Excellent service by all staff

I came in for 'respite' care following surgery. I have received nothing but first-class care. My room was excellent with a view out to the garden. The food and the dining room were excellent. The company at meal times made the meal times a pleasure.

Since Mum arrived at Pebble Mill, the service and overall experience has been first class. Genuinely caring and experienced staff, with limitless patience and empathy. This covers all staff, clerical, medical and nursing.

Lovely staff, comfortable rooms, lots of activities, which are well organised. Some staff could do with extra training. Attention to detail lacking. Food adequate.

While Pebble Mill is a Care Home and Nursing Home, in offering residential accommodation, it's a great place for convalescence. It offers exactly what you need, to recover from fractures, a lovely warm bed/sitting room (with orthopaedic bed) and wet room bathroom, overlooking the well-tended garden, all on one level, with corridors to practice using crutches. It's like a well-furnished modern 4* hotel, yet with lovely care and admin staff who offer the help you need, plus attentive medical care, from Nursing Staff and visiting doctor. Private physiotherapists are available. A salon and a hairdresser is available but you can call in your own and your own chiropodist. Rooms cleaned daily, bedding regularly changed, personal laundry done for you. Food is very wholesome, freshly home-cooked, on the premises. Eat in your room or in the dining room next to the lounge, join organised activities. There's also a mid-morning and afternoon tea and coffee trolley service. I highly recommend it.

The nursing team, care staff, and administrative team all work together with great dedication and compassion. Their support and attentiveness made a real difference to my stay, and I felt well cared for every step of the way. I would highly recommend Pebble Mill Care Home to anyone in need of nursing care or respite care, and I am deeply grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown by everyone there.

Thank you to everyone at PMCH, you acted so quickly and went over and above to assess my father and get him placed with you quickly. This saved a hospital admission and maintained his dignity. The staff are friendly, professional and really listen to what I think and want, as well as my father. Communication is swift and efficient. I work as a GP and have no hesitation in recommending PMCH.

I received a lot of support from all the nurses, Carers and Care assistants, as well as the administrative staff, who were all very kind to me. The food was excellent as were the facilities, with public rooms for family and friends to have food and drinks. His room over looked a well maintained garden. I felt staffing levels were sometimes compromising an otherwise high standard all round.

I am well satisfied with my care at Pebble Mill. My health has improved. My queries and concerns are promptly addressed. There is a positive and cheerful atmosphere.

My son was at Peddle Mill Care Home for 7 years, he passed away 24/3/25. The care he had from the first day was second to none. I have know doubt that his life was extended by their care, it became his home, and I had no fear of leaving him in their care. All staff and management treated him as their own, showing empathy for his condition. My life also changed because of the support they gave me. Although his age was far less than others, they made sure he had his music and he joined in their wonderful activities.

Highly recommend this care home. The members of staff are caring and warm professional and always keep informed. Building is very clean though rooms are small but adequate. During my stay as respite care support given to me are good. I wish best for future for this place. Please convey my thanks for all staff involved looking after my care.

I like the staff, including the hostess she is really nice. Food is catered to my choice.

A pleasant well maintained building. I was welcomed and quickly made comfortable in my pleasant room. During my short rehab stay I was treated with care, consideration and respect by all members of staff and my visitors are welcomed. Any minor problems were usually dealt with quickly. Food is plentiful served and care was taken to provide for particular requests. There was a varied programme of activities that I am sure would be of benefit to longer staying residents. Overall a good and positive experience. My only criticism related to payment. I asked to use my bank card but this was not possible. I feel this should be reconsidered.

Nothing is too much trouble.

Pebble Mill is a caring home and they look after Mum very well. There have been improvements within the home. A variety of activities are available. The staff care for the residents and take time to get to know them and their families. The care from the GP assigned to Mum is excellent and the nurses at the home work efficiently and ensure residents are well and keep relatives informed.

If there were more carers - particularly at weekends - this would be an excellent home. I would still class this a very good care home.

The service he received was excellent and of an exceptional standard. The staff and management were extremely supportive, caring and compassionate. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff did everything possible to provide my grandfather with high-quality support and dignity. They were also very caring and flexible.

Very good palliative care and nursing management of my mother-in-law's complex physical and emotional needs.
