I have been very impressed with the care and management of Hartfield House Care Home. My aunts have settled quickly in to life at the home and feel very well cared for. The reception and management are welcoming and receptive. The nursing staff are friendly, professional and provide person-centered care. The residents rooms and living areas are beautifully maintained and feels very much the residents home. I would highly recommend.

My mum has been in Hartfield House since February 2019, and I cannot fault the care she is given. The staff are so caring and deal amazingly and patiently with her fluctuating moods due to dementia. It is clear they understand it isn't really my mum being like she is, but the horrid condition she unfortunately has. Special mention must go to the lady who is in charge of the nursing staff. The home has been fantastic during the Covid crisis, and I am so grateful they have kept my mum safe and well. One gripe is that a set of mum's teeth costing nearly £700 went missing after only about two months of being fitted, and I was told I was not entitled to any compensation. In view of the monthly cost, I was surprised and disappointed at this. Other than that, there is nowhere else I would want my mum to be as it gives me huge peace of mind to know she is so well cared for.

My mother arrived at Hartfield in early 2020, and from the very start, the staff were helpful, courteous and very caring, making sure that she settled in and felt welcome, and responding to any requests that we had about her care. The home itself is lovely. The rooms and communal areas are clean, bright and beautifully furnished and decorated, and the ambience is always of a happy and busy place. The quality and variety of food served is amazing. Soon after my mother arrived lockdown started, but the staff have continued to provide an excellent service, always calm and efficient, and obviously working very hard to make day to day life pleasant for the residents. It has been extremely reassuring to know that during lockdown my mother has been so well looked after.

I spent two months in respite at Hartfield House in 2019. I was very impressed by the light, bright surroundings, big windows and restful decor enhanced by a beautiful mix of contrasting fabrics throughout the bedrooms and communal areas was very pleasant. The staff, including all the carers, were very kind and helpful ensuring our comfort. The food was varied and tasty; the soups were especially good and the sponge cakes exceptional! Lovely gardens with seating surround Hartfield House. There was also a hairdresser and a cinema, activities included exercise classes, coach trips and art. Also crosswords in the bistro coffee bar. I came home feeling I'd had a holiday in a 5 star hotel!

My mum moved to Hartfield House 12 months ago. And since then I have been extremely pleased with the care that she has received.
The staff treat my mum with respect and dignity. They are personable and kind, and really do go the “extra mile” to try and make her as happy and comfortable as she can be.
The facilities are excellent, what I particularly like is that all the rooms are light and bright. It is a really cheerful home, the bistro area has a good vibe and the communal lounge areas are homely but still chic.
I have built up a good rapport with the staff and this is very important as my mum has dementia. I am able to phone anytime to talk through my mum's needs and this has been incredibly helpful, especially in the last few weeks since the Coronavirus lockdown.

I am thrilled that I found Hartfield and couldn’t be happier that my mum is lucky enough to be a resident there. I recommend it without any hesitation whatsoever.

The home has a lovely atmosphere but it is the quality of the staff that makes it excellent. My father is unwell and has needed a high level of care and a few doctor visits. The staff have all been very kind and patient and appear to have a genuine fondness for all their residents. Communication has been excellent and both the organisational team and nursing care team have always found time to discuss all my queries. It’s a huge relief to see my Dad safe, happy and comfortable.

My mother joined Hartfield in late 2018. She had previously been resident at another home which had not suited her. She has settled very well at Hartfield and is beginning to thrive again physically.

As well as being caring and friendly, the staff provide excellent attention to detail and make a lot of effort to understand the residents as individuals.

The management is responsive, for example, jellies and fruit are served each afternoon to improve hydration through a fun social activity.

My father has been a resident since December 2018. In that time, the staff and management have done everything to make him feel welcome and at home. They also assisted him greatly with a recent bereavement. Can't speak highly enough of all the team.

Beautiful accommodation - the cinema room and library are very popular with my dad - he likes watching the cricket on the big screen! The staff are incredibly friendly and are really making an effort to get to know my father and to provide outings, food and activities that he will enjoy. The food is delicious. It is a great comfort to know my father is safe and being well looked after.

From my very first visit I was totally smitten. The home (Hartfield House) was totally brand new. Stunning decor, wonderful atmosphere, incredible staff. So caring, helpful, patient, understanding. The rooms are so beautiful and the food is 5 star. Activities, cinema, crafts, outings on the minibus. Hairdressers. I would totally recommend to anyone wishing first class care for their loved one. Nothing is too much trouble. Always ready to help and listen.

I visited a few care homes before placing my Aunt into one from April this year. In early September my Aunt's sister in law and I called into Hartfield House to make enquiries as it was nearer for both of us to visit. The staff were very welcoming and offered us tea and a tour which we happily accepted. We found the rooms and decor to be of exceptional quality and were bright and airy. The lounges were comfortable as were the dining areas. Again very welcoming. We both visit regularly with family and on every occasion, the staff treat us as friends and keep us fully up to date with my Aunt's progress. The service provided gives us peace of mind knowing my Aunt is safe and secure. I feel that we have won the lottery!

We moved my 104-year-old mum to Hartfield House from another care home which was delivering a poor standard of care. The care at Hartfield House was a revelation.

They carefully took her off sedative drugs and brought our old mum back to us - she started to enjoy life again with outings, cinema and social activities she hadn't experienced for years. The care at Hartfield House is exceptional and all the staff are excellent in their roles.
