Mapleton Court Care Home

I was a resident for 2 months after 7 months in hospital. I arrived to Mapleton court still bed bound and unable to do much for myself. Once I arrived I was made to feel welcome, carers come straight to my room, unpack for me, made me comfortable and brought me a drink. The carers labeled my clothes for laundry as I couldn't do this myself. The food was of a brilliant standard. I had spent the time in hospital not eating and a low weight and Mapleton did everything in the kitchen to get me back eating. I didn't take part in activities as I was only 29 but the activities coordinator always made sure to ask if there was anything she could get me. All the carers worked really hard with physio and me, they got me back up walking in 3 weeks. Once I had learnt to walk they would allow me to leave the home daily and be back for medication. It felt like a home from home. Everyone from manager, kitchen, carers, seniors, and domestics made my recovery possible. And I can't thank them enough.THANKYOU

The staff at Mapleton Court are amazing. They have been looking after my uncle for a few years. As a family we know he is receiving the best possible care in a top tier facility. Thank you to everyone who works there for making the last part of his life dignified and comfortable. Tracy and Colin.

I am perfectly happy with all the care that My Mother has received and I am very grateful to the Admin and Birch unit staff.

After difficulties with my father in law living at home and often being a wanderer the decision was made for him to live in a care home , Mapleton court was chosen due to the idyllic and beautiful surroundings in the area , the home itself is run by staff who are very knowledgable and well trained in helping service users live life as they would have done at home but with extra help . The home is beautiful and clean and very well led by the management team . My father in law has been there 3 years now and has put weight on and is extremely well looked after , he is a lot happier in himself and has settled right in straight away . The manager ensures all service users recieve person centred care and the residents are of paramount importance to her in ensuring they are happy with the services they recieve , and I am able to chat to the manager if I have any concerns or worries . I cannot recommend Mapleton court enough to anyone wanting to use a care service

Overall, I feel confident that Mum is safe, cared for and supported here.

Mum has been in mapleton court for 2 years now due to her Alzheimer's. I moved her here from a previous care home that failed to keep her safe and look after her. I have found all the carer's, cleaners, kitchen staff, laundry, maintenance and management totally commited to their jobs and can't fault them in anyway. They all give me peace of mind knowing mum is safe and looked after in the best possible environment for her by truly caring staff and I can't thank them all enough.

Just a little mention to the staff, and cleaners, too, for making me feel welcome when I visited my mam. When I wasn't at my best. My mam looks well cared for. Lovely people, love to you all. The only thing I would say, is that they could do with some kind of security at the main door. Especially in today's times.

I'd just like to say the greatest thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff here for caring for my Grandad right until the very end of his long life. He was on the Birches Unit and every single member of staff treated him as family. They went above and beyond for him and my Grandma when she would visit for the full day to spend the day with him too. You are all amazing and our family appreciates and will continue to remember the outstanding care you gave to him. Thank you once again, you angels.

Mapleton Court is one really amazing people-centred care home. We regularly use for respite for my father who is 83 and 8 1/2 years into Alzheimer’s. The staff are so kind and really caring, so especially good at what they do, understanding each individual service user's needs. This care home is very well run, the place is exceptionally clean, the food is of a good standard, Dad always puts weight on while he’s visiting. The main thing that struck me was how everyone always seems happy when you visit, I have often seen staff playing games with residents, my dad likes tennis balls, staff and other residents play catch with him. I now go away on holiday without worry, knowing the best care will be taken of my dad while I’m away. Thank you to all the amazing staff for making Dad's visits so pleasurable for him.

My father was in full-time care at Mapleton Court Care Home from April to December 2022. I cannot thank the staff there enough for their support during this exceptionally difficult time for all our family. The kindness, understanding and skill set of the whole team are excellent. They cared for Dad so well, and they got to know him and his sense of humour and helped keep that alive. We know that he felt safe and cared for at Mapleton Court. A huge thank you to you all, with love from the family.

A lovely quiet clean and well run home, it’s very calm the staff are wonderful. It’s beautifully decorated with no smells and my sister seems happy and cared for. The staff do a great job. I would highly recommend this home.

Mum has Alzheimer's and having visited several homes nearby I knew Mapleton Court offered what I was looking for straight away. It's bright and airy, on one floor and is like home from home. Mum settled in immediately and the staff are lovely and friendly. I have had no concerns about Mum's care even though her behaviour has become gradually more challenging. The food looks really appetising and is obviously homemade. Birthday parties and celebrations for special occasions eg queen's birthday, VE day also illustrate how staff try to engage with and involve residents. All in all a positive experience.

I have been kept informed in regards to anything Dad needs, and if there has been any changes in regards to his treatment by visiting district nurses. Considering the number of care homes in the local area he has tried with his annual respite quota, this has to be the happiest he has been. He will definitely be here for his next respite.

I would definitely recommend the home to anyone. I am so happy we found this place for Mum, it's been a real weight off our shoulders to know she is being cared for so well. It's been a difficult time due to covid but the staff have tried to make our journey as easy as possible. Thank you for looking after Mum and us at times.

Staff are amazing, so caring and well lead by management. They do amazing work, especially over the last twelve months looking after really poorly people. 10/10. The home is superb, I’m so happy that we have found the right home.

We a family felt supported and had a good relationship with staff. My grandma was well looked after during the time there and we were kept in regular contact. I would recommend the home as it's family-oriented and we are always made to feel welcome. It’s a shame about the visiting but we understand that everyone as to remain safe and respect that.

I would not recommend this care home. Communication and person-centred care here need to be addressed. Food presentation is shocking. I visited my Dad one day he was given gravy with fish! He told me he was scared to complain! Despite Government Covid restrictions, my biggest regret is not moving my Dad out of this care home before it was too late. I will regret this forever.

The care home is one level - no stairs or lifts. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The meals are excellent and there are plenty of activities. All in all a very pleasant atmosphere.
