Marigold Nursing Home in Sunderland offers 24/7 residential care, elderly care, end of life care, respite care and general nursing care, as well as dementia care.

All rooms come with an en-suite facility, pets are allowed and residents can access WiFi from anywhere in the property.

The care home is set in the grounds of quiet and secluded mature gardens, with a large seating area for residents to enjoy fresh air with family and friends.

Languages spoken by staff include English, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. The team of nurses, carers, kitchen staff and assistants work hard to create a safe, comfortable and enjoyable place for residents to live.

The catering team provide a fresh balanced menu which is planned with the consultation of residents.

An activity coordinator helps to arrange a wide range of activities for individuals to get involved in, including sensory activities, doll therapy, gardening and shopping trips.

Marigold Nursing Home is an excellent resource within our local community. Standards within the home are extremely high and staff well trained and caring. Each member is dedicated to ensuring residents retain dignity are respected and nursed/supported to the best of their ability and take pride in their
caring. The rooms are immaculate and the home itself is warm and welcoming. Staff are professional and friendly and knowledgeable about each resident individually. I am thrilled my friend is being properly cared for at last.

To see my sister happy and content is a statement to the happy and good staff in Marigold Nursing Home. They, the staff, know how to deal with each resident as they need help.
The manager is excellent also knowing each resident.

Since my aunt has moved into Marigold Nursing Home she is very content and has been exceptionally cared for. The staff are so friendly and helpful in every way. My cousin is so much more relaxed and happy now knowing her mam is being looked after so well.

Can't fault the service, happy and friendly staff and a home from home. Since my Mam moved in she is a lot more settled with activities everyday and family are treated really well by all the staff and management and we are always invited to all special days and parties.

After many months of trying to care for my mother with help from the rest of the family, we had to give in and look for a care home. We looked at a few because we only wanted the best for her and we came across the newly reopened Marigold Nursing Home. We visited a few times and every time we were greeted
with lovely friendly staff and happy residents, we decided to make it my mams home. Now she is all settled we feel much more at ease leaving her. The home itself is like one big family. All staff know who you are and welcome anytime. We are made to feel at home as well as my mam, for example, we can make drinks etc just like we would if mam was in her own house. I would highly recommend Marigold Nursing Home to anyone who is thinking about needing full-time care for their loved one and like us were unsure but please have a look at this care home. Management and all staff are there to help you with anything.

My mother has excellent care at Marigold Nursing Home. I have no worries about leaving her in their care. She is treated with dignity and her needs are put first. The staff are excellent. They are gentle and caring over and above their duties.

I found the staff very supportive of their clients, well looked after they are at there back and call. Rooms lovely kept spotlessly clean, clients kept lovely and clean would recommend this home. I look forward to coming here, the staff always keep me informed about my neighbour and I know he is in
good hands and don't worry about him half as much as I used to.

On recommendation my brother should receive 24-hour care, I was very fortunate to find Marigold Nursing Home. Despite sad circumstances, I found it to be a very warm and welcoming home, managed by a superb dedicated team with very professional and understanding staff who treated everyone with the highest
regards, utmost standard of care and understanding and with great dignity.
His room is always kept pristine and tidy. He enjoys all of his meals, the team look after his personal hygiene and prompt him with his medication as well as keeping me informed with all happening with regards to my brother.

Cannot fault The Marigold, it is a lovely nursing home, staff are wonderful and very caring, from care assistants right up to Nurse Manager. Rooms are cosy and comfy. Dining rooms are modern and tastefully decorated. Food and drinks cannot be beaten. All in all, a truly lovely "home from home".
