Ashley Lodge Care Home

Mum has been at Ashley Lodge for over a year now. On a recent visit, it was good to see how well Mum was responding to the various staff members who passed through her room. There was a strong sense of her being comfortable in their company.

In fact, there was a very happy and calm atmosphere throughout

the Home. Every member of staff we encountered was ready to help in any way possible - even when we didn't need it! As for the new menu, well, that is clearly a great success. Mum emptied her plate and later told me how good the food was there! So a very special thank you to head chef Julian and his lovely staff.

These results are only possible through the conscientious, professional and superb teamwork from everyone there working together towards the same goals and in the same enabling culture.

My Dad was ar Read House for around a year. The care he received was outstanding, the Home is welcoming, safe, loving and truly a home. It is run very efficiently and with humanity. The residents are definitely front and centre of the management's focus and they are very well provided for. I would not

My cousin can be quite difficult and demanding at times - staff always treat her with respect and understanding. My cousin is prone to wandering but security is tight and I am not aware of her safety being compromised.
The phone is always answered promptly and staff are polite and helpful.

My mother was a resident in Read House for nearly 4 years. During that time she was looked after superbly by the dedicated staff. I cannot fault the care she received which was a big relief to myself and the rest of the family.
The staff really go the extra mile to look after all of the residents and
nothing is too much trouble. As mums condition steadily deteriorated they were there for her to ensure she was as comfortable as possible.
They have a really well planned daily activity schedule which helps to stimulate the residents.
During the period the owners have spent a great deal of time and money redecorating the place as well and it is an immaculate care home.

Bryony Park has been an absolue blessing to find for my father. The manager and her team have provided him with a wonderfully safe, caring environment with outstanding nursing care for his significant injuries. He enjoys hus food & the interaction from staff although still reserved in his interaction
outside of his room. I look forward to him receiving physio & perhaps the introduction of a wheelchair to assist with his social interaction. Many thanks to all at Bryony Park.

Mum moved into Ashley Lodge at the beginning of June on a permanent basis. Mum is very well looked after and is very happy there. The staff are all excellent and the manager is always available and very approachable.
The activities are a lovely part of the day and are varied and well run. The level
of care mum receives is excellent and nothing is too much trouble.
Initially I found it very difficult when mum went into the home but mum has settled in very quickly and within a very short space of time thinks of it as home.
Massive thanks to everybody.

The care given to my dad was excellent. From the 1st time we met with the Care Home manager to the end of his stay there. The staff were all extremely helpful and patient with my dad when he wasn't always co-operating fully or on his best behaviour. They also treated him with respect and in a friendly
manner which was much appreciated. It was good to see my dad smile when some of the staff came in to see him. We also noticed how frequently the staff checked in with dad while they were passing his room.

In addition, the staff were always very friendly and helpful to ourselves in such a difficult time for the family. The food, drinks and toiletries provided to us as we stayed with our dad were very much appreciated.

Thank you all for what you did for my dad whilst he was with you.
