Mt mam has been here since February. The care she receives is better than any care I could have given. Always doing something (activities), always clean, well fed and looked after. She has made numerous friends and is willing to take part. if I have any problems/questions, there is always someone around to ask.

Urgent admission at a busy time was handled impeccably. The home went out of their way to help us further by providing another room for partner. Both individuals had various, quite complex medical needs which were fully looked after during their stay. Any questions we had due to the urgent admission were fully answered and the family were being helped by knowing that both parents were receiving the best care and attention available at a difficult time. All of the staff were very friendly and professional towards them and they both said that no one could have done more to help them, the staff were amazing. They were kept occupied and involved with the variety of activities that were provided. The whole family were appreciative of the help that was received throughout their stay of both parents.

My mother came in with little quality of life and the home has really turned things around for her. Staff are so helpful and I am sure the care she has received has allowed her to be able to go home with support. If she becomes poorly again, I shall certainly request a place again.

I would like to say a big thank you to all staff for the care they are giving to my relative and no doubt others! There are many people like this in the world, but they mostly go unnoticed, so may I take the opportunity to give them a shout out - thank you so much for all you do for me! Briony Lodge, Hendon rocks! Well done all you fantastic people.

My Mum has been here only two weeks but the care has been excellent. Like many older people, she has many health problems. The staff have dealt with them all with absolute professionalism. She has settled so well and it is a great comfort for us too. I can go home and not worry.

My mother has been in Bryony Lodge now for almost one year after her previous care home was closed. It helped her that some of her friends moved with her, but she has been made to feel welcome from the start and is settled and content. For me, and the rest of the family, it has been reassuring to know that she is well cared for and that everything, including her personal and medical care, is well looked after.

My Aunt has been a resident at Bryony Lodge for over 6 months and is shown respect and kindness at all times. She has settled better than I ever thought possible. The staff have taken the time to find out her likes and dislikes and as a result, she is content.

I have only been coming to Bryony Lodge Care Home for about 10 months, in that short time, there is a tremendous difference in my sister. I can relax in the knowledge that my sister is being well fed, looked after and had constant care.

I have been to the home today (Valentine's day) and was pleased to see that entertainment was surprised. I enjoyed it myself as well as the residents.

My mother was only a short time in Bryony Lodge.
At Christmas time she was to be discharged from a hospice and could no longer be cared for at home due to complex nursing needs.
I spoke to the manager and one of her nurses and she went on to make a comprehensive assessment and assured me her staff could care for Mam.
It was so difficult for us all to accept that care at home was no longer an option but all the staff on the nursing unit made the process as easy as possible with their efforts.
After extensive disease progression, Mam died this morning. My daughter and her young children were visiting and the nurse was wonderful. She called me in then went on to take the children into her care while my daughter sat with her grandma in her last moments.
In Mam's last hours the nurse had given her appropriate medicines and, most importantly, spent time with an anxious and dying lady.

There is only one chance to get it right and I shall always be grateful for this care.

Hi, I am the Home Manager here at Bryony Lodge Nursing Home!

I am proud to say that I am a dedicated qualified registered manager I have completed QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management. And I am fortunate to be in a position to lead such a wonderful group of staff I have worked in healthcare since I was 19 and started out as a healthcare assistant within a care home providing complex nursing care for residents, as well as rehabilitation and palliative care. I also managed a Home Care business where I provided help and support into the community.

I love my role at Bryony Lodge and take great pride in supporting the team. The nurses and the staff are a dedicated and well-established group, and are all very proactive. I live local to the care home so I have good knowledge of the area.

Our staff are what holds the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring the residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home.v
