion, respect and love for the residents is second to none. Although we have been unable to visit for the past month due to the Coronavirus they have done everything in their power to keep us connected with our loved ones through emails, videos and phone calls. It is so reassuring to know that mum’s second family at Glenabbey are trying to keep her safe and healthy on my behalf.

My 91-year-old mother was no longer able to live independently and was moved to Glenabbey Manor in October of 2019. Our situation is a little unique in that I live in Canada and have no siblings. It fell to me to find a residential care facility that could meet my special requirements, given that I live 3,000 miles away. After visiting several homes for the aged, the choice was clear. The high quality of care, the cleanliness of the facility and the experienced and caring professional staff have set a standard for others to emulate. I see my mother every few months and between these visits, the staff members always make themselves available, if I have questions or concerns or just generally want to know how things are going. They also do not hesitate to email me ensuring I’m kept in the loop on all matters pertaining to her wellbeing. I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the staff. It’s not an easy vocation and it’s one that is demanding and emotionally draining.

Since my father was allocated a room in Glenabbey Manor his whole wellbeing changed for the better. He is completely content as to where he is and never talks about matters outside the home. In his own words, he describes The Manor as a five-star hotel. I would like to mention the staff and management have a lot to be commended for. The way they look after the residents and their families. I thank you all for your hard work and dedication. It shines through when you see the smile on the resident's faces. Thank you.

Performance details listed below are based on discussions with the resident.

The reception desk/area should have a person present on Saturday and Sunday to reduce time visitors have to wait to gain entrance to the building.

Lovely, friendly staff. They do a great job in very difficult circumstances.
Clean, modern and safe place for my mother to live.
Could do with a few more activities.
Don't really see what mum gets for dinner but noticed one night it was very dry, chicken burger and chips. No sauce or mayo or gravy.

Other than that, I am very happy with surroundings.
