Staff claimed they were often so short-staffed they were unable to carry out even basic care duties.
The management is absolutely diabolical for so many reasons. Following a very disturbing two years at Blenheim, we moved, along with other families, my nan to a much better care home in Bramshott which
actually justifies the luxury price being charged by Blenheim.
Blenheim is without a doubt the most unprofessional care environment I have ever witnessed and includes highlights of the manager allowing her dog to not only come with her to work, but jump all over my nan's care bed, even though she was specifically asked not to. This was a frequent occurrence, not a one-off. I found prescription pills left on the floor, doors to the care home are often left open so any member of the public can waltz into the care floor (where there can often be seen end of life residents with their doors open, leaving them vulnerable)
A number of falls later (leading to broken bones) enough was enough.

Our 93-year-old mother was a resident at Blenheim Court Care Home for just over a year. She had never wanted to move into a care home but she actually found herself enjoying her life at Blenheim Court. She appreciated the attentive and caring staff, the activities and the beautiful environment. As
she became more frail she needed a lot of care which was given very patiently. My sister and I really enjoyed visiting before the pandemic. There was always a big welcome, lots of friendly faces and tasty cakes and treats. After Covid struck the staff set Mum’s iPad up for her every day so that we could communicate. Staff kept us well informed of how Mum was doing which was reassuring. They took a genuine interest in her and often went beyond the call of duty. It was a weight off our shoulders to know that Mum was happy and well cared for. Thank you Blenheim Court!

The care at Blenheim Court Care Home is excellent. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, many of which have become good friends with my mum. The activities and facilities are fantastic. My children loved visiting their grandma at Blenheim and will love to do it again once we are able to more
freely. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone looking for care!

I am very pleased with my sister's care at Blenheim Court. My sister had a life-changing stroke in January 2020 and went to the nursing home in the April. When she arrived there everything was done that could be to improve her life, she was moved from bed to chair and we were told when she was in hospital,
she would never be able to sit up, then she was persuaded to use a walking frame and now uses one often and we were told she would never walk again. My sister now talks fluently and eats food that is not pureed but we were told she would never talk and eat normally. The activities at Blenheim Court have been very good for her and she enjoys them. I think it is a fantastic nursing home and the care team all work together, it has a great friendly atmosphere.

I have nothing but praise for absolutely every one of the staff at Blenheim. My husband has been a resident there since February and he has been extremely well cared for through this awful Covid; the staff could not have done more for him. So pleased our family decided on Blenheim.

The manager and her team have been wonderful, the love and care they had during my dear mother's last days is a credit to them. They showed compassion and dignity and treated myself and my sister with the utmost kindness during this difficult time. I would not hesitate to recommend Blenheim Court for
all levels of care needs.

Our wonderful mother seriously struggled during the lockdown. Her physical and mental health deteriorated. We needed a safe haven for her and Blenheim Court was perfect with their loving care and attention from every member of staff. Sadly she was there for just one month. In her final days, she had
unbelievable amazing attention from the whole team and we were supported as a family by them. We can not thank them enough. The Manager and her team are beyond awesome. Angels, every one of them.

My 95-year-old mother has been living at Blenheim Court since June 2019 and my sister and I have been extremely happy with her standard of care. The attention to detail and attentiveness of all the staff and carers is exceptional; nothing is too much trouble. In recent weeks, amid the COVID-19 outbreak,
we have been kept informed about news and updates, consistently reassured and comforted whilst unable to visit in person. The imagination and thought put into keeping all the residents entertained and stimulated during this time has been fantastic. Blenheim Court post regular videos and updates so we relatives can see what our loved ones have been doing. This has helped my worries about Mum hugely. I can arrange Skype calls and we have been speaking often. I look forward to being able to visit again in the near future and be able to thank everyone personally. I would not hesitate in recommending this care home to anyone looking for a safe and caring environment for their loved one.

I cannot praise Blenheim Court highly enough for their care, help, compassion and love of my mum. Mum arrived as a very poorly person almost 2 years ago and is stronger now than she has been for years. Everyone at Blenheim genuinely cares about their residents. During these very troubled times, when
we have not been able to visit, our family know that everything is being done for Mum to keep her safe and well. Although Mum chooses not to join in many activities the choice is always there. It is so reassuring for us to know that Mum is being looked after in this wonderful caring way.

My mother has been at Blenheim Court for just over a year. She has been happy there and I have been happy knowing she is getting the very best care. All the staff do such a wonderful job to make sure the residents are included in activities and social events if they want to. My mum loves going to the
salon to have her hair done each week. The salon is situated in the bistro which is a lovely room, beautifully furnished and where you can get a coffee and a sweet treat. The views from this side of the building are spectacular. As a visitor you are always made to feel welcome. I live several hours drive away but the staff are always willing to talk to me over the phone, they also phone me if there is anything they think I should know. Highly recommend this wonderful care home.

Sadly my mum spent such a short time at Blenheim Court but whilst there, experienced the best of everything. She was able to convey how much she loved being here, enjoying the views over the Hampshire countryside and being able to rest in luxurious surroundings.

The care and attention given was the

best anyone could hope for. All staff were very professional, kind-hearted and alert to mum's needs. Thak you all for being 'you'.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.758) out of 10 for Blenheim Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.958 for Blenheim Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (138 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 143 Ratings = 4.958
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Blenheim Court Care Home is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 12 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
