Abbey Dale Court has a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. My family member is well looked after.

The staff are extremely friendly and hard working. Can't praise them enough. Fantastic service. Very grateful for the care they provide for my gran and other residents.

Abbey Dale provides a caring, safe and secure environment for residents. Housekeeping promotes a safe and clean environment, catering is excellent and every effort is made on special occasions and anniversaries throughout the year to mark these occasions with an appropriate menu. Communication has very much improved over the last few months.

The home is of a very high standard. My brother has been a resident here now for over 1 year and is happy in a very safe environment. Staff are very caring and friendly and always give 100% effort to every aspect of his care and support not only to him as a resident but to all the family. During the year of my brother’s residence, there have been a lot of changes in the home which have been very positive and continue to improve. Any concerns raised or aspects of his care which we think could be improved on are actioned very quickly. There is a very strong and experienced management team in place bringing with them innovative ideas and care solutions to the home. Caring in this home comes from all employees from housekeeping, a fantastic chef and his team, an activities team encouraging residents to participate in activities and entertainment, dedicated carers and nurses. Each and everyone has a kind word for residents as they perform their duties.

The food is excellent and special occasions are celebrated in style. The activities team put a lot of effort into stimulating and engaging the residents.

My dad currently lives at Abbey Dale Court, he is content and happy in the home environment. He has the freedom to move around the home and has access to the lovely communal gardens at the rear of the home. The staff have always been amazing with my dad, always polite and very attentive to his needs. He is treated as an individual and always asked his opinion on matters that concern him. If there are ever any concerns these are always sorted out promptly by the staff who are all very approachable. The staff are more like friends and family members to my dad and us as a family. My dad is really fond of all of the staff although he definitely has a few favourites. I definitely have every faith in the staff and I am confident that he is well cared for.

My mother-in-law spent 4 happy years at Abbey Dale Court. We, as her family, are so happy she spent her last years in safety, and with such beautiful accommodation. But most of all, the personal care she received was first class.

The care my parents are having is second to none in every respect. My mum is end of life and Dad has Alzheimer's. Every member of staff I have encountered has been kind, considerate and professional. They are a well trained force who know my parents very well and take time to be with them apart from physically caring for them. All necessary comforts are available with Mum and Dad receiving the personal care that I would provide myself and would be grateful to have. 5 stars all round.

First and foremost, make sure they take the details of the next of kin, no information about my phone number or address was recorded. Concerns were never dealt with, very poor communication throughout. So basically, my mother was in the care of this care home with nothing in place. Even sent care home bill to her former address.

Completely unsatisfactory care was provided by Abbeydale. Even allowing for covid epidemic care given to my mum was totally unacceptable and this care home needs a complete overhaul throughout. It may have a lovely piano in the reception area but perhaps the money should be spent on staff and training.

My mum was only in Abbey Dale Court care home for a short period of time, however, the care she received was excellent. The staff were very attentive to her needs and kept me informed during difficult times of all my mums care. My mum sadly died on 12/4/21, it was so sad she didn't live long enough to enjoy this nursing home.

I have just recently been able to visit my husband and he is always neat, tidy and the staff are very helpful and caring towards him and he is quite calm and peaceful.

Staff work very hard to look after the residents in their care, they are cheerful and have fun conversations with him which he enjoys. The food is very good. The management have had a very difficult year due to Covid and are to be commended for all their efforts.

Abbeydale Court is a really great care home. In my opinion, it is because management and all team members really care about the residents' health, welfare and happiness. The place is attractive and clean with large bedrooms and very good communal spaces. I would happily recommend Abbeydale to anyone needing this kind of environment.

The home is beautiful and kept to a high standard of cleanliness. The food looked good and the kitchen staff always accompanied whatever my mum wanted. My mum was in Abbey Dale Court for a year. Cannot fault the management team. Fantastic people who would go to any lengths to help you. The care staff were phenomenal with my mum. Not just carers, but became her friend. If you are looking for a place for a family member, look no further than Abbey Dale. I just want to add a massive thank you to all the staff for their care for my mum till the end and also for the care, support, and condolences passed to us. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for making my mum's final year, a happy one. You are all angels in disguise. Keep up the good work.

Moved my Mother to Abbeydale Court last year although I was told by various people not to as there have been issues with Management, which I now see, as we are on our 3rd manager within the past year.

The home is stunning and the facilities are great. I have no complaints at all.

But just had a letter in giving us a 18% increase for the coming year. I understand there is a need for increases but when we reviewed care homes a couple of years ago, they seem to be running high around the country at around 5% per year, which is double current inflation but to suddenly send through letters saying putting price up 18% - be careful, as where does it stop and it has taken us a year to get my Mum settled and I don't want to move her again.

Have noticed drawers, where spoons, knives and forks are kept, is needing to be cleaned, quite grubby on floor 1.

Overall I am very pleased with the care and support my mother receives on the 1st floor of the care home. She has dementia, cannot speak very well and is blind in one eye, however is fully aware of all that's going on and very contented. I think this is down to the routine and atmosphere that has been created by the nurse/leader and her 'dream team' as I like to call them. They frequently go above and beyond their normal duties and just seem to care. If something is not quite right, they will ensure the problem is resolved a.s.a.p. These people are the reason I can put my head on the pillow at night. My only bone of contention is the laundry service, too slow, lost items of clothing in the wrong room/people with the wrong clothes on, although the new management team are trying to make improvements.
