Overall Experience

My mother was a resident here for a short period of time but the care she received was exceptional. The managers, nurses, carers, housekeepers, admin staff, treated her with great love and affection. As a family, we can't praise them enough and made her recent passing so much easier for us. She died peacefully and with dignity.

I am happy with the staff and manager. 2 weeks into my stay I am enjoying my time here. I have enjoyed activities, cooking, pamper days. I like sitting in the garden. I used to own my own home but now I have a lot of friends around me.

I was so anxious that my Father was going into residential care but was totally amazed at the excellent standard of care, staff compassionate, caring and professional, every need was catered for to the highest standard. They treated him like a family member. I couldn't ask for more. Would recommend most highly.

Bright surroundings with a good, positive atmosphere. Rooms are spacious and able to be personalised. Staff are exemplary from management, nursing and care assistants. All have a bright, positive can-do attitude and they seem to understand the needs and feelings of family and visitors as well as the resident themselves. We chose Bryony Lodge for its modern outlook and our sense of how the staff would respond to and handle my brother's needs and we have not been disappointed.

My visits to Bryony Lodge Nursing Home in recent months have always been a pleasurable experience. The staff are polite and helpful and appear happy in their working environment which promotes a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Obviously, this contributes to a positive experience for all involved - staff, visitors, and especially residents who respond well and evidently have good relationships with a member of staff who in my experience always display a caring attitude. The manager is positive and interested in the home being run to a high standard and committed to providing the right sort of care to any who come to stay. I highly recommend.

Overall Experience

My mother has been at Bryony Lodge Nursing Home since February and I have had no complaints at all. She has Dementia and is pretty much bedbound so her use of activities/facilities is somewhat limited. Having said that the Activities boards are full and there is always a buzz. The team ask me what I think mam would like to do.

The staff make me feel welcome and always treat my mother with a great level of care and respect, my mam cannot communicate but seems very settled. There has been a recent change in ownership and with that comes a change in Management/staff. I have been asked to join a recruitment panel to help with the intake of new staff, this I think is an excellent idea and the inclusion of families a big plus. Her room is nice and is always spotless, the food is varied and of a good quality.

My score of satisfactory for Value for Money is not a reflection on the charges Bryony has in place which are very competitive, but more that as a self funder I find ALL care fees extortionate

I always feel that the residents and families are listened to. The staff are approachable and since new management have been in, the whole home feels a lot more welcoming. I look forward to the continued improvement and also love that my husband is smiling again.

This is a very caring home. The staff are very proud of their reputation for genuine interest in each and every resident - quite rightly so. Nothing is ever a problem (even when they don't know they are being overheard). Nowhere is perfect but this care home is as good as you get. My mother has been here for two years and five months and is very happy - she would let the staff know if there was a problem!

Hi, I am the Home Manager here at Bryony Lodge Nursing Home!

I am proud to say that I am a dedicated qualified registered manager I have completed QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management. And I am fortunate to be in a position to lead such a wonderful group of staff I have worked in healthcare since I was 19 and started out as a healthcare assistant within a care home providing complex nursing care for residents, as well as rehabilitation and palliative care. I also managed a Home Care business where I provided help and support into the community.

I love my role at Bryony Lodge and take great pride in supporting the team. The nurses and the staff are a dedicated and well-established group, and are all very proactive. I live local to the care home so I have good knowledge of the area.

Our staff are what holds the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring the residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home.v
