My mother in law has been in Pebble Mill Care Home for 6 months. She is always treated with dignity and good humour and is very well cared for. There are many things she can no longer do for herself and she had a real fear of going into a care home. But the treatment she recieved here and the lovely bright and airy environment mean she is now remarkably content.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Pebble Mill care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I stayed at Pebble Mill for two weeks to convalesce following a knee replacement. The care and kindness shown to me during my stay was second to none. The staff were so welcoming and supportive and I enjoyed several entertainment programmes which were fantastic. The manager is doing an amazing job and I thoroughly recommend the home to anyone.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from residents who have stayed in our home. Thank you for choosing Pebble Mill for your stay.
Now that we are 6 months down the line, I have found the staff extremely caring and helpful. I visit about 5 to 6 times a week and have always found my friend to be well cared for and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend Pebble Mill Care Home.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are pleased to hear you can feel at ease knowing your friend is receiving the best care possible at our home. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
I am very grateful to a very professional and caring management for understanding my needs and for their flexibility. I am also very appreciative that a member of the management team noticed my breathing issues and arrangements were made to see a GP promptly who instructed that I should be admitted to A&E immediately. This action resulted in me being quickly seen and properly treated at the hospital. Less personal touch from the staff on the floor to the management. The best part is family and friends being invited to join me for a meal.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very happy to hear you felt at ease at Pebble Mill Care Home. Thank you for choosing Pebble Mill Care Home for your stay.
I went to Pebble Mill for respite care following an operation. It is modern, comfortable, clean and friendly. The best thing is the wonderful staff, particularly the carers and nurses. They are patient, cheerful and compassionate. The meals were excellent too.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased to hear words such as "compassionate" and "cheerful" being used to describe our staff and even our meals being described as "excellent". Thank you for choosing Pebble Mill for your stay.
My close friend started living at Pebble Mill Care Home in April 2024. She has only been there for 2.5 weeks but in all of my contact with the home leading up to her admission and since visiting, I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of all of the staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your friend in our care, and it is always nice to hear words like professionalism and friendliness being used to describe our staff. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
Mom was treated with the utmost respect. Unfortunately passing away on 8th April after almost 18 months as a resident. The carers and nurses were exceptional.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are saddened to hear of your loss and hope you are able to look back on this experience knowing your Mum recieved the best possible care.
Only been here for less than a month but really impressed with everything here. Very well organised. Staff are very caring and attentive. Building and garden are very attractive. Food excellent.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are happy to hear you feel so at ease and happy with everything our home has to offer, from the food to the gardens and staff. Thank you for choosing Pebble Mill care home.
Really friendly staff who take time out to speak with you and make my mom's stay there really comfortable and put her at ease. East regularly and food is fresh and cooked to order.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We hope to continue providing your mum with the best possible care.
My mom was in Pebble Mill for almost four years, living with dementia. As a fussy eater the kitchen staff were very supportive of this, often preparing something entirely different to cater for mom's taste - nothing was too much trouble. The management are very visible and always on hand to have a chat if needed and are very supportive of families as well as residents. Both management and staff treated my mom with great care and dignity during her final few days.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are pleased to hear Pebble Mill were so accommodating for your Mum and we hope you go away from this knowing and feeling that she received the best possible care.
My mom has Alzheimer's and she has been cared for compassionately by the staff at Pebble Mill. The staff have been available to discuss any concerns and kept me informed about mom's care.
Thank you for your kind feedback. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after.
Outstanding care of our mother, who has dementia and is bedbound. Mom has to be washed, dressed and, in times when we are not visiting, fed and helped to drink. It is a lovely care home to visit, with friendly staff.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are pleased to hear that your mother is receiving outstanding care and we hope to continue providing her with the best possible care.
My experience of this care home has been extremely positive. My father was discharged from the hospital and placed in Pebble Mill Care Home without my knowledge or involvement. The moment I found out, I looked up their status on the QCC website to find that they supposedly ''required improvement'' on all five criteria. Honestly, this QCC status does not reflect our own experience. They have looked after my father exceptionally well. All of the staff that care for my father have been superb. The building itself is new, well designed and well decorated. My sister and I and my father's friends are delighted to visit him in such lovely surroundings. With the assistance of the physiotherapists and the home's extreme patience, they have managed to get him walking again - something that I thought I would never see. Please judge with your own eyes and ears, and don't take the QCC status as gospel. It was assessed in 2020, so perhaps their next assessment will reflect what my sister and I see.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time, and it is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
A dear friend received palliative care here in June, July and until his death in August. Overall, the care was very good. He was tended lovingly and treated as a whole person. The healthcare assistance staff seemed to really care and to have enough time to not rush the bathing and changes of linen. Even a member of the weekend agency staff asked about my friend seriously, so that she could be aware of him as an individual. The senior nursing staff were also very caring, as if to a relative of theirs. Medical interventions were made with loving care. Two activities organisers offered a good programme of activities of many kinds, though temporarily constrained, of course, by the pandemic. Every effort was made, by one-to-one conversations, to find interests for each person, such things as garden visits being still possible. The quality assurance person who joined the staff in late July was compassionate and effective. She dealt with the things brought to her attention.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. We are glad to hear that you feel your Friend was well cared for by all of the staff. We are so sorry for your loss but hopefully, you are able to go away from this knowing that your Friend received the very best care possible.
Last year my Aunt was transferred to Pebble Mill Care Home from hospital and it's been fantastic! She has responded so well to the wonderful care she has received at Pebble Mill Care Home and looks amazing, no doubt the Spa Days and facials all helped. Everything about Pebble Mill Care Home is fabulous, the home itself of course and all the brilliant staff. Unfortunately, I have other relatives with care needs so I have experience of other care homes and there is no doubt Pebble Mill Care Home is the absolute best. If I ever end up in a care home, it had better be here!
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so glad to hear that your aunt is enjoying the activities and pampering at Pebble Mill. I will certainly pass your kind words on to the whole team. Thank you for your recommendation.
My Mum was very poorly looked after, bedbound and forgotten about plus a gold ring went missing from her finger. She was just a number, never a person! Only in here for seven months before she sadly passed.
I am extremely sorry to read this, and for the loss of your mother. We will raise this matter with our senior team.
My mom was transferred here after a short stay in hospital. We are now six weeks on and she is now there full time. The staff are so kind and caring. They do activities most days. They all work so hard. They make time for all the residents. The place is clean tidy and the rooms are gorgeous. My mom has her own room with a private bathroom. The decor is beautiful and she has her own things around her and is very settled there. If you are looking at a care home, this is the place to be.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so happy to hear our staff being described as kind and caring. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you again.
As you know we have not been able to visit Pebble Mill for the last six months so I can only go on what I know from the last year really.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback.
My mother moved into Pebble Mill Care Home from hospital in May 2020. She was considered end of life and needing palliative care. With wonderful care from the staff, she made a remarkable recovery from double pneumonia and enjoyed two glorious months. Her room and the facilities were absolutely first class. She was nursed to a peaceful and dignified end by the staff following heart failure in August. I thoroughly recommend this excellent care provider.
We are very sorry about your loss. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
My Mum and Dad are both at Pebble Mill now. My Mum has been there for two years and there have been a lot of improvements this year. Keeping Covid-19 out of the home has been extremely well handled along with the communication to relatives. My Dad went into the home in April and has been made to feel very welcome. I feel that both my parents are being treated in a very caring manner. Staff have also been very kind to me as I have found the whole situation very difficult emotionally.
Thank you for your understanding during such a difficult time. We appreciate it is very hard not being able to see your loved one for such a long time. Please let us know if there is anything else, we can do to help.

My name is Fouad Morsy. I am married with 2 lovely sons. I am proud of my 30 years cooking experience and I have worked as a catering manager for big companies. After my very successful career and the passing of my Father, I decided to work for Bupa so I can provide residents great quality food and the right nutrition. My team and I always go the extra mile to make them happy and feel special. I see all our residents as my own parents. I'm delighted to be part of the team at Pebble Mill.
