To anyone needing a care home I would urge you to look at the home's social media page. You will see that this is not an ordinary care home. It is a home from home, filled with love. The staff at Holdingham Grange go above and beyond to make resident's lives happy. You can provide super facilities,
as they do here, but it's the staff that make a home special and Rebecca has built a wonderful caring team. I cannot praise them enough.

Mum's been here for a year now. Mum seems ok when we visit. I believe she enjoys activities here. The staff are very helpful, pleasant.
The home is extremely clean and has a welcoming feel about it.
(One thing I would like to mention is the dinner. I'm sure it's delicious, but it looks nothing like
the a la carte food shown on your website.)
Reply from Rebecca Nisbet, Registered Manager at Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing HomeThank you for your thoughtful review. We're pleased your mum is settling in well and that you're happy with her experience. Our menus change regularly and may differ from those shown on the website, but we always aim to provide tasty, nourishing options. If you have any suggestions or preferences, we'd love to hear them.

Alot of care homes talk the talk of being a family etc but Holdingham Grange follows through. Their staff and most importantly the management team really care and take the time to really get to know each resident. They've really gone out the way to make my father in law feel as comfortable as he can
be in his condition and we feel 100% at ease that he is being not only looked after but loved and cared for.

My mum was a resident for nearly 5 years before she passed away recently. She was very well looked after by the very caring staff.
Whenever we visited (several times a week), it was like walking into our home.
I have recommended the home to anyone who is looking for somewhere for their relatives.

My father jas been in Holdingham Grange for some months now. We would have loved to care for him at home, but realise his care needs are best served where he is. He is happy and content. I never need to worry that his health or needs won't be met by the kind, caring, professional staff. There is a high
degree of trust between the family and the staff. His well-being is of utmost importance and I am content in knowing he is well looked after. Extraordinary place, incredible staff. 5 stars.

My grandad is a resident at Holdingham Grange and he is very happy there. He is a very private man, and we thought it would be a difficult transition from living at home on his own to moving into a care facility, but everyone at Holdingham Grange is so kind and caring and respectful of my grandad and
his needs. Everyone from the cleaning, catering, caring and management staff are really great. It feels more like family. I will definitely recommend it.

This is an excellent care home in every respect. My friend feels he has joined a family. Staff are warm and welcoming and clearly feel valued as employees. Management are responsive to requests and needs of individual residents. The home has a calm and orderly atmosphere without being clinical, it is
very homely. Cleanliness is to the highest standard.

My father has now been at Glenholme for 2 months, moving from another care home setting. He has settled into Glenhome very quickly due to the amazing staff who have cared for him exceptionally well - nothing is ever too much trouble. My da can be a little withdrawn, but since being here, he has been
encouraged to socialise and join in activities which he has thoroughly enjoyed. He is very happy and as a family we are thrilled to see him so.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.997) out of 10 for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 55 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 55 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.997 for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (656 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 658 Ratings = 4.997
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is based on 55 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 55 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
