Marigold Nursing Home

The care and kindness are genuine and extend beyond the residents. The staff treat relatives of residents with the same compassion. The management was efficient and effective, responded sensitively and timely to our communication needs with my brother-in-law. Even facilitating him to communicate with his nephew overseas.

The hard-working management and staff are committed to providing residents with dignified care. They have always nurtured and cared for my brother with absolute professionalism. Although my brother did not talk about the activities I have seen photographs of him enjoying activities. The staff have always been friendly and understanding and have taken the time to help me to keep in touch with my brother. I have always been impressed by their compassion and dedication and cannot praise them highly enough.

My mother came here from a dementia ward and her improvement is amazing. I can't praise the staff and management any higher.

My mother spent a number of weeks in Marigold Nursing Home suffering with lung cancer which had spread significantly. Mam passed away in December with the staff by her side and I can honestly say the staff, care, social interaction, standards, nursing, in fact, everything about this home is outstanding, led by fantastic management who genuinely care and treat you as family. Mam had the best end of life care and experience possible and now my dad is also unwell with cancer, he will be hopefully admitted shortly and we would not want him to be anywhere else! Thank you all the team with our love.

My mam is cared for with utmost compassion and love by the staff at Marigold. Her needs are anticipated and met with prompt attention. As a family, we are welcomed and comforted at each visit. Mam has recently been poorly and the staff were sympathetic, considerate and flexible with us.

My partner has been in this home for over six months now and her four daughters and I are more than happy with the home. All the staff are excellent and always happy to help. We could not ask for a better place for our family. The manager is very approachable, kind and caring.

Having visited my friend in a number of local care homes I believe, at last, we have found the right home for her. The staff here are so friendly and attentive at all times when I visit. My friend's room is beautifully kept and always clean and tidy. The staff are like family and have genuine feelings and concerns for the residents.

Mam was thankfully accepted to stay at The Marigold Nursing home following a long stay in hospital. Unfortunately, it was a short stay but I feel blessed that Mam's last days were spent among people who cared. I can honestly say that Mam received the very best palliative care here and they gave her back her dignity and peace. Their care was exceptional at every level form the manager, carers, cook and other staff. In the short time she was in their care, Mam looked at home there and it gives me comfort, since her passing, that I made the right choice and I can't thank them enough. Mam passed away feeling safe, happy and comfortable which made her passing easier to accept. God bless you all.

Mam moved into the home in June 2019 and my sisters and I are very happy with the care and support Mam receives. Every time we visit, Mam is dressed with her hair done and clean clothes. The food is varied and there is always something available. Mam has settled very well and I feel this is due to the lovely manager, carers and other staff around her. Everyone is so courteous, happy to speak to us, always smiling and supportive. This has really helped me, knowing how well cared for Mam is.

I feel very welcome by both the manager and all the staff when I visit my mam, knowing she is being well taken care of at Marigold. I'm very happy with this and so are the rest of our family.

The first impression of the Marigold is very friendly and you all feel a part of one big family. The staff treat the residents like their own family. They are so caring, friendly, approachable, helpful and patient and will go out of their way to cover any wishes or needs for the patients/residents. I don't have any worries when I leave my mother in the Marigold. We both know that she is being cared for by the capable and caring staff.

No complaints whatsoever. Staff are very attentive at all times and fantastic care is given day and night. Mum was there for palliative care and was looked after extremely well. She felt safe and was very comfortable at all times. I would highly recommend the Marigold Nursing Home.

Family members visiting residents do not feel restricted to set times etc. Overall, Marigold is home to all.

It is bright, clean, comfortable and the food is amazing. I can't complain about anything at all. Amazing home!

Staff are lovely to me, always there when I get upset, manager does everything to run an excellent dementia care home.

Absolutely superb all round. All staff, managers, nurses, carers, cooks, even the owner, all part of the family. Activities, knitting, outings. I cannot speak highly enough. Always approachable, considerate, caring and patient. Mother has been in other homes which pale into insignificance.

I am happy my mother is living in a loving home with people around her who I now consider to be my extended family.

All staff outstanding including managers, nurses, cooks, even the owner, nothing is too much trouble. Activities and outings all great, family meetings, always willing to listen and discuss any issues.

My Mum came here in August of this year with advanced dementia. I can honestly say we could not have selected a better nursing home anywhere. The staff are so caring. I have seen them spend up to 2 hours with my Mum to ensure that she eats her food. She is always spotlessly clean. The Manager is always very approachable and is always on hand to answer any questions. A wonderful place and highly recommended.

There are activities every day and the management team have some innovative ways of engaging with the residents, which work incredibly well. Making the decision that a parent has to go into a care home is heart breaking. But entrusting Mam to the amazing staff and managers at Marigold has helped us to cope. We firmly believe that Marigold rescued my mam.
