My dad has only been in the care home for 3 weeks, but his Parkinson's took a severe turn for the worse and he is now on end of life care. I have experienced many care homes with daycare and repsite for my dad but Holdingham Grange is by far the best. The staff are all so caring, kind and understanding,
nothing is too much trouble, they truly care about the residents and I cannot thank them enough. Once you walk into the home, you know immediately this is the place your loves one should be. Thank you to all.

When I first walked into this care home, it has the wow factor in more ways than one. It has the feel of a hotel, home from home feel with lovely surrounding and décor with home from home food. Also, the staff are so so kind and caring, this is a home which I would be more than happy to be in if I needed
to be in the future. I feel too that there need to be more homes like this to be built in the future; for people who need them.

My mother came to Glenholme after a long period in hospital. It's always hard for someone to not be able to return to their own home, however, within a very short time, we could see a difference. She was settled and very happy, the staff are kind, very efficient and caring. The facilities and catering
are second to none. I would highly recommend.
A big thank you to the manager and all her staff.

I bless the day that I found Holdingham Grange, my mother has been a resident now for a few weeks and the care she receives is excellent, she is treated with dignity and respect at all times, her room is large, comfortable and clean, the lounges are beautifully decorated as is the whole building and
Mum says the food is excellent. All the staff and managers are friendly, caring and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The entertainment is varied and top quality and is appreciated by all.
My husband, who has dementia, also attends Holdingham Grange for Day Care one day each week, he really enjoys his daycare which provides stimulation for my husband as well as good company and I know that he is safe and well looked after.
This place is above five star!

My father has only been here for a short time just over three weeks. Myself and family have noticed the change in my dad. He is extremely happy more responsive, remembers my mother which has been wonderful as before when he was living at home he never recognised her. He is managing to wash and change
his clothes every day. We are so grateful with the change in him. Thank you to all the staff.

Such an amazing place from its wonderful facilities and all of the staff. After having grave concerns about putting Mum into care I have from the moment we arrived knew that we had made the right choice. I have no doubts that we couldn't have found a more lovely or better place, and as a family are
really happy that mum has settled very well. Thank you.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.997) out of 10 for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 56 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 56 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.997 for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (668 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 670 Ratings = 4.997
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Holdingham Grange Care & Nursing Home is based on 56 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 56 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
