A very good experience staying here. The only downside was the radiators malfunctioned during the night, kept banging.
Excellent smiley staff, all very helpful and friendly. Visitors were also treated kindly with teas coffees and cakes.
Reply from Hazel Whittaker, Registered Manager at Thimbleby Court Care HomeThank you for your kind review I am pleased you enjoyed your stay. We do occasionally have air in the radiators which can cause a noise. This is easily fixed so I will inform staff what they need to do should it happen at night when maintenance staff are not here.

Mum has been in Vera James for 3 years now, and I have neve been disapointed with her care. There are so many activities and family are always welcome to join in or help which for me is special. I love to see mum keeping busy, smiling and enjoying herself at 94 years old.
Reply from Beverley Murray, Registered Manager at Vera James House Care HomeWe really appreciate your thoughtful review. It's a pleasure caring for your mum and we are pleased to hear she is enjoying her time with us. We're always looking to improve and welcome your suggestions for improving our food or other aspects of the home.

The management and all the staff are always friendly and efficient, and put me at ease when visiting mother.
At first, I wondered if I was doing the right thing by taking mother out of her home, but am confident I did. She is well looked after, safe and in company. I know she really enjoys being well
fed and in others' company.
Thank you to all the staff at Glenholme.
Reply from Ewa Drzewicka, Registered Manager at Halmer Court Care HomeThank you for your lovely review, Susan. We're so pleased to care for your mother and glad to know you feel reassured by her care.

My father has been at Holdingham Grange for the last couple of months. The care he has received has been exceptional. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times. He enjoyed his time here greatly, and I also found my time here visiting enjoyable too. I cannot thank you all enough for your hard
work, care and friendliness.

My father in law Fred is currently residing here for end of life care. All of the staff have been exceptional, nothing has been too much trouble, and my father in law has been cared for in the very best way, in the final chapter of his life. We will forever be grateful for the care that he has received
in the short amount of time that he has been at Holdingham Grange. My partner Luke is spending lots of time here with his father, and the staff have treated him with compassion and empathy, in what is the most difficult of times for us as a family. The care home itself is just beautiful, spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. I have an absolutely nothing negative I could say about the staff, the grounds, or the care that my father in law has received. We will forever be grateful to you all at Holdingham Grange. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Reply from Rebecca Nisbet, Registered Manager at Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing HomeThank you for your heartfelt words. We're truly honoured to be caring for Fred and to support your family during this time.

Very grateful that my husband and myself were able to have rooms with you so quickly and smoothly. Most of the care was very good and professional which was most appreciated. There were a few problems but these were generally sorted out. There were times when the staffing levels were inadequate and
this put a strain on the carers and had a knock on affect on the residents. Generally I am very pleased with the care I had.
Reply from Louise Bassett, Regional Operations Director at Thimbleby Court Care HomeThank you for your review and for sharing your experience with us. We're pleased to hear that your admission was smooth and that you were happy with much of the care provided.
We also take your comments regarding staffing levels seriously and will be reviewing this to ensure we continue to provide a consistent standard of care for all residents. We appreciate you highlighting this and are committed to ongoing improvement.
If you would be open to discussing your feedback further, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

J.M.B is not an easy person to be caring for because of her moods. She often looks happy, says how good everyone is to her and likes to join in with some activities. She often says how lucky she feels to be here.

I spent two weeks in respite at Thimbley Court, accompanying my wife, who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's four years earlier. My aim was to familiarize her with the care home, so that, should I no longer feel able to care for her or simply need a short time away from our apartment, there would be
a place she is happy to go to. This hope was realised, as she felt she was very well looked after, especially during the three days I spent away visiting my sister. Staff were very friendly and supportive, always ready to give time to individuals' needs, whatever the pressures on them. My only reservation was the eating arrangements: while I appreciate the problems of serving assorted residents with a variety of disabilities, meals in the dining room were often a fairly tedious experience, with staff simultaneously serving us and sorting out food for those who were bedridden. Some managed this better than others. Overall, a positive experience, and my thanks to all who looked after us.
Reply from Hazel Whittaker, Registered Manager at Thimbleby Court Care HomeThank you for your kind review. We are constantly improving our dining experience, and thank you for your constructive feedback which we will take on board to make this a more positive outcome for residents.

All the staff say 'hello' or 'good morning', always with a smile. My mother-in-law loves the staff and is happy and very settled in the care home. Lots of activities for them to join in or just sit and watch to make them feel included.
Enjoys her food and especially the bistro for cups of tea and cake
when we visit.
Very light and clean surroundings and a pleasant environment created by everyone.
Reply from Rebecca Nisbet, Registered Manager at Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing HomeWe really appreciate your kind words. We're so pleased your mother-in-law has settled in well and is having a positive experience with us.

To anyone needing a care home I would urge you to look at the home's social media page. You will see that this is not an ordinary care home. It is a home from home, filled with love. The staff at Holdingham Grange go above and beyond to make resident's lives happy. You can provide super facilities,
as they do here, but it's the staff that make a home special and Rebecca has built a wonderful caring team. I cannot praise them enough.
