We recently organised a 'surprise' birthday celebration for my father and 24 guests at the Ruddington Manor Care Centre which involved a private dining experience followed by a screening and singalong to one of his favourite films in the cinema room. The 3-course meal and service were of the highest quality and praised by all the guests, as was the birthday cake taken during the 'intermission' in the film. Everything ran smoothly from beginning to end, so a big and thoroughly deserved thank you to all of the team for helping us to make this a very happy and memorable birthday celebration for our much loved Dad. We would not hesitate to recommend the facilities to anyone planning a similar celebration.

Overall Experience
My Dad has developed a new lease of life since becoming a resident of Ruddington Manor 5 months ago.
The staff are excellent, standards of care are extremely high and there is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Any problems are quickly and efficiently dealt with.
When we visit Dad is often busy enjoying one of the activities that are organised each day. If not, he will be relaxing in his room
or chatting with other residents in the lounge sharing a glass of wine or beer, or out on one of the organised trips into the community.
His mobility has improved, as has his sleep pattern. Dad has made new friends and is looking better than he has been for a long time.
It was very hard for all of us to make the decision that Dad needed to go into care. Ruddington Manor has surpassed all expectations.
It is more like a hotel than a Care home, it always smells clean and fresh.

My Dad is happy.

Ruddington Manor is a wonderful place to be for both residents and visitors. My grandma has been living here for the past few months and visiting her is a true pleasure - the staff are so welcoming and friendly, always on hand to help with anything and we know that our grandma is in safe hands whenever we leave. The moral here is fantastic and our grandma frequently has stories of the lovely visits and trips that have been arranged for the residents, most recently a painting workshop that my brother took part in and thoroughly enjoyed. The manor is a fantastic place to be, and we're currently awaiting a cake judging competition in aid of Comic Relief, for which the staff have put their all into baking cakes for! With the promise of a piano arriving soon, I couldn't be more excited for my next visit. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone in need of a lovely place to live. Massive thanks to all the lovely staff who keep this beautiful establishment up and running so smoothly!

We have been volunteering at Ruddington Manor now since November 2018 visiting with some children from a Local Day Nursery once a fortnight. We cannot fault all of the staff who work here - they are all genuinely friendly and show a high warmth and care towards all of the residents as well as all visitors and families. They have plenty of activities arranged for them all of the time and we have participated in carol concerts, arts and crafts, sing a longs, and magic shows building up some really strong relationships with the children and residents. All residents seem really happy here!

My husband is a resident at Ruddington Manor Care Centre. He says it is excellent, all the staff are superb and so much better than before (where he stayed for respite care).

The family agree that it is an excellent care home, attractive and clean but it is the staff that take it to the top bracket. Everyone from the managers, reception and office staff, nurses and carers, kitchen staff, cleaners and maintenance chap are superb. They are wonderfully caring, helpful and cheerful even when they are under pressure.

Everyone at Ruddington Manor has been so kind and welcoming to Mum. Her room is like a 5-star hotel as is the food, her dignity is clearly of high priority and her worries and concerns at just having gone into care are addressed quickly in an attempt to settle her into her new environment. I feel like a relative I am made to feel at home too and nothing is too much bother. 10 out of 10 from me!

A warm and welcoming care home. Staff go above and beyond to ensure residents are comfortable and happy.

The cleanliness is to a very good standard. The medical team ensure that patients are comfortable at all times and any concerns are raised with either local GP or doctor on call.

I would highly recommend this nursing home to others. I will always be grateful for the care they are giving my mum.

Anne
Anne Job Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2024

I have been a registered nurse since 2008. I initially worked in a hospital, but when I started working in a care home, I knew that my heart belonged to elderly care. I joined New Care in 2019 as a Deputy Home Manager, and although I had to leave in 2021 to become Home Manager then proceeded to become a Regional Manager. I know that I would want to go back to working for New Care as the company holds the same values as I do. I love how caring the company is, not just to the residents but also to the staff. They make sure that everyone is well taken care of. I have been fortunate to be working alongside the wonderful team at Ruddington Manor. We are one in aiming to give the highest quality of care to our residents in the home and improve their quality of life.

In my spare time, I like to spend it with family. I have a 10-year-old son, Marco, and an 11-month-old baby, Olivia, who keep me busy with their antics in my free time.

Reanne
Reanne Job Title:Deputy Manager

Before my promotion to Deputy Manager, I started working at Ruddington Manor as Head of Residential Care in 2021, this was following a few years as a Senior Care Assistant for those living in Residential Dementia care. I found myself working in a Dementia Specialist Nursing Home whilst at University studying Health and Social Care. I found a passion for elderly care and have gradually progressed within the industry.

Whilst New Care has supported me in completing my Level 5 in Leadership and Management within Health and Social Care, I was initially drawn to the home by the warm atmosphere. Our team realize the company values daily and naturally builds such meaningful relationships with those in our care, and their loved ones, that it is easy to be proud of what we do and enjoy coming to Ruddington Manor each day.

Lulia
Lulia Job Title:Clinical Lead

I am a qualified nurse with over 10 years of experience in healthcare. I have been part of the Lovett family for nearly six years, starting my journey as a Nurse, progressing to Senior Nurse, and now proudly working as Clinical Lead at Lovett Care. I truly enjoy my role and feel privileged to be part of the wonderful team at Ruddington Manor.

Katrina
Katrina Job Title:Home Administrator

I began working at Ruddington Manor in April 2022, and from the very beginning, it felt like both the care sector—and this home in particular—was exactly where I was meant to be.

In February 2024, I was proud to be promoted to Administrator, and I’ve never looked back. Ruddington Manor is a truly special place, full of life, love, and kindness.

I’m passionate about working in care because I love seeing our residents happy, well-cared-for, and truly valued. My role allows me to connect with a wide range of people—from residents and their families to visitors and colleagues—and I appreciate that every day brings something different.

I take great pride in providing support to families, residents, and staff whenever it’s needed, and over time, I’ve built strong, meaningful relationships across the home.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, my partner, and our family and friends.

Glashelle
Glashelle Job Title:Wellbeing Coordinator

I began my career at Ruddington Manor in September 2023 as a Care Assistant, where I spent a year and a half dedicating myself to delivering compassionate, high-quality care. During this time, I discovered my true passion lay in bringing joy, creativity, and meaningful experiences to residents through activities and companionship.

This led me to transition into the Wellbeing team as a Wellbeing Assistant, where I could focus on making a positive difference in residents’ daily lives. In September 2025, I was promoted to Wellbeing Coordinator, a role that allows me to combine my kindness, respect, and love for others with my drive to create uplifting moments.

I have been honoured with two consecutive nominations for the ‘Golden Ticket’ award, recognising the magical days I provide for residents. I am proud to have begun my career journey at Ruddington Manor and excited to continue making an impact with enthusiasm and care.

Ali
Ali Job Title:Head of Hospitality

Since 2009, I have built extensive experience across the hospitality, hotel, travel, and events industries, developing a strong passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences. Throughout my career, I have gained a deep understanding of people’s needs, ensuring care, attention to detail, and empathy in every role I have undertaken.

I am currently proud to serve as Head of Hospitality at Ruddington Manor Care Centre. Working in this environment feels especially meaningful to me, as I was very close to my grandparents. That personal connection inspires my commitment to providing respectful, compassionate, and high-quality care to every resident - just as I would for my own family.

Ayoub
Ayoub Job Title:Head Chef

I joined Ruddington Manor as Head Chef in April 2023, bringing with me 13 years of experience across restaurants, hotels, and care homes.

What inspires me most about working in care is the chance to combine my love of cooking with the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. For me, food is never just a meal - it’s a way to show care, quality, and heart.

The best part of working at Ruddington Manor is the genuine sense of family. We’re one team, always supporting one another to give residents the very best experience.

One of the proudest moments in my career was cooking for the Nottingham Forest Football Team - a true highlight I’ll never forget!

Outside of the kitchen, I enjoy football, travelling, and exploring new cuisines from around the world - both cooking and tasting them.

A favourite quote of mine is: “Do something good and good will come back to you.” It’s a principle I strive to live and work by every day.

Ellen
Ellen Job Title:Home Trainer

Having worked for New Care, now Lovett Care, for over 7 years, I feel that from the very beginning, I knew I had made the right decision to work here. Here we have in-house trainers in all of our homes, which is a great advantage to the care industry, as there are always opportunities for all staff members to learn new things and career development within the home, gaining support and guidance from the manager and home trainer. I aim to provide top-quality training to all staff, which allows them to provide top-quality care to the residents
