This purpose-built care home provides accommodation in single occupancy rooms, all of which have en-suite facilities.

Bryony Lodge features TV lounges and a quiet sitting room for relaxation. Separate dining rooms, where residents can socialise at meal times, are also available. Traditional home cooked food is served using fresh produce, with residents being able to select from the choices available daily. Special diets can be catered for.

Residents may benefit from the regular visits made to the home by an experienced hair stylist and qualified chiropodist. Complementary therapies can be arranged.

In the main Mams stay here has been excellent save for a few little niggles that have been resolved quickly. Staff are lovely & friendly and deal with difficult situations with fortitude. Management have been very forgiving when I have forgotten to pay Mams fees - thank you!
We looked at many other
care homes before placing Mam here and this was by far the best we saw. Glad she's here!

Mother in law came into Bryony 6 months ago. She was made welcome. Encouraged to join in various activities. Staff are aware of her deep religious faith and do what they can to encourage/support her. We are kept informed of any falls etc. Staff always have time to talk/answer questions. Family are satisfied
that she is in a safe/clean/caring environment and are grateful for care given/received.

My mam has been here for 5 years and she is very happy. The place is a relaxing home and the staff are so approachable. Their care for my mam is second to none, especially the last 6 weeks as my mam has been poorly. There are always activities and coffee mornings, which we are always welcome to go to.

Very welcoming home, wonderful staff and informative re. activities, church groups, one-to-one well-being, tea and coffee mornings and one-to-one care, e.g. well-being chats.
Lots of opportunities to have sensory engagement as corridors have lots of, presently, festive arrangements.
Unfortunately,
I am unable to comment on all the ratings as I am only able to visit weekly, representing the church to administer Holy Communion to my friend as I have done during her home life prior to entry to the home.

Dad has been here since November 2023 and has settled in really well. The staff are all friendly and very hard working. The premises are immaculately clean and Dad's room is always tidy with clean bedding every other day. I've been told that Dad is eating well which is a relief because he wasn't eating
whilst he was in hospital before he was admitted here to Bryony Lodge.

My mum has been here since July last year and has now settled in. The care she receives is very good. She is very safe. The staff take good care of her. She also enjoys the entertainment which is provided.
Mum's room is very spacious. Everywhere in the home is spotlessly clean. I have total peace of

Hi, I am the Home Manager here at Bryony Lodge Nursing Home!


I am proud to say that I am a dedicated qualified registered manager I have completed QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management. And I am fortunate to be in a position to lead such a wonderful group of staff I have worked in healthcare since I was 19 and started out as a healthcare assistant within a care home providing complex nursing care for residents, as well as rehabilitation and palliative care. I also managed a Home Care business where I provided help and support into the community.


I love my role at Bryony Lodge and take great pride in supporting the team. The nurses and the staff are a dedicated and well-established group, and are all very proactive. I live local to the care home so I have good knowledge of the area.


Our staff are what holds the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring the residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home.v
