My mother has been a resident in this home for four years. Throughout this time her care has been excellent and she keeps well. The home is spotlessly clean and everything is well maintained. Mum enjoys a varied diet and always enjoys the food provided. All the staff work tirelessly to cater to all
the needs of the residents. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a kind word and smile.

My wife was first here for some 4 months, until sadly she passed peacefully away and was very well looked after during her stay in Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home. Some time later I became a resident here and now would not want to be at any other home. I have been very well looked after by the
wonderful management and staff caring for my welfare and comfort. The place is very friendly and lively and I would like to thank everybody here for making my home such a happy place.

My experience as a relative of a resident has been difficult and challenging for me and my sister at times, but the staff have always been supportive, understanding and approachable to both of us. The staff have worked so hard, made good decisions about her ongoing care, persevered under severe circumstances
and have been successful beyond my expectations to obtain and give my sister dignity and a good quality of life. Also the staff have maintained a high standard of care in a friendly and trustworthy atmosphere.
I would like to thank the staff on behalf of my sister and myself for all their care and empathy.

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Holdingham Grange. Mum-in-law needed more care than we could give at home and we found the right place first time. The home is light, bright and airy and when you walk into reception, it is clean and free of odours. When you have been there a while,
you realise that it is a nice place to be. The staff and residents are happy. The facilities are good. The food is excellent, as is the care. There are always things going on for the residents to do.
I fully commend Holdingham Grange to you.

My grandmother was admitted to this wonderful home and has settled very quickly. She has advanced dementia and does not like any change however all staff have taken much time and care to get to know her and her needs which has resulted in her being very happy and calmer than ever before.
She has a
beautiful room full of personal possessions and the carers, activities, domestics, managers, nurses, kitchen and maintenance team have all been exceptional in their part of her transfer. A truly caring and professional home. Thank you.

Since my dad has moved to Holdingham Grange his whole outlook has changed. He is more talkative and trying different foods because of the wide variety that is on offer. The room is twice the size of his previous home's room, and has an ensuite. The staff are very supportive and encourage him to try
new things.
All staff are very welcoming and always very pleasant. Management's door is always open and welcome any suggestions. The home is always spotless. There are always activities going on.

Care for my best longest friend was so perfect. Staff in Sleaford were, without exception, caring, respectful and very human. They were considerate to friends and visitors. Reception, nursing staff, carers, catering staff and cleaners always met us with a smile. I can’t thank them all enough for making
the loss of a very special lady less upsetting, as we knew she was in safe and comforting hands. Thank you all.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.997) out of 10 for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 56 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 56 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.997 for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (668 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 670 Ratings = 4.997
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is based on 56 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 56 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
