From the first moment I stepped into the home, I was instantly greeted and welcomed.
I was shown around the beautiful place and was fully informed of all the facilities.
I knew instantly this was the perfect home to place my lovely Father.
All the staff were friendly and very kind.
Nothing was too much trouble for them.
I sampled the excellent food which was perfectly presented.
The Chef made sure my Father's and my personal tastes were accounted for.
The Staff at Avonmere certainly helped to ease the difficult times I had.
I would definitely recommend Avonmere Care Home to anyone.

Hi, I’m Samantha, the Home Manager at Avonmere. I love working at Avonmere because I have a real passion and drive for enhancing the lives of others and supporting people and their families through their care home journey. I understand that moving into a care home can be a difficult and emotional time, and I’m committed to making the transition as smooth and positive as possible.
I began my career as a Care Assistant before progressing to Senior Carer, which is where I discovered my passion for working with older adults. I then completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Nursing and went on to gain experience in a variety of nursing and care roles, including Registered Service Manager and Deputy Manager, before progressing to my current role as Home Manager.
I also have a passion for art and I love leading an art session with the residents to share my passion and skills with them.
